Ruby Lucy Hotel London by IHG

London hotel rooms tend to run smaller than anywhere else, and so I was shocked at how much room there was to walk around within the room. The bed was super comfortable. The glass design for the shower/bathroom was a smart way to make the room feel larger. The lobby/lounge was super comfortable. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.

I wish there were a fridge to help keep beverages cool, or at least an ice machine! The vending machine was always out of everything when I went to go to check. That all said, these are relatively small gripes.

The staff in general were good. They just seamed to be hampered by management not being there. I liked the free access teas and coffees on the landing.

To say that there is a restaurant on site is pushing the reality a bit. They have a very small fixed menu, which I suspect was based on frozen ready meals. They were missing ingredients for various cocktails, basic stuff. The breakfast was really not to my liking, if you like a small selection alternative types of breakfast, this is for you, wasn't for me. Not being able to get an invoice printed on site, even after I paid, was a stress. All business trips and expenses in my company have to be supported by correct invoicing, but being emailed one at 12 o'clock the following day after check-out was not appreciated, as at that time I was already in a different country. In my opinion, this isn't a 4 star property, but a very good 3 star. Feels like it's trying to be a Citizen M, but noth really there.
