Clean, great location, surprisingly large apartment. Only downside was the roof fan which makes an annoying noise when spinning. Aside from that we loved the place!

We were very impressed with the unit, the location and the service. Elsa, her daughter, Maria and Roberto in the office downstairs were all very helpful. There's really nothing I can fault! Hope to be able to go back soon.

Great apartment for a stay in Funchal. Centrally located by the park and easy to find your way anywhere in town. It has a well equipped kitchen. Elsa and her mother are there to answer any questions. There is so much to see and do on Madeira Island and the central location of the apartment made it easy to access the bus system or taxi's when ever we needed. Tourist information is near by, and the harbour is a short walk. The street the apartment is on was quiet so sleeping was not disrupted. Lots of great restaurants and cafes within a minute or two walk as is the big shopping centre with a grocery store. Highly recommend staying here. Will be back!

Lovely apartment, suits us as we like to relax and do our own thing and not have to meet meal times in hotels. The apartment is well equipped with all relevant facilities including an oven and washing machine. Wifi is free and really good as we where using an Amazon Fire stick, tablet and phone. This was our second visit to Elsa's apartment and Elsa was helpful and explained everything we needed to know. Location is central Funchal which we want near the Municipal Gardens, supemarket a couple of minutes walk which is great for us as we like to self cater rather than meals out.

Lovely well appointed apartment with a lift which is much appreciated when you have suitcases or are tired after a busy day. Exit apartment building and look left you can see the marina, so very central. Elsa and her mother who lives upstairs were very quick to respond to any problems we had. We loved Madeira and enjoyed the hop on hop off bus, minibus tour, the lovely gardens, cable car , levada - easy walk, afternoon tea at Reid's hotel (make reservation), there are also some lovely restaurants. Would stay here again if we revisited Madeira.

We stayed for 3 weeks at the Garden Apartment during the annual Flower Festival and the location of this apartment was perfect as it is in the town and within easy walking distance of many attractions. We have now stayed in four of Elsa's apartments and they have all been well maintained, clean, nicely furnished and have the little extras such as foil, cling film, soap, wash powder etc. Elsa is a lovely lady and is always quick to respond to bookings/queries. I would recommend any of Elsa's properties to friends and family. We have already booked again for next year!

The flat is very well located, right by the main square of Funchal. It has all facilities you would expect. It was very clean and well decorated. Some reviewers have said the back street could be noisy. We did not experience any problem of that kind (maybe streets are quieter than normal in winter...) This was the second time we booked a flat with Elsa and once again she was incredibly helpful. She was here to help when we asked for a new high chair for our little one. She speaks very well English and I would certainly contact her once again next time we go to Madeira.

Very clean, well furnished and well equipped second floor apartment in central Funchal. Ideally situated for nearby beautiful garden, excellent supermarket, buses, marina and cable car. Fantastic architecture in Funchal and a beautiful city to explore. Elsa, the owner, was very helpful and informative. Would highly recommend visiting the botanical gardens and Monte Palace Gardens.

Lovely apartment just what we required for our stay in Funchal. Elsa very helpful and friendly collected us from the airport and took us back . We have been going to Madeira for 10 years and will definately be going back in October. Will be booking the Garden apartment with Elsa.

Sehr schöne Wohnung in top Lage! Sauber, alles vorhanden. Wenn einer meint hier wäre es laut, ja stimmt zum Teil- man darf nicht vergessen, man ist voll in der Stadtmitte und Teil des nachtsleben. Für uns auch mit 2 Kindern war absolut in Ordnung!Elsa ist eine tolle Person, hilfsbereit, hat uns guten Tipps gegeben.! Sehr schön, dass wir sie kennen gelernt haben! Würden wieder kommen

The property was welcoming and home from home with all facilities required and good spacious bright rooms. Also very central to nice gardens, good shopping centre and lots of good restaurants. Near to the Marina, with a variety of boat trips available. We loved the trip on the galleon style ship Santa Maria, saw many pilot whales and those who wanted could dive in for a swim. We went on the cable car to Monte and enjoyed the amazing views looking down to Funchal. We made our own way by bus to Calheta, very scenic journey round mountains and coast to sandy imported beaches. Had a lovely day in the sunshine. Elsa and her mum were very warm and helpful and we would recommend the property to friends and family. Jim and Sally, Edinburgh

Elsa picked us up from the airport, the flat was very convenient in the centre of town close to Old Town, market, all the buses, supermarket and all amenities. The flat was very clean with everything we needed. So many good restaurants in the area we didn't need to cater for ourselves. I would highly recommend any of Elsa apartment's. She was so helpful

We had a very enjoyable stay, loved the island and enjoyed sampling the local food specialities. Walked the levadas but unfortunately the weather was rather mixed so mist spoiled the views. The apatment was very well equipped,clean, comfortable beds, good central location which can make it a little noisy at weekends. My only suggestions would be that it would be nice to have a fan in the second bedroom. Elsa the owner was very helpful and gave us a good welcome.
