I strongly recommend Ca 'Marta Apartment 2 for your visit to Venice. My wife and I stayed in Ca 'Marta Apartment 2 three evenings in late June. Our criteria for selecting a VRBO in Italy was comfortable beds, clean, and air conditioning. The Ca 'Marta Apartment exceeded our expectations. The apartment was meticulously clean and well appointed. The kitchen was well stocked, including coffee, tea and complimentary bottles of water and juice. The bathroom had everything a guest would need and a shower that offered a welcome relief from the Venice heat. The bed was comfortable. The Ca 'Marta Apartment’s location was ideal. The property's description is accurate: minutes to St. Mark's Square, St. Mark's Basilica, the Palazzo Ducale. There was an excellent selection of restaurants and shops close to the property. Communications with the host, Tomasso, were excellent. He coordinated our arrival and check-in. When we arrived at the Venezia San Lucia train station, he arranged for a water taxi from the station to a drop-off location three minutes from the apartment. Tomasso’s son, Giacomo, met us, helped carry our heavy luggage to the apartment, and provided a tour and instructions for the air conditioning and entry/exit. For our early morning departure, Tomasso again arranged for a water taxi minutes from the apartment to Marco Polo International Airport. Expensive: yes, but worth it for the convenience. Great experience, nice central location- there are alot of steps so if you are packing luggage pack light if possible as there are bridges and steps to the location from the water taxi stop. The host was great and her son helped us get everything up the steps as we had large suitcases and we're on the 2nd floor apartment.

Excellent location in the heart of San Marco, but felt very private with entrance off a private courtyard. Comfortable and the air conditioning was a godsend.
