It was very good but the bathroom could be a bit bigger that was very tiny. We appreciated the grill and the kayaks. Our grandkids really enjoyed them.
It was very peaceful and relaxing.

Thank you for having us! We loved your property and the use of the fire pit and kayaks. It was a perfect little getaway for my 30th!

My friends and I stayed for a bday week away. Everything was close to get to, we had an amazing day at the island, spent an evening in downtown, and had so much rest and relaxation reading down by the lake.
Only 1 tiny annoying thing, anytime we tried to use more that 1 stove burner or oven, smoke detector went off, with no smoke in the cottage.
otherwise an amazing week away.

Perfect location and size for the two of us. Might want to consider a fire pit for each place. The people next to us dominated the one fire pit the entire time

Everything was perfect except for the huge carpenter ants that were relentless. We had to put our dry goods in the fridge- nothing could be left on the counter or table. They were in the bathroom as well. Otherwise, the location was good, the cottage was clean and we loved the lake, kayaks, fire pit, etc.

We had a great time at your cabin! We stayed with my daughter and partners parents and had so much fun playing board games in this cozy cabin. My daughter especially enjoyed practicing her gymnastics in the large, clean yard with soft grass. We used the BBQ and ate out on the deck enjoying the quietness and beautiful view of the lake. The kayaks were a bonus to cruise around the lake as well. We were not far from the ferry to visit mackinac island. Everything was perfect. Thank you

Everything was perfect except for the huge carpenter ants everywhere. We had to keep everything in the fridge because ants were all over in the kitchen and bathroom.

Perfect family vacation spot!
The best little slice of lake life heaven! The cabin is super cute and the yard and fire pit area was perfect for our four children.
We grilled outside and make pancake breakfast inside.
They had row boats and kayaks everything you could want for paradise lake!
Highly recommended!

We enjoyed the beautiful yard, adirondack chairs, firepit and kayaks. Unfortunately, the cabin was extremely dark, extremely small especially the bathroom and the cabin was very damp and uncomfortable. We expected a lot more from the cabin at the price we were charged.

This is a really cozy cabin with an "up North" feel. The bedrooms are a fair size, but the beds are of the typical saggy spring variety. We slept great (probably because of the quiet and dark) but if you have back problems the beds will not help. The kitchen and bathroom are tiny. The shower just has faucet handles for the hot and cold, so I'm not sure if there is any anti-scald protection. If you plan to cook anything in the kitchen, make sure all of the windows are open. I baked a potato in the oven and it set off the fire alarms! As others have mentioned, the area by the lake is shared between the two cabins. The other cabin is larger, so you may find yourself in the company of a larger party. When we were there the other cabin was occupied by a couple, two children, and two grandparents. We did not have any conflicts with them, but it's something to consider if you're anti-social, or are concerned about possibly anti-social neighbors. I took out one of the kayaks, but found that the wind was pushing me around the lake. At 70, I found it not worth the hassle to fight the wind. Despite all of the caveats above, we had a very relaxing few days by the lake. If you want to explore the area, the cabin is closevery convenient to Mackinac Island, Mackinaw City, Cheboygan, St. Ignace, and Headlands International Dark Sky Park. The Harbor Lights Grill is just a couple of miles down Paradise Lake Rd, and serves an excellent whitefish dinner.

Nice, central location. Close to Mackinaw City and a short drive to Petoskey. We enjoyed the kayaks and the fire pit after each day of adventuring.

The property was as described. Very clean and well stocked with normal essentials. Nice view, quiet and relaxing. The hosts were very responsive to questions (very good customer service). We went kayaking, swam, enjoyed meals on the deck, and had a nice bonfire by the lake. Close to a lot of attractions and things to do. Highly recommend this rental and would not hesitate to go back.

Cute little cottage! We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect for our quick getaway. It was great to be so close to Mackinac City and St. Ignace but still be out in the quiet zone. We made great use of the kayaks - fabulous! Enjoyed the deck overlooking the lake, as well as picnic tables down at the dock.
Downsides were as advertised/pictured: the fact that the property contains two cottages which are an arms length apart, and share a backyard/lake access, does create a privacy issue, especially with no shades on the windows. In addition, the bathroom and shower are teeny tiny :)
But again, this was all stated on the listing - just a little more dramatic in real life.
We had a great time!

Great cottage
The cottage was very clean. They had pest deterrent devices plugged into several plugs and that may have been why I never saw a single bug inside the cottage. Just like it says in the listing there is another cottage on the property, but it was much closer than I imagined. This was not a problem for us because the other family was quiet and nice, but if you want a more solitary experience, you will be disappointed. The lake was nice and we went out on the rowboat. There is a fire pit and several chairs to sit on down by the lake. It was a great house!

This property was all that we hoped it would be based on the listing. The walk down to the lake is short and we enjoyed nights at the fire pit and fishing. The equipment is in good shape and Mackinaw Island is easily accessible.

Great place for fun family vacation!
Paradise Lake Cottages were the perfect place for our family vacation. The cottage was super cute and clean. Very close to Mackinaw City, St. Ignace or hopping a ferry to the Island. The boys had a great time kayaking and finding all kinds of creatures in & around the lake. We were able to relax and explore the beauty of Northern Michigan. Eric & Monica were great hosts, checking in on us and ensuring we had what we needed. Would highly recommend and the boys are already asking when we can come back! ❤️

Awsome and quiet lake cottage
Family of six stayed comfortably in the cottage for 4 days of relaxation bliss in this wonderful piece of paradise. The house was very comfortable and had all the amenities needed for a multiple night stay. The property was very well maintained and the neighborhood was very quiet. The house is located the perfect distance from Mackinaw and the highway. Our kids had the time of their life in the lake, on the dock, fishing, kayaking, swimming, around the fire pit, and running around the yard being kids. The experiences we enjoyed here will be cherished in our hearts forever. Thank you to the host for providing everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Cute cabin, great location!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was super cute and the perfect mix of rustic feel with modern amenities. The lake was definitely the cherry on top, though. We made great use of it with swimming, kayaking, and fishing. The location couldn’t be better; it’s close enough to all the tourist attractions that we were able to enjoy them, but still far enough away that we felt secluded enough.

Could of been a 5 but
We found a dead mouse under the couch and the pull out sofa sleepers were to filthy to use. I would never go through Evolve Vacation rental agency to rent property again though through HomeAway ! We were not allowed to cancel with a refund during the COVID-19 which most other rentals through private people you were able to if you booked through HomeAway or VRBO! The property was on a nice piece of lake property but I would not recommend for elderly or handicap since there was a steep slope to get to the water! The paddle boat was broken so kids were disappointed! So besides the filthy sleeper couch dead mouse n broken paddle boat the property was decent! It would of had 5 stars if those things and the rental agency would of been better! I sent a text to our contact person with Evolve about the mouse but never heard back! If I owned the property I would definitely rent it out through a different agency n make sure that it is thoroughly cleaned for each guest especially during the COVID-19!!!
