We had a great stay. Everything was as expected.

All was good except these major issues.
1. All beds were ungodly uncomfortable. Easily the worst we've slept in. Not a single 1 of us got any sleep all week.
2. Couch was just as bad. In couch form & pulled out to bed.
3. Hot tub & heated pool were almost unusable due to the amount of kids in them. There should be time limits.
4. Not enough carts to take supplies to room. Each rental should have a cart that stays in the room when not in use.
As it stands I would not return to this resort, definitely not this unit

The TVs were small and super old the tv in the main room couldn't get it to even come on with remote. They expect you to clean even after paying cleaning fee! Have one trash bad for a whole week! It was NOT worth the money spent and will not return or reccomend!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The bedding in the second bedroom was not cleaned from the previous stay. The sheets and blanket were covered in sand. Since there was no laundry soap provided, and I did not feel that it was my responsibility to go out and purchase any, I just ran them in the washing machine anyway. My daughter just slept uncomfortably on the couch. Thus is not the experience that I wanted or paid for. I would say that the mattress in both rooms need to be replaced as they were very uncomfortable. The location was good and was within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The transport service was also a plus. It would gave been nice if there was someone at the front desk when we checked in upon our arrival, but we were able to find someone to help us find our room and provide us with the security codes to gain access to the building. Vrbo failed to provide the site with our check in information and I had to contact them the next morning and it was terribly inconvenient and time consuming. The person at the front desk was less than helpful and seemed put off that I was asking her for help. Some customer service training may be necessary.

Love this place and planning our next visit. Overall great experience. Front desk agents were a little rude when checking in. Everyone else very polite. Room had what appeared to be a blood stain on the floor. I called property mgr and someone was sent immediately to clean. Carpet needs a serious cleaning or replaced and cleaning is certainly lacking. Don't look under the couch,,,,

Great Time
We enjoyed our stay. The location was great and the unit and complex were clean and exactly as described. The pool was amazing and a big hit with our young kids. The splash pad was out of order during our stay which was a disappointment but other than that everything was great and we would definitely visit again.

It was ok
TV in the main room didn’t work, not a huge deal-but still. Bed was comfortable. There were other little issues with the room. Seems like it used to be nice, but it’s just an older property that hasn’t been kept up. It’s ok if you’re never gonna be in the room much or just using it to sleep one off. Overall average or slightly below average

Nice trip to Destin !!
The Palms of Destin was a good place for our family to stay while vacationing in Destin. We enjoyed the pool and close access to the beach.

Room was good/pool not good
After arriving at 4am. The room was great, clean , great view. The pool was full of leave,.the pool and not been clean in least a week. After two day we show the pool guy cleaning which he did not finish. The shuttle was not useful because if you miss the bus you have wait a full hour for the next one. It was easier to drive because there was free parking at all its stops.

Wonderful condo:)
My husband and I stayed here for three days and four nights with our 6 year old daughter. We Vacationed with some other family members staying in the unit next door. The condo was just right; no major issues. Plenty of space, large balcony (sunsets were beautiful), and the A/C worked great once it got going. The wifi worked fine (a big deal for us), it was very clean, water pressure in bathrooms was sufficient, pots/pans were serviceable, but some oven mitts would have been nice. The bed was not very comfortable - a little too firm - and the pillows were awful. You may want to bring your own. We thought having to memorize a room code would be an issue, but we all had it memorized be the end of our first day there, and it was nice not having to worry with a key card. The pool was beautiful and despite a lot of people, never felt crowded. The restaurant onsite was VERY pricey, and nobody from our party was very impressed with the food. Also, we brought our daughter's Xbox but there was no HDMI hookup on any of the three TVs. It was a little disappointing but probably not a dealbreaker, as my husband said as we were checking out: "I think we've found our place." :) bonus tip: you can take a back way to Walmart just by taking a right instead of a left toward Highway 98 when you leave the parking lot of the resort! Just go through the Bealls parking lot and you're there:)

Our first trip to destin
Resort was really nice. Our condo could use some updating. Our key cards didn't work on any of the scanners. The lagoon pool was awesome! Shuttle would have been convient but we chose to drive.
