Water's Edge was the perfect location for a 40th birthday celebration! We had six adults and the house was comfortable and spacious. The view out to the water is just unbelievable! Mark was very quick to respond to every question. Monique and her daughter were able to transport us to planned activities as well as last minute requests. Chef Everton cooked for us on our last night and it was such a treat. We all hope to be back one day soon!

Our family spent a lovely two weeks here over the winter holidays. The villa is larger than we had thought. We had more than enough room for everyone to spread out, enjoy comfortable reading nooks, play card games, and sleep in without disturbing each other. Waters Edge has everything you need, from a well appointed kitchen to a spacious back deck overlooking the ocean. We parents often enjoyed some wine in the beautiful front gated garden area while the grandparents watched the kids thoroughly enjoy every second of pool time they could get. The location is close enough to restaurants and grocery stores so that everything is easy to get to, but located in a residential area that was peaceful and relaxing. Mark, the owner, is great at communicating, and the property manager was helpful too. Great place for a larger family to stay--highly recommend!

Wonderful week spent relaxing at this beautiful Villa! Mark’s recommendations for everything were spot on. We spent tons of time on the beautiful patio enjoying the pool and spectacular views. Monique and her mom were always flexible with our ride requests. Amazing masseuse came right to the Villa one morning. And Chef Everton cooked us a phenomenal meal on our last night. Our only regret was not staying longer, as it was very hard to leave this oasis!!

Water's Edge was AMAZING! The property was even more beautiful than we expected. Our hosts were extremely helpful with anything that we needed. Chef Everton made the most tasty breakfast, highly recommend! Monique, the driver, made sure that we got everywhere we needed to go. Our group of seven adults was very comfortable and everyone enjoyed all of the amenities available on the property. My favorite day of the whole trip was just grilling on the patio/outdoor bar, listening to music while hanging in the hammock, swimming in the ocean and playing in the pool. I can't say enough how much this place was worth every penny!!! Thank you for such a wonderful trip in the Bahamas.

Mark and Lisa's ocean front home was perfect for our family of 6. We enjoyed everything the house has to offer - world class view, amazing sunrises, direct access to the ocean for snorkeling and paddle boarding, and the refreshing pool. The property is situated on a slight point on the shoreline with the adjacent homes set back a bit, which gives you the sense that you are the only house on the island. Communication with Mark prior to the trip was excellent, he provided recommendations for transportation (Monique is awesome!), a boat for hire (we went with Captain Blades' son on a day trip to Rose Island), and private chef (Chef Everton is in high demand , we were lucky to reserve a date). House manager Marsha met us at the home to check us in, and we also arranged for her to cook a meal for our arrival. Exactly what we needed after a delayed flight! The home was larger than I expected from the photos, we had plenty of room to spread out. Our 17 year old took the loft bedroom, she loved the privacy and not having to share a bathroom with her siblings. The two downstairs guest bedrooms are good sized and have plenty of storage. The master suite is very nice, updated bathroom and great view! For our family the outdoor space was a highlight. The house comes with an inflatable dinghy and a wide selection of snorkeling gear and water shoes. I would definitely rent this home again next we visit the Bahamas!

We had such a lovely stay at Water’s Edge and it offered us just what we were looking for - the perfect escape in paradise! Mark was so easy to communicate with and ensured we were set up to have the best experience. Between Monique (driving services) and Marsha (property manager), our arrival and departure were seamless. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner by Chef Everton and in-home couple massage by Massages by Sophia. We spent our days snorkeling, taking the dingy to the sandy beach right by Water’s Edge, grilling, enjoying the pool, and taking in the amazing views the property has to offer. The villa was clean, kitchen stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, bath towels, pool toys, and snorkeling gear to use. We truly did not want to leave this quiet, beautiful property in when our trip came to an end. We can’t wait to come back!

Water's edge was a beautiful property. The views were stunning, the home was nice and the communication with the owner was easy. I highly recommend following his recommendations for taxi service. If you choose not to rent a car (which we felt was well worth using the service over renting a car) Monique and her crew made our trip that much more amazing. They gave us so many tips on local gems including beach access and where to eat. It really elevated our stay on the island and saved us a great deal of money having not rented a car. The beach that is walking distance from the house as mentioned in the listing is a longer walk which prohibited us due to one of our party not being able to walk long distances but some of us did spend time at the park and that beach and it was beautiful, just be aware that the road is not easy to walk on due to traffic and you need to be a relatively healthy walker to navigate it. The beach in the pictures of the reviews that is super close to the house is not accessible to the public unless you come at it from the water, it was covered in trash and it was marked private property.
The snorkeling off the back of the house and areas around was fantastic. So many beautiful fish, sting rays and corral. It was like a successful treasure hunt each time we went out. The snorkel gear at the house was sufficient in that we found a few good pieces to use. If you love snorkeling this is a great place but maybe bring your own gear.

