About this house rental
Academy Place Larkspur is the south end townhome located in the multiplex building around the Academy Place Courtyard. Academy Place is located just a few short blocks from the central downtown area of Crested Butte, with easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, hikes, grocery stores, entertainment, and more. Larkspur boasts fantastic views of Mt. Crested Butte to the east, and from the private rooftop patio gorgeous views to the south and west as well.
Upon entry, Larkspur has a living/dining space with a large television, counter space for additional seating, and powder room. Opposite the entry, Larkspur boasts a fully equipped kitchen with full sized appliances and cookware, including a large refrigerator, espresso machine, drip coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave, wine fridge, and dual-sided sink. The counter space is ample for your cooking needs, and the kitchen is stocked with cookware such as pots, pans, dishes, large bowls, etc. Upstairs, the primary suite has a large king bed with views of Mt. Crested Butte, a walk-in closet, and an expansive bathroom featuring a soaking tub and a steam shower. One more floor upstairs is the rooftop patio, with a gorgeous view of both East to Mt. Crested Butte and West towards Red Lady. The patio has a private hot tub, grill, and furnishings. The rooftop patio is alongside the patio of Wild Iris, but both are private and have their own hot tubs.
Compared to other Academy Place units, Larkspur is very similar to Marsh Marigold and Wild Iris, with the same layouts. The difference is that Larkspur is the end unit, meaning that it has south facing windows and has only one neighbor with a shared wall. Because it is a townhome unit, it has superb views that the cottages aren’t able to see. The main things to note there are that the cottages do have an additional bathroom and the building is to yourself, while Larkspur and the other townhomes share a larger building and have ideal views. Preferences between the types of units differ by person, and you truly cannot go wrong as all of them are wonderful places to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Larkspur townhome at Academy Place!! Great location downtown with close, walkable access to the grocery store and the downtown shops and restaurants. Beautiful design and construction with rooftop deck and hot tub. The property was clean, well-maintained, and property management team was easily accessible. We will stay here again in the future! We had a wonderful stay at Larkspur in Academy Place. The property is as lovely as the pictures portray. It was clean and pretty much looked and felt brand new both inside and in the beautiful courtyard. The location is great as it is close to anything in town as well as a quick drive up to the base of the mountain and many hiking trails. Communication with management was excellent from beginning to end and they made themselves available for questions anytime. The roof deck has stunning views, and the grill and hot tub were convenient and fun. The only thing I will say is that the house sleeps seven, but the sitting room is a bit small for that size of a group. We had five and there were just enough seats for us. The dining table is right there so there is a place to sit, just not the comfy living chairs. Although the dining table chairs were also surprisingly comfortable. The only other thing I would mention is that you are very close to the intersection where trucks are driving through starting pretty early in the morning so it can get kind of loud. But the convenience of the location can't be beat. We walked right across the street to the concert at the art center and walked to dinner, and coffee many days. There is an espresso machine in the apartment so you can also just make your own coffee, espresso, lattes, etc! I would definitely recommend Larkspur and am guessing that anywhere in Academy Place would be great!

This was a lovely place for the gathering of our family who rented two units. It felt very fresh, clean and up to date in its vibe.The kitchens were well supplied for cooking with little extras provided like a bottle of counter spray to clean the counters, olive oil, salt and pepper, saran wrap, aluminum foil, and baggies. The location was super convenient with its location just a block from a great grocery store as well as one of the free shuttle stops. Also just a few blocks to the main drag with all the shops and restaurants. I would love to stay again.
