The Bear & Swan

Stayed in this lovely hotel in Chew Magna. Not the first time either

We love staying here before our holiday trips. It’s spotless the food is lovely and the staff are friendly

Lovely old building with lots of history. Warm and inviting space and good location

Staff were excellent and helpful. Room comfy and surprisingly quiet considering it's on the high street

Parking can be a problem at times, there's a free car park behind the pub but that was full when we arrived. Our biggest disappointment was the fact the Bear & Swan had an organised event the day we stayed so there was no pub food just burgers all day. We booked the pub because the evening menu looked really good. We did have a burger at dinner tine but went elsewhere in the evening. If we had known about this event we would probably have stopped elsewhere. Communication about this event would have been good as we only found out one day before when trying to book the restaurant

Great location

Toilet systen did not work. Shower cold. Quite noisy road all night traffic.
