We had a meal on our arrival in the evening and the kitchen accommodated our late arrival. Excellent food. Really really tasty. The room was nice with everything we needed. The breakfast the following morning was as tasty as the meal the night before. Great service. Great recommendation from the staff on where to find the seals at the beach. Would come again.
The kids were on a double sofa bed and said it was a little wispy and uncomfortable but they both slept ok.

breakfast was excellent, the room was warm and staff were polite and helpful.
Minor things that didn’t ruin our stay, and in my opinion would be a good thing for the recent new owners to focus on - function of the tv, type/ location of power sockets and some general garden fence (due to children) and decor TLC.

Very good breakfast
Hotel cold and the corridor leading to the room was very cold as was our bedroom. You were advised of our likely arrival time so there was no excuse for the radiator in our room being turned off. Our TV didn’t work and neither did shower light. Surprised that the log fire/stove wasn’t on but when we raised the point with a member of staff, she said she had never seen the fire on! We both ordered oven baked cottage pie but I think it came from a microwave. It was very tasty but would have so much better if the potato top had been baked in the oven. A small point but disappointing, was the unavailability of Black Label.

Breakfast was good and the evening meal was very enjoyable. The staff were excellent and very friendly.
The room was dark and we needed to have the light on all the time. There was no drawers to put clothes in and only one shelf to use.
