About this house rental

Nestled in Sedona, this charming house for $186 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. This is an updated older 1,512 sq. ft. home (dating from the late 1980s) in a quiet, tree shaded neighborhood of west Sedona that is fed by underground spring water (only a small area of Sedona is on well water). There are tall leafy trees but don't expect a green yard; it is Sedona rustic. The house is close to parks, restaurants, hiking, biking (bike rentals nearby), golf, spas and health facilities, performing/arts and celebration and movie venues. There is also a nearby community park with a clubhouse, tennis courts, an oleympic sized swimming pool, outdoor stage, and an adjacent dog park. Area recreational activities such as hot air ballooning, kayaking and river sports, swimming and fishing are available as well as an outstanding wild animal park nearby. Activities also include art and tourist shopping. In addition there are four grocery stores, two drug stores and two hardware stores for basic needs within close proximity when you want to stay in, cook and enjoy the well equipped kitchen. "Uptown Sedona" is just a short five minute drive from the house with more arts and tourism shopping and many more restaurants. The home has a very large, but rustic fenced backyard with a BBQ grill and table and seating. For star gazing at night there is a propane raised fire pit (for safety no cooking allowed on the fire pit - not even toasting marshmallows) and reclining chairs. Leaf filtered, but not full, views of famous Thunder Mountain are available in the daytime. Old stories have it that Walt Disney vacationed in Sedona and one of his movies was inspired by Thunder Mountain. It's fun to have coffee in the morning or wine in the evening and watch the many birds, butterflies, squirrels and critters playing, or to walk the infinity labyrinth to think or meditate. The warm and comfortable home has large open rooms and is filled with original artwork and some antique furniture pieces. The kitchen appliances include a full size stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator and there is a laundry room with large washer and dryer available for guest convenience (MUST USE COLD WATER FOR WASH). Plenty of CDs, DVDs, books and board games are provided and the dining/recreational room offers cable television and a DVD player for the large screen TV. The recreational room also offers a computer alcove for computer needs with high speed internet. This room has a separate entrance to the back yard but is not to be used for parties or large gatherings. The electric fireplaces in the winter and ceiling fans in the summer add to the comfort of the home in addition to the whole house heating and cooling. The home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and each bedroom offers two single beds, pushed together to make a king sized bed in the master bedroom and the master bedroom opens to the front private deck and waterfall. The bathrooms have marble countertops and shower heads that can be adjusted for height. The fully equipped kitchen offers guests a perfect place for home cooked meals if going out for dinner to Sedona's many eclectic restaurants isn't desired. Please ask for list of kitchen appliances, utensils and cooking and dining ware. Outside guests can relax and visit in the private ivy covered front courtyard, Sheltered by large trees and vines its bubbling waterfall and pebble pond are very peaceful. At the back of the house, enjoy a shaded deck, rocking chairs, reclining chairs for star gazing and table with chairs and propane grill as you eat breakfast or dinner or to just sit and watch the birds and critters or stars in the back yard. There is some unevenness of the deck and between the upper and lower decks so please watch your footing on the back deck and also in the "Sedona rustic" back yard. The house sits in a small area of Sedona that is fed by an underground aquifer and it feeds the tall green trees of the area. There is uncovered parking in front of the house. For guest protection and in compliance with CDC and EPA recommendations, we are following stringent cleaning protocols with the Ecolab® peroxide disinfecting products which are recommended by the healthcare industry against the Novel Coronavirus SARS-C0-2 and other illnesses. Cleaning and safety are paramount at Quiet Haven and the home is cleaned with the Ecolab® products between each visit. Pre-measured Ecolab® low sudsing laundry detergent for high efficiency machines is used for the house towels and linens and is available for guest use (cold water only). In addition our cleaning company uses all all eco friendly, hypoallergenic, chemical free and sustainable products. The cleaning products are all harmless for people and pets but powerful for pests and airborne pathogens. Recycling is encouraged and recycling bins are provided. The house is safety certified and we ask guests to adhere to insurance mandated safety regulations. No smoking is allowed anywhere on the premises, inside or outside, and the two fireplaces are artificial (no log burning).. Sedona is very dry and, for safety there can be no open flames, i.e. candles, etc. anywhere on the property. Children are welcome with their families and pets (dogs only) are welcome with certain restrictions; they must be well house trained, adults over a year old with all vaccination and flea/tick meds up to date and under 30 lbs. in weight. There is a pet fee of $35 per pet per visit with a two dog limit. Larger dogs will be considered at $45. Pets are not allowed on the furniture without a pad underneath them. They cannot be left alone in the house at any time (even the most well trained dogs can suffer separation anxiety in unfamiliar surroundings and become destructive, mark "their territory" or bark which disturbs the neighbors). Owners must clean up after pets both inside and outside and waste must be disposed of properly. If extra cleaning is required because of pet soiling, the pet owner will be expected to pay for the cleaning. If owners cannot take their dogs with them, there are several "doggie daycares" in the area where they can be left for short periods or for the day. Dogs are the only pets allowed. An important note: Check in time is between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. and my friend who lives adjacent to the property will meet you and show you the house and tell you about the operation of appliances/TV/heating and cooling, etc. If necessary, self check-in available with a lockbox but he is available to explain important things about the operations of systems within the house. The cables for the TV/DVR, and hoses for the washing machine are set correctly as is and Must Not Be Changed. If they are moved, it can result in damage to, or unsafe operation of the equipment. If a repair is required, the visitor will be charged for it. The house is on a special electricity conservation plan and the washer/dryer should not be used between the Sedona peak use times of 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. For those unfamiliar with Sedona, it is located within the middle of Arizona's northern vacation country. It is approximately 45 minutes from Flagstaff, 2 hours from the Grand Canyon, 20 minutes from Old Town Cottonwood, an hour from the mountain community of Jerome and 1 1/2 hour from Phoenix. At 4,326 ft. in altitude, Sedona offers a temperate but seasonable year around climate and a topography that varies from high, arid desert to green forests along the Oak Creek that flows down the mountain from Flagstaff through Sedona's downtown and on to Cottonwood. This home is inviting and comfortable in all seasons and offers a wonderful base from which to enjoy all that Sedona and the surrounding area offer. Sedona has always been voted one of the most beautiful places in the United States to visit and people from all over the world come for recreation, spiritual renewal, art enjoyment or just sight seeing and relaxation. It is one of only eight International Dark Sky communities and the star gazing is wonderful. Come visit; you will enjoy your stay! Quiet Haven operates with a City of Sedona permit 012760 and with an Arizona Transaction Privilege Tax License number 21127636. Quiet Haven is in compliance with AZ Senate Bill 1168 and any known violation of this bill by guests will not be tolerated. Thank you for your cooperation.

