We have been to Rome many times, and I have to say this apartment is perfectly located for a family that wants to experience Rome! Steps from Piazza Navona, minutes from the Pantheon or Camp de Fiori, and a short walk to St Peters or Piazza de Spagna you can experience all that Rome has to offer from sites, shopping, and fantastic food. Stefano is an amazing host, very accommodating to US arrival times, super responsive to questions. The apartment is exactly what you would expect from a historic Roman apartment. Plenty of room, all the accommodations you need. I highly recommend this property for your Roman vacation!

We had a wonderful time at this apartment. Central to everything and very secure

Centrally located, this historic building and property jmpresses from the start. The entrance via a spiral stair case may be challenging for some, for us it aas the ascend from todays Rome to a time from yesteryear. The wooden floorboards of the apartment above are somewhat unforgiving when the neighbours have a run around but this should be expected when in an historic building. There was ample space in the apartment and with two bathrooms perfect for the family. We struggled to get the TV remote to work (instructions or demo would have been helpful); however, i take this as a benefit as it reduced the kids desire tk watch Italian TV.

This was a great apartment in a great location in Piazza Navona. Easy check-in process and meeting up to get keys. The apartment is beautiful but the ceilings are low. Not complaining, just the charm of an old building but my husband and son are 6’4 and it included some bending down. Would still choose this apartment! Thank you for a great stay.

This VRBO was a nice eclectic property. It is on a beautiful street in the heart of Piazza Navona.
PROS: The location was perfect for us. We easily walked around to everything we wanted to do. If the tour or restaurant was further away, cabs were readily available. (Usually arriving within 5 minutes). The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well-appointed with the exception of cereal-sized/soup bowls.
CONS: More detailed instructions on how to use the washer/dryer in the unit would have been helpful. The floors need a deep cleaning. The shower in the main hall bath drained quite slowly and the showerhead needs a good decalcification.
Overall I would recommend to friends.

We recently visited Rome for a wedding. We stayed at this fantastic apartment that is in a great location next to Piazza Novona. The apartment had all of our needs for our large family. We loved the history about the apartment and its architecture. Stefano was very attentive to all of our needs. I HIGHLY recommend this apartment if you staying in Rome.

Great location
All in all we had a wonderful time at this rental. Stefano was prompt in returning any questions. The apartment was clean. Only issue from my perspective is the lack of description of the narrow spiral staircase to enter the living space. Anyone with a disability would have a difficult time with that access. The location is terrific, many great restaurants a short walk as are many of the major venues Rome has to offer.

Oasis in heart of Rome
Could not be better location. Quiet street but close to so much. Apartment was comfortable. Spacious living area. Sparse amenities…nice addition would be a capsule coffee machine.

Great Location-like staying in a castle
Great location behind Piazza Navona for restaurants and people watching. Walking distance to all the major sites-closer to Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and Parthenon with a little farther walk (in different directions) to the Colloseum and Vatican. With the circular staircase and wood beam ceilings you feel like you are staying in a castle. Very spacious layout with a living room area, kitchen and several bedrooms. Great communication from the host too.

Excellent location
We really enjoyed Stefano’s historic apartment. It was perfectly situated for all of our adventures. Stefano was very kind and available for any needs. The 300ad beams and door are amazing! And it was pretty quiet for being so close to everything.
We’d recommend this apartment for those wanting to be close to all of the sites in a comfortable setting.

Central Rome Getaway
This property was perfect for our family of five. The location is amazing - behind Piazza Navona. We walked everywhere in Rome - logging about 8-9 miles a day! The apartment was clean, quiet, roomy and we loved having coffee in the morning and breakfast at the apartment. We would stay here again!! Stefano met us upon our arrival and was helpful explaining the apartment to us. Highly recommend this beautiful location!

We spent 2 weeks in Stefano's apartment, and it was perfect for our group of 5 friends. The location was amazing - we could walk to literally everything we wanted to do, and the area is so beautiful. It is a maze of 15th and 16th century buildings, with something to appreciate around every corner, as well as a variety of restaurants and bars. The Piazza Navonna at night is not to be missed, as well as the Pantheon first thing in the morning before the crowds arrive.
The kitchen is small but well-equipped, but who wants to cook in Rome, with so many delicious options available at your doorstep?!
All of us recommend this apartment very highly and would definitely book it again on a return trip to Rome, if we are ever so lucky!

