We had a wonderful weekend away in this Cozy cabin. It had plenty of room for the two of us and our dog loved the peace and quiet. We walked down the road to Rood Pond but also the location was also close enough for a short trip to Burlington. Mary had great directions to the cabin and had recommendations for groceries and food. Would definitely stay again!

I have already recommended others to stay there! Bring firewood for the wood stove!

Great place to stay. Exactly what we were looking for! Loved the pond below and just walking around on the trails. We ventured into the town of Northfield which wasn’t far and found a great brewery and pub called Good Measure. Great food and beer!

The cabin was clean and well stocked. Nice to have options to cook, stove, gas grill or charcoal grill. Comfortable rocking chairs on front porch for relaxing and taking in the view. I took nice walks around the property and to the pond while my daughter drove an hour north for a more strenuous hiking experience. Would love to revisit in the winter. Absolutely would recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our time staying here, especially our dog, who loved searching for frogs in the pond, which we had to ourselves in Bear’s den. The cabin was well-appointed with basic needs for cooking and bathing (nice shower pressure) and cable tv. Not having Wi-Fi forced me to not work, which was the point of a vacation and I actually read a real book. The futon couch wasn’t comfortable to sit on long though, and the downstairs bedroom l believe was a double bed rather than a queen. If you definitely want a queen I would clarify that it is with Mary the property manager. Overall we had a wonderful time.

My wife and 1 were looking for a quite relaxing weekend getaway to spend our 1 year anniversary. And that’s exactly what we found when staying here. We were lucky enough to get Moose lodge, and it had everything we could have needed for an enjoyable stay.
The location is beautiful and we spent most of our time just sitting on the porch watching the clouds go by and had several turkeys come and visit us.
Just a quick drive into town for everything else we needed.
We will be coming back here again in the future and will be telling friends as well. 5 star review all the way.

It was exactly what my boyfriend and I were looking for! Cute little cabin in the woods that was close enough to find some trails for mountain biking!
Had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom.
Plus, the walk to the pond is perfect for an evening walk with the dog!

We were looking for a private place to rest, relax, and recharge after months of difficult medical issues with a grandchild, who has now recovered, thankfully. We found that place here on a wooded mountain top in our small log cabin with access to a serene pond and a woodstove for the cool nights. But, it also not far from a couple of cities with excellent restaurants. We definitely found the peace and solitude we needed here, and returned home rested and restored!

We had a wonderful stay! 4 wheel drive during mud season was the best advice! The cabin was cozy and quaint. We enjoyed star gazing from the porch and the beautiful scenery. It is very quiet and secluded. Perfect week exploring Vermont.

This was our second stay at one of the Birch Meadow Log Cabins, and yet again we had a delightfully cozy and quiet trip despite some exceptionally cold temperatures!

We had a wonderful time staying in this cabin for two nights. The property is gorgeous, and if you want to get away from it all, this is a great place to do it. The wood stove was in great working condition, and the cabin was clean and well supplied. As the pictures show the cabins are small, but they really utilize the space very well. My family of 4 with two young kids (7 and 5) did not feel cramped at all. Mary was very accommodating and answered all questions quickly. We had fun on a couple walks around the property and sledding on the hill outside the cabin. Barre was close enough and we even made it over to Ben and Jerry's, always worth the trip! We would absolutely come back again.

The place was even better than described, super comfortable and well appointed, and incredibly well insulated against the cold! Plus the owner was incredibly friendly and communicative, and we cannot wait to visit again.

Cute little cabin in the woods. Quiet and clean. Highly recommend checking out 1000 Stone Farmstand over the hill for fresh and local foods. Great location to explore Vermont.

This cabin was the perfect size for my wife, myself, and our dog. The cabin was rustic (I mean this in a very good way) and clean. The hosts were very kind and helpful as well. I would happily book this location again in the future.

This was my second time staying here. I love the quiet, my dog loves to walk around the grounds, there is no wifi and poor cell reception which, for me, is a big plus. Makes it very easy to get really away. October is an especially beautiful time with the leaves changing. Less than half an hour from Montpelier also which has everything you could need if you do want to go out. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed for 5 day’s we only wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin was perfect just like the pictures showed. Only peace and quiet sitting on the porch watching the leave’s change with a glass of wine and my wife by my side, can’t get better than that.

The cabin was comfortable and homey. Biggest complaint was the pillows on the bed were lumpy and uncomfortable. Otherwise we loved the serenity, rocking chairs on the front porch, fires in the stove and the paddle boat. We even discussed how we could live in a space that size as we are planning to downsize when we move in a few years. Overall a great 30th anniversary getaway.
