The rooms were excellent, very high quality, massive bathroom.

Breakfast is superb and perfectly prepared. Probably the best quality food in the area. The dinners were equally superb and reasonably priced. The Chefs here deserve credit for their consistency and quality, in fact, all the staff are brilliant!
At 15 degrees our room could have been a little warmer for the weather at the time of our visit, the heating control appeared not to be working in the room. The hotel's administration system appears to be a little shambolic, we received various conflicting email messages from the computer system in use after booking the hotel and also a table at the restaurant for 2 nights. We were able to clarify the situation by contacting reception direct. I think the problem is caused by an agency that manages the interface with the customers.

I mentioned it would have been to get fruit & porridge at breakfast.

Room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, also had dinner on the Saturday evening which was very good.
Nothing to complain about.

Breakfast was delicious. Nicely presented, beautifully cooked and generous. Spacious conservatory location.
We felt there could have been better instruction manuals in the room. The coffee maker instructions were for a different make than the one provided and it was not easy to operate if you have never used one. Also there was no welcome pack in the room with descriptions of facilities provided or nearby shops. We were told breakfast times and wi-fi access on arrival. However, the room was in a lovely location and beautifully presented. We would recommend it.

Perfect stay the breakfasts were exceptional & the room and bed felt very luxurious. Interior design is very tasteful & I would definitely come back. Very pretty location & staff are friendly and very accommodating
I had a steak & mash potatoes for dinner and I was so looking forward to it after having the breakfast, I have to say it wasn't as good as I was expecting after having the breakfasts but still wouldn't put me off dining in the restaurant again.

Everything was perfect. Mitchell is a very small village located half way between St Austell and Perranporth and close to Newquay. Ideal if you want to take day trips and return to a quiet and beautiful setting in the evening.
The room and en-suite were spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. The building is surrounded by lovely gardens and the property is well kept. It is quiet so you can be assured of a restful sleep.
The staff couldn't be more welcoming and attentive. From the moment we checked in we were greeted with smiles and everyone was so polite.
We had dinner in the consevatory one evening; the food was delicious and well presented. It can get busy so you should book a table; service was quick. Breakfast was served in the pub area and there were many choices for cooked breakfasts; perhaps a buffet should be made available for cereals, juice, fruit, etc.
Overall it was a great place and we couldn't recommend it enough.
The mattress was a little too firm for us but everything else was perfect.

Excellent quality food cooked to perfection but choice was limited. No cereal or yoghurts only Granoa. The staff were brilliant and made our stay really special. No problem was too small.will certainly be staying here again.

Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, as a solo traveler on this occasion I felt very comfortable and welcome. I was visiting for a funeral, and the wake was at the Plume, so made sense to stay there. A lovely Country Inn feel, but at the same time the rooms were modern; simple but a sense of luxury!
A thanks to the staff - I was departing very early for a flight so unfortunately missed breakfast and regular hours check out, and an opportunity to say thanks.
Nothing!
