About this condo rental
Nestled in Florence, this attractive condo for $383 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Our apartments are located in Piazza Beccaria, focal point of a major urban renewal program, by Giuseppe Poggi, initiated during the brief period when Florence was capital of Italy (1865-1871). Piazza Beccaria, backdrop of monumental taste, the fulcrum of which is a medieval tower surrounded by a number of imposing palaces with a concave neoclassical facade. In one of these elegant palaces are hosted our apartments. Our apartments are located in Piazza Beccaria, the focal point of the urban renewal of Florence, capital of Italy since 1865 by the architect Giuseppe Poggi. The square, scenographic backdrop of monumental taste, is characterized by a medieval tower in the center surrounded by a series of buildings with concave facades in neoclassical style and it is precisely in one of these elegant buildings that our apartments are located.

My wife & I (mid-50s) were traveling with our adult son (mid 20s). We arrived a little before scheduled checkin on Sunday & the host was very kind to let us in a little early.
The VRBO was functional & had a decent location with good public transit access. It was a little cold but the bedrooms were a good size and the upstairs had a very nice view of the Duomo.
Our only complaint is with the bathroom. The toilet seat was cracked and would pinch you when you sat on it. According to previous reviews the seat had been cracked for at least a few weeks - plenty of time to be replaced.
And, the shower was very small and difficult to use with the shower floor drain often backing up so you were standing in quite a bit of water.
We had a great trip to Florence & the VRBO was functional for the 3 of us.

Communication with property manger is next to nothing at best. No towels, broken toilet seat, no toilet paper or paper towels. No remote for TV.

We had an amazing stay Evaluna Duomo View! The accommodations are exactly as the pictures with an amazing view over the city. It was a great location and just minutes from great restaurants and attractions. Check in was easy and the host was quick to respond. Would definitely stay here again!

This could easily be a 5* rental. It needs some love and some upgrades. Location is amazing. There is parking nearby not in a ZTL. Very walkable. Amazing view of Firenze from balcony window.
Now the reality. The communication with owner is poor at best. No one is there to meet you to let you into the apartment or provide guidance. Communication was all thru text, with complicated instructions how to get into the apartment. ZERO communication when asking about check out procedure. Never received a response despite multiple messages.
Many things in the apartment are broken or don’t function. The large armoire door was broken and almost injured my wife when it fell in. The toilet seat was cracked and that made sittting on it a challenge. All there was one roll of cheap toilet paper, we bought some new tp to use. The wifi connection is a challenge…like 24 random characters if you’re trying to login from a laptop. Many of the drawer knobs in the kitchen and dining area are missing or broken. There is only one small try for ice. Couches are not very comfortable to sit on, but you aren’t in Firenze to sit around. The whole apartment has a musty odor.
But you can’t beat the view or the location in Florence. If you can live with the short comings, it definitely has advantages. Coffee shop on corner, bakery 1 block away, and a grocery store less than 2 blocks. Quiet and very little traffic or pedestrian noise. 6.5/10 rating.

Property is in an awesome location and the view from the little balcony was spectacular. You have keys to 2 doors for the appartment, Lorenze neglected to tell us that the door before ours in the entry was booked so imagine my husband surprise when a young man was standing in our entry. Unfortunately Lorenze dosnt answer any communication you send him once you check in. Our toilet seat was broken in half on 1 side. He didnt respond to my request for the WIFI details even though I sent several messages to him, there was no TV remote and on checkout,I messaged him the night before to find out the check out process and surprise surprise no response. I messaged him again on the morning of checkout advising him that we just left the keys in the kitchen as he hadnt bothered to advise us the checkout process.

Nice and spacious apartament, just like in the pictures. The apartement is divided in 2 floors. Nice beds and pillows. Funny elevator :)
But there was no toilet paper, no garbage bags neither a lidded bin, no dishwasher machine detergent and no shower gel. Need blackouts.

The flat was well located about 10 mins from the Duomo and center of town. The neighborhood was lovely with lots of cafes, shops and a good Coop.
The flat was generally clean, beds were comfortable and the view from the balcony was spectacular…we spent our evenings looking out over the city with a glass of wine.
The only real moans we have are that the kitchen was poorly stocked and most crockery was dirty, the shower was cold most of the time and that communication with the owner was all very last minute…I had some questions in the days before that just went unanswered.
To summarize, this is a great bolt hole for a few days, with an amazing view, that just needs some updating and love!

The pictures do not do it justice!! It's a two level spacious and comfortable apartment. The view is absolutely spectacular with the sunset!! It's very close to shopping, restaurants and a gelato place right around the corner. We should have stayed longer in Florence.

