Rydges South Bank Brisbane

The decor and location was perfect.

Auto check in gave us a room on the first floor but the front desk was great and moved us to a higher floor

Bed was comfy, location great, and very nice rooms with modern styling. Great position for going to QPAC or visiting South Bank. Pool deck was very nice for a swim & a coffee.

Great location to access Southbank and the arts/entertainment hub. Convenient parking alternatives within easy walking distance. Great size rooms and internal amenities. Friendly waitstaff and cocktails by the pool.

To nick pick only; small en-suite faucet tricky for larger hands to get water, shower head facing upright and outward so when turned on first time saturated myself with cold water, hanging towels, the floor and door (silly me), rough loo paper and no blankets/comforters, which could just add a little more comfort to relaxing in the room. Otherwise impeccable Rydges style as always.

Staff were helpful and the room was ready early which was great. We really appreciated that.

On the Thursday night there was some sort of function in the hotel. We were staying on the First Floor and at 8.50 when we turned the TV off to go to bed (we had a 6 am flight out the next day) it became evident that we must have been right above the function room. For the next 2 hours all we heard was the base of the music being played. I would, out of courtesy, not put anyone on level 1 if you are having that sort of function as they will not be impressed. THis really ruined my impression of our whole stay and I don't know that we would stay again.
