The breakfast were just two eggs per person to pick up from the chicken who ran outside the house. Unfortunatelly this is not a breakfast which is enough for me, so we went out for breakfast in the morning. I would not offer a breakfast like this!
The location was a mess, lots of stuff and rubbish outside the house and it looks like a dump!

There was a guy that was really nice that he’s staying there as a volunteer. He tried to help us.
The owner was totally unfair, we booked the place long time ago (5/6 months ago) and they send us an email to pay with Cashapp, we tried to pay them but they didn’t accept the payment! We tried to contact them but they never replied us. I contacted booking and they help me to confirm my reservation but when we arrived at the property the owner told us that someone else already paid for our beds (it wasn’t true because we noticed that nobody slept in our beds at the end)! It was also too late (coachella period) to find another place (sold out or too expensive) and they told us that with that money it was fine sleep in the car as a car renting place, so we decided to do it because we didn’t have another option. The last day, the owner stop me before to go inside the house to use the restroom and they asked us more money because they invented that the reservation was only for 1 night! Even with the proof of our reservation they started to become aggressive to us and without respecting us kept trying asking more money! I contacted booking in front of them, probably they were scared about it, so finally they left us go/leave!

Cheap, staff were kind and helpful
Some people staying there were snoring very loudly and it was hard to get sleep due to that. The following night I wore ear plugs and I was fine.

Good value. The chickens and cats were a nice addition, especially the eggs for breakfast. I went on a run from this location and felt very safe. The staff was nice, but beds were not super comfortable and the "walls" between each room don't keep out any sound--would definitely recommend bringing earplugs.

I didn't I left 30 min after getting into the place
It was dirty. Had alot of issues with seeing people spun out on some drug and it was not as described and they don't give refunds so I paid for nothing. I ran away fast and got out of there fast. They told me my code to my room in earshot of half the guests because it is all in one house which I'm sure isn't legal. Unsanitary.

It looked a bit sketchy, not like your average traveller's hostel, but the people were very nice and I had a good time there! I liked the garden with the chickens and the kitten was adorable as well. The location was good for hiking in Joshua Tree National Park!
It is pretty noisy at night because the rooms/dorms are not really 'separate', so definitely bring earplugs and a sleeping mask (which are essentials for every hostel anyways). However, I think the price is a bit too expensive for the quality of the hostel.

The garden. Chickens. Rooster. Liked the people we met staying there.
Bed was uncomfortable, not enough fridge spaceto put everyone's food in. Kitchen needed a deep cleaning.

I love staying there..it's a simple but very welcoming place, you will feel deeply connected with the desert.

Gary was very nice but they will nickel and dime you for sure!It was clean and cheap so you get what you pay for and not much else. They had a kitty that was adorable and chickens that were so cute! Probably my favorite part of the place for sure;) I was in desperate need a place to sleep that night for an affordable price and that’s exactly what you get.
Loud construction and the older gentleman made me pay an extra $5 for using Venmo when they told me it wouldn’t be an extra charge and made a thing out of it so it was just a weird interaction as I was checking out:(

Cat was cute! And she was speaking to us. Rosters were nice too!
OMG. We booked van for one night but stooned guy told us that somebody already sleep in it. He showed us some other dirty small rooms and then we drove away. DO NOT BOOK.
