The location was excellent. You are on the same block as the Duomo. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment, which was spacious. The 2 rooftop terraces were great, especially the one facing the square in front of the Duomo. That was an incredible view and atmosphere. The staff was kind, communicative, helpful with luggage, and helped us coordinate retrieval when we left a cherished item behind. The elevator was helpful, the apartment was private, washing clothes and drying them on the rack worked very well. There was actual closet storage. The bathrooms were spacious. Easy walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores. Enjoyed the fridge and coffee maker. We stayed at 5 different places during our trip. This was our favorite. We thought the value was good, too.
There were a couple air conditioning units that were a little squeaky (like crickets) in the living room and hallway. We couldn’t hear it at night with the bedroom doors closed, though. So, that didn’t affect our sleep. There was a little street noise and music at night and especially on the weekend, as well as occasional sirens. They provide earplugs. There were a few ants in one of the bathrooms. There was difficulty arranging arrival transportation when our train was late. It wasn’t the apartment’s fault, but if they had any capability of ordering a private taxi/Uber as a backup option, it could have been helpful. The taxi line we had to wait in turned a moderate delay into a much more significant one, that led to a missed reservation. Our experience over the duration of the trip was that the trains are often late, so backup options or suggestions could be helpful. But, overall, we were very happy with our stay, would stay here again, and recommend it to others.