This is the 1st time in about 25 years to visit Sedona. We started in Phoenix for 4 days for a wedding, took the quick 2 hours to Sedona to relax & enjoy the scenery. Then we took another 2 hour day trip to the Grand Canyon, and back to Sedona to relax again. This was the perfect location.

Well-maintained house. Great front patio with a small fish pond. Well, shaded. Great place for morning coffee. Location near to all amenities -- with Whole Foods nearby. Comms with Laureen -- very good. Would stay here again without question. No concerns whatsoever.

Great location. Quiet older neighborhood that is close to one of the main streets. Close to various restaurants, etc. The house was lovely. The backyard has a great view. The property owner and Leonard were available by phone and extremely helpful. Leonard has knowledge of great hikes, sights to see in the area. Would rent again.

I stayed for 3 wonderful winter months in this house for my Sedona visit. Family stayed with me for holidays. The home is cozy (2 fireplaces), full of natural light, spacious (2 living rooms)has a large fenced yard which was great for my dog. There's a lovely, shaded front courtyard with a soothing pond. The place looks exactly like the photos. The host, Laurenn, was very responsive and helpful. There's an onsite manager, Leonard, who lives in an attached apt; he's super nice and available for any immediate issues you need help with. As others noted, the location is ideal--in a very quiet neighborhood great for walks and close to many restaurants and shops. I hope to return!
