Everything!! The site was so peaceful and well laid out. Very central with the campsite even sign posted on the way back from our walk. Lots of nice walks nearby. Facilities were all lovely and very clean. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful too. The heated blankets on the beds were a lovely touch and the beds were so cosy and comfy. We can't wait to return.
Nothing.

I took my two kids and we stayed in one of the safari tents. We choose this place since it was easily accessible by public transportation. We took the X10A bus to get there and it drops you off right at the entrance. The beds in the tent were heated which was lush and wonderful for cold autumn nights. My ten year old loved getting cozy and reading her book in bed, and we didn't want to get out of our beds in the mornings. The owner of the campground is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and he learned my name, which made me feel very welcomed. The safari tent has everything you could want for camping, and you just need to bring your clothes, toiletries, and some food. Bedding, towels, stove, kettle, small fridge, lights, etc all provided, plus dishes, cutlery, and stuff for washing up. We had our own fire ring, and a bag of wood and fire starters provided, which was the perfect amount for our two night stay so the kids could roast marshmallows over the fire. There are separate toilets, showers, and dish washing stations. All were very clean when I went. The food truck on Friday morning was delicious for coffee and breakfast rolls and the person working there is also so lovely. We even met Lacey the camp cat. During our stay, we took the bus to go to nearby Aberfoyle, but you can also walk there from the campsite.
Some of the spots are close to each other at the campground. In our case, we were looking directly into a camper van which was close to our porch. However, they were quiet and no bother. The price of the safari tent is steeper than normal camping but it seems fair for the glamping experience, and with a discount through booking.com it put it more within our budget for this trip.

A lovely little campsite with a coffee truck and fairylights strung over the tent plots. Our glamping tent was spacious and had everything we needed to cook dinner (pots, plates, mugs, even dish soap and a cloth!). I was really impressed with the facilities and care in general of the site - loos and showers were plenty, well lit at night with treads on steps to avoid slipping. Fresh water was a bit of a hike but a canister was provided.
Big down side was just the cold. We visted in early autumn, and despite the electric blankets in the beds, were freezing all night. I cannot image what it's like in winter! A space heater, and some thicker duvets would do a world of good.