We stayed in Stefano's apartment for three nights in September 2018. It is located in a fun and busy area but so quiet at night! Walk out the door and you're in the middle of a bunch of really great restaurants, and a few steps over to the Piazza where many tourists congregate. We were told that the restaurants just outside the Piazza were better, but we still had fun people watching! You do need to be aware of your belongings and be ready to be approached to buy things, but we just said no thanks and it wasn't a problem. We loved the character of the building with it's original spiral staircase and enormous castle doors leading in to the courtyard. Rooms were plenty big and the two bathrooms were immaculate. A/C was working quite well which was great as it was extremely hot outside! Stefano was gracious and welcoming and stayed just long enough to get us acclimated and show us around the apartment and how to use the tv (amazon fire) etc. He also arranged a transfer for us from the airport. In addition to the nearby shops and restaurants, were able to walk to attractions like the Spanish Steps and Pantheon easily. You'll save a fortune in cab fare! I recommend this apartment for a group-we had five adults but could have fit another one if necessary. Grazie Stefano!

Excellant
Our HomeAway stay in Roma was above our expectations. We were 3 couples meeting each other for a 5 day stay. Stefano was very accomodating by meeting the first couple a few hours ahead of schedule. He communicated clearly and quickly when contacted. The apartment is ideally located. Main attraction sites are within walking distance. The apartment was clean and well equipped with linens and kitchen ware. We would highly recommend this stay to everyone planning a Roma stay!

Outstanding apartment in the heart of Rome's Historic District
This apartment was exactly as described in its description. It was clean, in a perfect location, and the owner, Stefano, was excellent to work with. The apartment also has air conditioning which is so important in the hot months of July and August. Stefano also assisted us in finding private transportation to and from the airport. Our family would definitely rent this apartment again should we travel to Rome.

Heart of Rome
Unbelievable location just off Piazza Navona. Walking distance to everything. We could walk right out into the hustle and bustle and then retreat into the apt.behind large gated doors.
Apt well kept and comfortable with good AC and laundry!
TV with Netflix.
Stefano greeted us and oriented us and helped secure transport to airport at end of our stay .
There was a nice welcome basket with snacks that my kids devoured and coffee for me.
Would definatly stay again.

Incredibly Great Location - Walk Everywhere
Great location for dining locally, spending time in nearby piazzas, or walking almost anywhere in central Rome or the Vatican side of the Tiber.
The unit has all the amenities, is well laid out and clean. Because of its age the living room ceiling beams can seem a bit low for those 6' 2" and over, but it's not a huge issue.
We are a family of six and would definitely rent it again.

Stefano was wonderful - very organized , charming and helpful. Our stay could not have been better and our family is talking about another visit to the same property because it was so enjoyable. Can not recommend it enough.

Perfect Apartment in Central Rome
My husband and two daughters, ages 11 and 13, just spent the week in Stefano’s wonderful apartment in Rome. The apartment was perfect! Absolutely all of the major sites of the city are in walking distance. We didn’t need to get in a moving vehicle all week. The neighborhood has tons and tons of great restaurants and shops. Best of all, after a day of walking many miles to explore the city it was so nice to know that we had a comfortable home away from home where each family member had enough personal space to escape to and relax. I highly recommend Stefano’s apartment and have already given his information to a friend that is planning a trip to Rome next year.

Wonderful apartment in the middle of the action
We chose to stay here for the location—just steps to Piazza Navona, and a few more steps to Campo d’Fiori and the Pantheon. It didn’t disappoint. The apartment, in a building dating back to the 13th century, is comfortable, convenient, and is bursting at the seams with charm. We walked virtually everywhere but for the couple times we needed a taxi, the stand was just across the piazza. (We also used the myTaxi app—a huge help when we weren’t close to a stand.) Yes, it is right in the heart of the tourist area, so you have to search a bit for better food, but there’s plenty to be had within a short walk (use TripAdvisor)—we loved Arancio d’Oro, Ditirambo, and Il Desiderio Preso per la Coda. The only knock is that if the people upstairs are active, you’ll hear it. Still, it was a minor inconvenience. Stefano was great, helping us book a taxi from the airport and stocking the kitchen with some essentials (I hadn’t experienced that before and it was incredibly helpful). It was a wonderful experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it if you’re looking for a vacation in the middle of the action.

A gorgeous spacious apartment near Piazza Navona
A gorgeous apartment with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Lots of light through the large windows into a central courtyard. Very close to all the shops. I highly recommend this apartment. Easily sleeps six people very comfortably.
