About this cabin rental
Fully furnished vacation cottage, located on the lower Wisconsin Riverway. UNWIND by taking a short walk down our path to our private Wisconsin River shoreline. RELAX, have a seat and feel the calm of the river flowing while you enjoy a fire in the pit and take in the sunset. Pause by the pond fed by an artesian spring trickling over the rock ledges. Think deeply as you walk the labyrinth. Identify the species of birds in the sanctuary or catch a glimpse of eagles, white pelicans, geese, turtles, deer and much more. ENJOY the creation around you.
Originally, this cottage was an Army officer's barracks at Truax Field, Madison, WI during WWII. It was moved to this Wisconsin River location in the 1970s. A family lived here until it was renovated in 2006 as a vacation rental.

This is a perfect getaway place for two, or a small family. Very comfortable and quiet. Travis is great and accommodating, such as when we had to check out late due to a late tour we took.

The Wisconsin River was located a short walk behind this property and it was beautiful to see. There was a mowed path to the river that was shared with a neighboring rental property. The beds were very comfortable and the house had everything that we needed. The air conditioning was nice to have on during our stay. I would recommend bringing bug spray if you plan on walking to the river. Thanks Travis!

Nice place, well stocked with kitchen and cooking stuff, everything you need in the bathroom, and comfy beds and pillows. Location is great, nearby shopping and restaurants and right on the river for fishing. Highly recommend!
