Not too far from JR Otaru station, less than 10 minutes walk. First time visit, need patience to find it if you also have a big luggage.
Room 201 single room is at the level 2 entrance, you will hear the security door opens and closes. There are also traffic lights in front of Otaru DoYa, you will hear the green-man sound every time, did not bother me, but if you’re a sensitive light sleeper, consider this.
Otaru YaDo front desk asked for ¥ 300 cash for taxes at Check-in, which Booking.com later confirmed that there is no more additional payment required.

Not too far from station. Modern. Reasonably clean.
No wifi on the 2nd floor accom. From reviews, (Mun, Canada) it has been non existent for a while. Guy a the desk said “sorry it’s broken” sounds like there’s no plans to fix it. So the quiet few days in my room didn’t go the way I planned. The staff weren’t visible unless you rang the bell. And the desk was only manned from 12pm to 8pm. No staff in the building overnight. I will look for another option next time I’m in Otaru.

The Location is good, close to the Main train station.
There were an elderly lady has alway been watching guests at the common area and kitchen area, wasn't sure she is the hotel owner or she is an employee. when you use the kitchen she follows you and watches you, make my trip so much pressure. and she supervises when customers using their kitchen and tables. it made my trip really uncomfortable. Their beds are extremely rock hard, feeling like sleeping on the floor. it looks like they didn't have a cleaner, their toilets floor has been so sticky like urine on for long time, during the few days I have stayed, it's never been cleaned.
