Perfect location, great for the price.

Very well located downtown, two minutes from the BART and cable car. Plenty of restaurants around. Beds are comfortable.

Our room with four bunkbeds had nowhere to hang coats, jackets and the sink had no hook to hang handtowels. It’s the only thing missing but with four people in the room, it’s a necessity.

Great place to stay. If I’m back in San Francisco , I will definitely stay again!

Very clean, kitchen was spotless! Facilities was exceptional!! Staff were very friendly.

The only thing I could say is that the room was quiet small, but did not bother me and my group what so ever!

Good balance between price and quality.

Very good location close to union square and near of subway and bus stations. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Easy to check-in and check-out.

Rooms did not have bottles of water.

- staff - bed, soft and comfy, 4 pillows - location, 30 min from airport by BART

- obligatory online check in - would appreciate a refrigerator - no possibility to make tea in the room, only in the common area

Annoying registration but rest was fine.

The beds were quite comfortable. I also enjoyed the green tea provided on the 2nd floor.

The most annoying part is the registration via Sonder where you have to give an ID and face screenshots - I'd like to have a real check-in without storing my data! Quite small rooms with the only sink being in the room. Rest was fine.

Good stay. don't let the area put you off, but take precautions to stay safe.

Excellent and friendly staff. Easy to get in using the Sonder app. Quality and clean hotel. Comfy beds. Felt safe inside the hotel. Very secure luggage room. Kitchen area with facilities to make drinks and a Microwave was very useful, convenient and money saving. Small lounge and work area also very useful. Good central location, although important to stay safe as the area is not good. Take Ubers and walk out and to the right and head always behind the hotel towards Union square, not straight ahead in to Tenderloin. Easy 20-30 mins in taxi to/from SFO airport.

Small 4 bedded bunk room for 4 adults. It was actually OK but with no where to put things, you have to live out of your suitcase. They could do with some hooks or furniture to put things on. Located on the edge of the dodgiest area of the city with druggies and homeless in abundance. it's OK as long as you come out and walk preferably out and to the right towards Ellis. Or, as we did, order lots of Uber to get you to where you're going and back safely. Don't let it put you off but you do need to take precautions and I wouldn't go out at night in the area.

Unexpected but okay hotel at good location with some challenges.

Close to Union Square and the cable car start stop. Modern concept with quite new furniture and equipment (lots of power and USB outlets available. Location is nice and good public transit available from there. Many restaurants around, mostly Asian cuisine (Indian, Chines, Thai etc.).

Comparable very small room, no closets or space to leave your suitcase open. No staff on site most of the time. I booked a 2 twin bed room and then got the information when checking in that it is a bunk bed. Wasn't a problem but not what I expected. I was told it was shown in the photos but booking.com does simply show photos of all rooms and not related to the room you book. While its located quite central, the area itself is not that nice. Buildings are run down and lots of homeless people and tents up on the sidewalks. The area south of Market Street is just a few steps away.

If nothing comes up during your stay, it's actually great, for what you pay.

Great location, easy- to- access supply closet, comfy bed, well- stocked room.

Minimal staffing and self-directed format frustrating if you have concerns E.g. bathroom light going out and luggage storage room at full capacity. As staff are often not at the front desk, it is typical to communicate with them via the chat app. However, noticed it was exceedingly difficult to get anything addressed-- would often be dismissed or given generic answer, as seen when it bathroom light went out. We were told there was no maintenance staff available on weekends and it wasn't until we expressed the inconvenience of the matter that they finally sent someone. I understand where they're coming from but certainly frustrating to experience, as a guest.

Hotel location is very good near to union station and metro, walking distance. Rooms are clean.

Hotel is very clean and good security system, felt safe.

Wild horses would not drag me to any Sonder hotel.

Location was central but also opposite a popular site for homeless, drunks and people with obvious mental problems.

Booking process a nightmare. Reservation was cancelled 3x for "Invalid Credit Card". There was no problem with the card but I "updated"anyway but still had reservation cancelled while in-flight, despite emailing Sonder to say I'd sort on arrival. Phoned from airport and had to do online ID and check in - very unhappy at having to disclose this info online to an organisation I know nothing about. On arrival no-one at check in and had to figure out needed code etc (hadn't been explained over the phone). Was someone on reception the following day (she was helpful but too late) who said card issue was a glitch with Booking.com. (Must be just with Sonder as I subsequently successfully booked taxi on Booking.com on the same card.) Also said I could leave luggage as code valid until 8pm, but by then I assumed I only had access until 11am and had already arranged to go straight to airport as didn't want to haul luggage around all day. Wasted 24 hours of my life.

Perfect to explore the whole city

Good location next to transport to most places in SF. Easy luggage storage, free coffee, hot and cold water dispenser, microwave and coin operated laundry. Nice designed common areas and spacious rooms. You would expect to pay more for this standard. Amazing place and great staff. Easy to get the train to the airport from Powell Station which is max 2 minutes walk away so its a super good location. You can walk to most places or just get the bus/ tram/ train and of course the famous cable cars from Powell. Would stay again any time.

Anywhere near a station in any big city attracts all members of society but we were there late at night, with luggage etc and never felt unsafe.

very clean, easy check in even without reception staff and we arrived earlier but they had a huge locker rooms for our luggage so we can leave it while going around downtown.

Lots of facilities, free fresh coffee, free drinking water, both hot and cold. There is a laundry room for convenience. And the location is very close to union square and public transportation.

Not have tv in my room.Narrow space.But I’m ok.Everything good.

Perfect affordable accomodation would huffy recommend.

Very close to transport links to everywhere. Great value for money I paid about $150 AUD per night for twin room which is about half what I’d pay in a hotel. Clean spacious warm cosy room with large bathroom. Modern fittings great communal kitchen and laundry.

the bath and sink took a long time to drain but this was minor
