I got in bed to find the comforter soaking wet from a rain leak. There was no one available to provide a dry comforter.

I loved the location.
There is something going on with the pipes. At night when we were hanging out and watching TV, it sounded as if our neighbors were moving furniture around. It was a bit difficult to get rest and the neighbor came over to ask us to keep it down. This left us perplexed and annoyed.

Location is great, very close to everything food, shopping and the beach.
The room was dirty, sheets had makeup, lipstick on the pillow and hair on the sheets. Toilet paper was still in the trash can and the floor was sticky. I asked to speak to a manager but apparently there was none I left a message and talked to the office manager in charge. I still to this day I have not received a response at all. I was very disappointed, however the lady in charge of laundry did replaced my sheets because I complained to the office and she personally went to the room and looked at the bed sheets because the lady that had cleaned the room that morning stated that it was cleaned.. She was not happy to see a dirty bed. So she cleaned it up herself. I would like to thank her for it.. greatly appreciated and I did enjoy a clean bed.

Directly a hop skip and a jump from Santa Bárbara coastline. Great value, fantastic times, and great restaurants on Cabrillo. Felt like I was in Big Bear with a small beach. People were lovely and great customer service.
Everything went well. No complaints. Great hospitality

The room was not clean, nothing matched. There was used soap sitting on an open plastic wrapper and damp towels in the bathroom.

Awesome location and really neat, tidy, and comfortable room.
Was a bit confusing/frustrating to go to check in at the Alamar only to find out there was no one there and you had to go next door, but it wasn't far and the staff there is great, specifically the front desk agent, Jason? Also wish the vending machine worked.

Location n clean
The shower was moldy, no coffee/filters/coffee cups, no fire place as advertised, breakfast was late/leass than one would get at a motel 6 if they offered breakfast, ocean view/haha.

Location was great!

Didn't have breakfast. You have to walk next door to another property. What I like is they have an upstairs balcony where you can look out at the ocean. It could be kept up a little more. We always have to clean the patio table ourselves.
Front desk should be more accessible. You go to property next door. Not there at check-in time. We have been coming here for a couple of years and there ice machine has never worked.

Location is perfect, very close to shops and right on the water. Villa Rosa is a gem, but Allá mar is ok. The wonderful thing is that you can use Villa Rosa’s amenities, such as the beautiful pool area with jacuzzi in a wonderful court yard. Small breakfast items, cheese and wine in the afternoons, coffee and water area all day.
I did not like the fact that there was no room service. I recommend Villa Rosa over Ala Mar, even though they are connected.

The location was perfect! Simple set up that had what I needed!
Upstairs neighbor was loud every morning.

The room was cosy and next to the beach. Price was really reasonable. Breakfast was deasant too with pancakes :)
The check in was a bit confusing as the office were in the other motel next to this one.

The property was in a great location just across from the beach. And we could walk all around and find stores and restaurants to eat at without having to drive .
The property was nice in the outside but the brooms were outdated. The bathrooms were not the best the shower box very small.

Excellent location right on the beach.
I stayed in downstairs room and the upstairs floor was extremely noisy. The room was humid and smelled a little moldy. No AC - only fan. I tried airing out but as my room faced the street and bypassers it didn't feel safe keeping the door open for too long. Check-in was a little chaotic and room wasn't ready for check-in time.

Location and the patio on the second floor were my favorite.
Small room and no air conditioner or fan. Was sweating all through the night. Couldn’t leave the window open because there was a rat outside and the screen to the windows were bent so we were scared that it would come into our room.

Honestly, after reading some of the reviews, I wanted to cancel or reservation and stay elsewhere. I’m so glad I didn’t and my experience here was great! Location is the obvious draw…but the room was eclectic, arty and fun. It was clean and that roof deck view is the best place to have morning coffee.
No sir conditioning, but room had a fan and the open windows kept the room cool.
