I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews of this property and the defensive rebuttals of the host. I agree with the other negative lengthy detailed reviews and disagree with the very brief one line positive comments. Here is an abbreviated list of the issues I experienced 1) After reading remarks that heater was not working iI asked the host through multiple emails and the VRBO chat if it had been repaired. My questions went unanswered. 2)Digital key access - "problem on our end please try again later" no response to those inquiries of access til hours B4. 3)property within 17 mile drive boundary and host did not put my name on guest list. Payment to get past gate 4) despite arriving on time at 8pm the house was dark, no lights. many obstacles and tripping points 5) Personal effects in all rooms and closets, heavy smell of incense from the shrine in the guest area, dirty dust encrusted fake flowers, cobwebs in the corners, dirty kitchen utensils that require washing before using. 6) no heat, TV did not work, BBQ is unusable, one roll of toilet paper between 2 bathrooms. Host shares the kitchen and can enter guest area through multiple doors. Feels like the movie Parasite with someone else just on the other side of the door 7) advertised sleeps 8 and we showed up with 4 and my original reservation was 3. My 4th decided to stay with another friend in town for the same event when his allergies flared from air in guest area. Extra charge for plus one

Property was spacious and well located. Host friendly But heating was broken and so extremely cold (6 degrees inside!) Owners said it broke down 3 months ago. This had a v negative impact on our visit. No blinds or curtains on any windows so no privacy in bedrooms

This was not particularly a good experience for us. We have rented VRBO‘s for many years in the past in the pad amazing experiences. This one started off with a great location. However, the accommodations were not up to par biggest disappointment is that we did not have the whole house has VRBO promote the owners of the house were there and actually I was using the bathroom about three or four in the morning and came out and the two owners were in the kitchen while I was finishing showering, which was very uncomfortable. The house was not really staged properly for a rental a lot of personal items, all over the house and in the closets, personal bath towels in the bathroom just a very odd experience.

The host failed to provide house access code until I called him a few hours after check out time. One of the beds was dirty and unchanged upon arrival— then the creepy thing was that there were new makeup (mascara and foundation) stains on the pillowcase the second night that hadn’t been there the night before— and no one in the room uses makeup. The owner lives IN the house, it’s not a separate duplex, you’re in the same house together, so we have real suspicions about privacy and personal space. Much of the house is in run down quality, rusty showers and drains, stains on the floor, leaking toilet etc. Then there was one fridge available for us to use, but shared with the owner, who had it so full that we couldn’t add 3 bags of groceries for our 6 guests. Bad and creepy enough that we informed the host that it didn’t meet acceptable standards and we moved to hotel rooms for the remainder of our stay. The house is a poor layout, and other family rented a MUCH better house in the area for the same price.

Good landlord. Place is as advertised.

Host owner was very accommodating. . Very comfortable inside and outside. Would recommend to anyone.
