About this house rental
Situated in Westport, this lovely house for $109 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Westport WA is a great place for fishing, crabbing, clam digging, kite flying and sight seeing, so it is perfect for a family / group to take a vacation here. The home is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house with 1878 sf in a very quiet residential area, just several blocks from the Pacific Ocean and near one of highest lighthouses in Washington, by staying here you can really relax in privacy. A space with desk & chair is also for remote working people. The house was just remolded with new paint, new carpet, new floor tile etc. This is a large house, our guests are able to access all rooms in the house. They will enjoy the large house space, and get more relax. Master bedroom comes with a bathroom and a walk-in closet. There also is a special room for your dog(s), hopefully they will like it. We have some fishing, crabbing gears and bikes in the house, they are all free for you to use, but to use them by yourself and/or your family or group member(s) including your child/children you agree to take all responsibilities for damages and injuries. The temperature here may be 15-25 degrees lower than your home area, you will really enjoy the weather here during the hot summer, but please bring some thick clothing with you. Please keep doors closed in the evening and night, otherwise mosquitoes may bother you. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and near beach, you may hear the wave sound. A group of charter crews just live in the next door, people come to here for fishing may need their service. There is a trail along the beach to Marina, you can walk or bike on for morning / evening exercise. Westport is not a large city, you may go to any place such as marina, beach, restaurants and supermarket with just several minutes drive or walking distance.

We enjoyed being able to spread out in this house and enjoy going back and forth to the beach, eat some ice cream on the pier and do a little sight seeing. The house is comfortable and has just enough amenities for a traveler. A few more kitchen towels or dishrags would have been helpful, but not a serious complaint at all! We appreciated all the extra kid friendly items and I think it's a great idea to have a space for a dog locked off from the rest of the house. We don't travel with our pets, but some people do. Thanks for a great place to unwind from our busy farm life. This was the kids' first time seeing the ocean and they were mesmerized!

Everyone was impressed with the cleanliness of property and the size of the house and number of beds was perfect for our group of 5 older women (aged 60 to 77, one of us used blow-up mattress we brought). We hosted other friends for a party one day and easily entertained 11 people. Generous sized bedrooms and bathrooms with nice clean linens and towels. We used the pet area to store our coolers and other gear. Nice patio area and private back yard, no neighbors super close. The only negatives were insufficient lighting in some rooms (single lamp in family room and living room) and the space heaters/baseboard heater/wall heater set-up was definitely dated and took a little figuring out. No air conditioning - might be a problem in hotter months since there are no screens on entry doors, only windows.

3rd WHAT THE HECK I CAN HAVE CHILDREN THERE THAT SPELL THINGS, WHICH THEY DID, BUT THERE WAS NTOHING TO CLEAN IT UP WITH , TO WASH CLOTHES, NO PAPER TOWELS, NO STRUB BRUSH TP WASH THE DISHES , THE VACUUM WAS FULL. THERE WAS A SOMEHTING IN THE BATHROOM THAT WAS FULL, THE BATHROOM SINK WAS CLUGGED.
WHY WOOULD YOU WANT ME TO LOCK MY SERVICE DOGS UP IN A MUD ROOM ALL WEEKENED .....NOT EVEN TO HAVE A FULLY FENCER YARD

The property we rented is set up for rental, but still had many comforts of home. Separate spaces for kids and pets so everyone had a place to do their thing. During our stay we needed the leaf for the table, which was in storage. The owner made arrangements right away to get it to us. We had a great time and will likely rent this spot again.

There were spiders everywhere, the outlets in the house wouldn’t even hold plugs in the they were so loose they kept falling out. If you plugged in the heater then the lights wouldn’t work. None of the TV’s were working. The tire swing was broken. We wouldn’t stay again the kids couldn’t watch tv or use their devices, it was cold with only portable wall heaters.

Overall the place was great in a good location central to Westport and we would stay there again. Only one negative comment, the upstairs shower did not have a tub mat or anti slip tape. A couple of the people that took showers said it was very slippery and had to be extra careful not to slip /fall in the shower. There was a lot of extra's stored in the house for guests to use that were very nice. One suggestion would be to also have a couple of electric fans available. It was pretty hot when we stayed. and some of the screens had holes in them so some windows could not be opened to keep mosquitoes out.

Had plenty of room we only used 2 bedroom. The only thing is I would have traded TV rooms it was much comfortable with the two couches to watch TV put the kids in the smaller room. Other than that it was great!!!

We stayed 3 nights during the Washington Tuna Classic tournament and enjoyed the house. The house well suited our needs. Close to the marina and the beach in a quiet neighborhood. Everything was there that we needed.

Adequate -Not Exceptional
On first sight, skeptical of unit with trash cans in front yard (no others on the street at the time), yard full of weeds (and not cut), and storm door blocked wide open with a cinder block. Upon opening the front door we were greeted with a very strong fish smell (hope last occupant enjoyed the meal). Once the windows were opened the smell was whisked away (thank goodness). The residence was mostly clean and adequately described. One interesting feature we discovered is most light switches didn't actually operate lights. It was old-style operation of lamps. Location was great. Nice and quite in the evenings. We were visiting family in Grayland so we've been to the area off and on since the 90's. This place was acceptable, not exceptional.

Worth it
We arrived early, contacted the owner and was informed the cleaner has not finished yet. That was totally understandable since was not the owners fault we were hours early. The property does need attention to the lawn as the weeds are getting pretty tall. The home itself on the outside could use some attention as well. Porch light almost falling off, and paint flaking. Once in the house it was very spacious and well equipped. We were supposed to have 6 of staying but ended up being only 4. Would stay here again, just needs a little attention to details.

The Place was very accommodating. TV in family Room is DVD only. The Living Room furniture needs to be replaced (in my opinion), Wonderful Location and the price was Right!

A nice beach cottage just what we were looking for. It could have been so much more enjoyable if the heat had been turned on before we got there. It was uncomfortably cold for the whole 1st evening.

Had a nice stay at this property with family. Host was very quick to respond to all my questions and even arranged to have a toddler bed set up for us to use. Minor inconveniences included one stove burner not working and the heater fan was very loud. Other than that everything was good. Thanks!