The appartment is all that previous reviews have stated - certainly the view is the wow factor . Spacious , clean living quarters . I think that an overall welcome book with instructions on where to place rubbish at the end of the stay ; what to do with the keys ; the fact that you cant overload the electrics otherwise it might trip the kettle - general housekeeping rules or advice would be helpful .

This was a wonderful home base for our trip to Florence. Spacious and open, with a view of the great dome and other church towers in the city. The stairs to the 2nd floor of the apartment are a bit narrow, and it’s a walk from the center and Santa Maria Novella, so you’ll want good mobility to take advantage of this. For our family, it was a great place to recharge in between the sights.

This place has loads of potential. The pictures are legitimately what you get and the view is amazing.
The biggest let down was communication with the owner. I asked for the check in process several times with no response, but he didn’t hesitate to ask for the 2nd half of the payment.
On the day of checkin he did finally respond to another request for the process. We made our way to the apartment and notified him we arrived. He responded his girlfriend would let us in. After waiting on the sidewalk another 25 minutes, she did appear, collect the tax and give us the keys. That was the last communication we would have.
The apartment had no toilet paper, and a request for some went unanswered. There was no kitchen garbage, the floors were gritty, and the hand soap in the bathroom ran out after the 2nd hand wash.
When we checked out there was no process provided nor any response to where I should leave the keys, or anything else.
This place could be a real gem, but the communication and attention to detail, need some work.

Yes, the view in the photo is REAL, taken from the upstairs balcony. This is a PERFECT property particularly if you are driving into Florence as it is right on the edge of the pedestrian district. It was well-suited for our family to explore the town, and the neighborhood is wonderful! We'll certainly be back!

I loved the location of this unit. Florence was beautiful and full of life and you are right in the middle of it. Parking was a hassel but we were there during a holiday so everywhere was busy.

The apartment was a nice secure building in a great location yards from one of the most popular streets in the area. We were within walking distance of the Duomo, ponte vecchia, Uffizi Gallery, and numerous churches. I would definitely stay here again.

This home far exceeded our expectations. The pictures can’t do it justice. We were truly stunned on our initial walk through. It also has several local amenities that made it an ideal location. It had an ATM right outside the door, several excellent restaurants within a few 100 feet, and it even has a taxi stop right out front.
Our host was warm, friendly and even very understanding when we were running late. He took plenty of time to explain how all of the features in the home worked. He gave suggestions about local food and sights that were very helpful, and gave us some pointers about navigating around florence.
Last but certainly not least ... the view... WOW the view!!! The picture in the add is a poor 2 demetional represintation of the amazing view of the city you get from the balcony. It’s a living postcard that has to be seen to be believed.

Lorenzo was a wonderful host! He greeted our party of 4 and explained everything about the beautiful apartment and the area. The apartment has the most spectacular view as seen acurately in the pictures on VRBO. I highly recommend this property for 4 people. Also realize it is possible to walk to everything.

A perfect apartment for two pairs or a family. We enjoyed the balcony and the view to the Duomo very much. It was also fun to discover the Mercado and the small streets and interesting shops around this place.

If we could give Lorenzo and his flat 6stars, we would! This flat is ideally located to easy walking distance of the spectacular Duomo, Vecchio Bridge, and other beautiful sights. In order to enjoy the beauty of Florence, you only need look out the living room window. There you can step out onto an adorable balcony and take in the splendor of Florence, most importantly, the Duomo. The photos shown of the Duomo and every other aspect of this flat are spot on. It is well appointed and obvious that Lorenzo pays attention to detail. There is a spa like quality to the bathroom. We were a family with 6 and had plenty of space. We unfortunately only had time to spend one night but believe it would be comfortable for an extended stay. Lorenzo is an exceptional host. He agreed to meet a family member earlier, waited patiently while they were lost, and recovered a ring that our daughter left behind and will personally meet us in a few days for us to retrieve it. We are thrilled to have spent time at his flat. We definitely stay here again if our travels bring us to Florence!!

It is steps away from shopping, restaurants, cafes and gelato. The main sights will require you to walk about 15-20 minutes. The view of the Duomo and other churches is exactly what is advertised and doesn't disappoint! Our host and his Mama were extremely helpful, timely and efficient with everything. The apartment has the basic supplies for your stay. We didn't stay long enough to really use the living room much but it is designed more to accommodate extra beds for guests than to offer comfortable seating. Overall, I would recommend this as a great option for your visit to Florence if you don't mind the walk to reach the main attractions or taking taxi's or buses.
