About this house rental
Nestled in Holmes Beach, this lovely house for $725 per night is a great option for your next break. We are excited to announce some upgrades to this very popular vacation home. The house has been painted throughout in December 2023, all TV's upgraded to Smart TV's and refurbishment of the deck. Waves Edge North is a lovely 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home situated on one of the most beautiful beaches imaginable; nestled among the sea oats leading out onto the white sand beaches and crystal clear waters this area is so famous for. As you cross the bridges and gaze at the glittering turquoise water fringed by swaying palms you will quickly realize that you have stepped back into old Florida – a slice of paradise that transports you back to a time when the pace of life was slower, gentler and more carefree. Just a stone’s throw from restaurants and shopping and very close to stops for the free Island Trolley which runs the length of the island seven days a week from 6am to 10pm, this may be the best location on the island! Waves Edge North with its vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows brings the outside in and gives you sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy the cozy and comfortable living area with flat screen Smart TV, Cable, DVR and DVD player. Meals are easy to prepare in the fully equipped open plan kitchen or you can step out into the fresh ocean breezes on the spacious deck where you can cook out on the gas grill while enjoying the beautiful views. Waves Edge North will comfortably sleep 6. The master bedroom has a king bed, Smart TV and en suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The two guest bedrooms have queen beds, Smart TV's and share a bathroom with a combination bathtub/shower. There is a really cool sleeping loft with two twin beds – ideal for older children or teenagers. From the outside deck, steps lead down to a beautiful heated swimming pool with plenty of loungers for you to relax. To swim in the pool or walk across the sugar sand to the ocean – that may just be the most difficult decision you have to make each day! As a courtesy to our guests we heat the pool during the months of December to April. There will be days when the weather conditions will not allow pool heaters to accommodate swimming and temperature recovery times will vary. While the pool is heated during the winter months, we do occasionally get cold spells that can send the temperatures down into 60's and 50's. This will cause the pool water temperature to drop and the pool pump will no longer be able to heat the pool, and it automatically shut down temporarily as a safety feature. The pool and laundry facilities are shared with our sister home, Waves Edge South, which accommodates 6 people. For a large family gathering, why not rent both homes? We have off road parking for 4 vehicles. Please note the total number of guests permitted at Waves Edge North is 6 which includes children.. When requesting to book please be sure to provide the number of adults and kids who will be staying. Regretfully no children under the age of 3. Holmes Beach have a minimum 7 night rental requirement. Check in time is 4pm and checkout time is 10am. It is very unlikely that we will be able to accommodate either an early check in or a late check out so please plan accordingly. With many thanks. The property was lovely! Heated pool, walk out to the beach, quiet, well stocked kitchen. Host was very nice, champagne, welcome card and cake in the refrigerator on arrival. However the deck is way over due for replacement, boards warped, alot of rot and termite damage. That's the only negative I have on the property.

Property itself is very pretty and the location is perfect. On our last stay we spent a lot of time in the pool. It was too cold this time, although you pay more for a pool..just couldn't use it.

We love Waves Edge North and Anna Maria Island. This is our second time staying at this property, and when we arrived, it felt like coming home. It is the perfect set-up for a family and the accessibility to the beach is unbelievable. I highly recommend staying here when visiting AMI!

The location of this beach place was absolutely perfect. It was a cute, clean, beach place right on the beach. The pool was nice too! The owner was so friendly and communicated with us. She even left a welcome present, as well as spices and condiments for us upon our arrival. It was also well stocked for cooking. We will definitely look to stay here again.

We enjoyed the convenience of the location and nearness to the beach. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen and bathrooms. There are a few safety issues … splinters from the decking, uneven step/trip hazard on steps down from porch to pool, no handrail to assist getting in to pool.
The nice touches like the orchid, wine and fancy cake were appreciated but save that money and put it toward new toilet plumbing and balancing the AC system.
Our granddaughter learned to swim in your perfectly sized clean and pretty pool.

Right on the beach with an easy walk through the finest white sand imaginable. The view was incredible. Sunrise was cool but the sunset, epic.
Close to the trolly line, grocery store, Walgreens and (beach walking) distance to two bar/restaurants North and South. This part of the beach was never crowded and we always had room to spread out without someone right on top of us.
The grill allowed us to cook some meals at the property and there were plenty of dishes and cookware to accommodate. This does have a full kitchen and all appliances. It also had a washer and dryer that came in handy.
The pool was very nice and warmer than the mid-March Gulf.
We had very friendly neighbors while we were there and there were never any issues with any of the facilities or pool use.
The deck is in need of some TLC, and would recommend not walking barefoot. That's the only negative, truly.

This was thee perfect spot. Quiet, beautiful setting, beach is perfect, sunsets are gorgeous, pool is very clean. The house is clean, very comfortable furniture close to everything you would want or need. Communication with management was great and the cake and champagne that was left in our fridge was delicious!! So inviting. Just really can’t say enough good about this place. I really want to take my husband soon.

We loved our stay on Anna Maria Island. The house was just as it was pictured and it was lovely to just walk out onto the beach. Nicky was very easy to communicate with and we had no issues at all!

Nice stay in beautiful Holmes Beach. Perfect location, nice amenities in the home. Would be fun to go with another family and rent both sides. Didn’t bother us to share the pool, it was never an issue. Nicky left us the most delicious cake as a welcome gift. Our daughter cried when we had to go home. That’s a sign of a good trip!

This vacation home was absolutely amazing. It was so clean and the furniture and decor made us feel at home. The view of the beach is indescribable. My mother, sisters and I had such an amazing vacation together and this home made it even better!

The house was perfect for our family. The pool was clean and warm. The house was spotless when we arrived. The owners had a stocked supply of spices and condiments available to us upon our arrival along with a wonderful surprise in the fridge for us. The beds were comfortable and plenty of closet space for clothes and storing luggage. The couches and chairs were also comfortable. I liked that there was no carpet to have to vacuum sand, only hardwood floors. The kitchen table is large enough for 6-8 people if you use the additional bench located under the table and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cookware, and plates. My only suggestion would be to add a few smaller throw blankets in case in the evening you get chilly. But other than that, the property was wonderful and enjoyable. Grocery shopping and beach essentials shopping is 2 blocks away and within walking distance. Perfect location to the island. Although we had an ant issue to start, the owners promptly had an exterminator come out and spray the exterior and interior of the home. Even with the ant issue we would definitely rent again. Nicky was very quick to answer questions/concerns and was a great host.

Amazing location and view
I have been renting in Holmes Beach from the mid 1980's, and Waves Edge North has the best location and view of the beach. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The VRBO host, Nicky, was very informative and helpful. For future renters, however, please be aware of the following: leave all food either in fridge or oven to keep away from mice; the hot/cold faucet in the guest shower is plumbed backwards; the coffee maker is broken, the ice maker is broken, and the guest toilet sometimes doesn't flush.
We have never experienced any of these issues in our other rentals, but again, the location is superb!

Being able to stay at an ocean front property was a dream come true for our family—the views both inside and out were breathtaking. Our kids were able to come and go as they pleased and spent the days running between the beach and the pool. Most nights we cooked at the house or got food to go, because we all just wanted to eat outside on the beautiful deck. The location right in the middle of the island and walking distance to the grocery store made for a stress-free week! Nikki was a joy to communicate and plan with and was also very helpful—she has thought of everything to make your stay as easy-breezy as possible! Thank you for the memories!!

We stayed with our three year old twins. Property is right in the beach so it is easy to go back for food and bathroom. Kids loved the pool and all the toys. It was very clean and Nicky is very responsive. Sunsets are beautiful! Can’t wait to come back!

Best week imaginable!
We can't say enough about this property and our stay at Waves Edge North. Check-in was seamless, and Nicky was always very responsive - both leading up to our stay as well as during it. The rooms were bright and clean, and the house had everything we could have possibly needed. Our three young girls also had all the beach and pool toys they could have possibly needed. The beach was beautiful and just steps away, and it was wonderful to have the pool as an alternative option when the waves were tough. We will DEFINITELY be back again - we are already trying to plan! This was the perfect place for us on our first trip to Anna Maria Island.