We visited from The Cotswolds, England, to celebrate a 60th birthday and to meet up with our local family, so wanted somewhere that provided more than the average rental property - somewhere that had clearly been lovingly cared for and provided everything we'd need to make the most of our holiday. We were delighted with Water's Edge and all of it's facilities, and had a wonderful 10 days making brilliant memories. Exceeded our expectations and would be really hard to find somewhere else as high spec as this, with all the bedrooms, living and outside space and thoughtful touches in such a perfect location! Thank you for having us - would highly recommend!

First off I would like to thank Mark and his family for the assistance and understanding leading up to this trip. We had quite a few hurdles that had nothing to do with them but they were so kind and understanding through all of it. Every hurdle was absolutely worth it to get to this property! Pictures do not do this place justice, it’s a hidden gem that I want to keep hidden all to myself. Marsha is an additional gem that words cannot describe, she’s so sweet and kind and hospitable and an AMAZING cook. I am still having dreams about her food. This was the ultimate recharge and relax trip with just enough excitement to entertain three teenagers. Mark and Marsha we will be back, you can count on it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

All I can say is Mark made me look like a rockstar to my friends as I booked this amazing vacation four our 40th Birthday trip. His communication was absolutely amazing and he has all the connections you need from taxi Joe, Chef Everton and Marsha the property manager. Upon a (late) arrival, we realized we forgot to buy coffee, so the sweet patient Marsha took one of us to the store to pick some up. Then there is the property...I would say the actual property is better than the pictures and I am not sure how that was possible, but it just is. The only mistake we made was not extending our trip longer. We snorkeled for hours using the house snorkel gear provided. We had chef Everton come to the house to make us a 4 course meal that was absolutely amazing. We played late night games with the games provided at the house. We only left the property one night and that was for a night at the Atlantis, where we found another great driver in Melanie. Thanks for making our 40th Birthday celebration a memorable one, we will be back!

Thank you Mark for providing such a beautiful home for use to stay during our Bahamas vacation. All the conveniences of a fully equipped kitchen and comforts of living area made this such a unique experience. On top of that, of course, you have the beautiful patio area with a nice size pool, access to your “backyard” ocean, and plenty of lounge chairs to sit back and enjoy! Our trip was the end of May and the Bahamas was a Level 3 for COVID. It was a comfort to not be staying at a resort where we may have been exposed.
A couple of suggestions to help those planning a trip:
- You’ll definitely want to stop for groceries and liquor on your way to the house. If you plan on barbecuing, you should purchase charcoal and lighter fluid. You should also purchase laundry detergent if you plan to wash your cloths, paper towel and toilet paper.
- Joe did pick us up one day to go the beach and when he’s not available, he will send another driver. We also met another great driver, Elliott Demeritte. Such a nice guy and knowledgeable of the area.
- We did have the Elnicka come to the house to administer our COVID tests for the return trip. Another comfort to be able to get this done in the home. Results came back in less than 2 hours and we were all negative!
I would definitely consider coming back to Waters Edge for a future vacation!

A group of 6 of us from Ohio stayed at Water's Edge in May of 2022. It was an incredible house, and an incredible vacation. The best part of the house was the view. The pictures (although great) don't even showcase how amazing the view and space really is. You could sit out there all week and be content. The pool is awesome. Not too cold to use either. I think the freshwater pool has turned into saltwater over time, but that's no problem. We used the charcoal grill outdoor to cook fish we caught on a charter.
The house also provides an ample supply of snorkel gear, water shoes, life jackets, and a dinghy that we used a lot to go out in the water. The waves were calm enough most days for us to take the boat pretty far out. Since the water was calm, we were also able to snorkel in the crystal clear water with visibility all the way to the bottom in pretty deep water. We saw all kinds of fish, sting rays, sea turtles, huge conch shells, even an eel!
The inside of the house was very clean. My wife has high standards of cleanliness and Water's Edge passed the test with flying colors. Marsha was very nice and does great work with the maintenance. Her intro to us at check in was quick, and wished she spent a few more minutes explaining some of the nuances of the house, but we eventually figured it out.
As for activities on the island, there is plenty to do. We took a fishing charter and loved it. Caught a bunch of small fish and two good sized tuna. Great eating fish! We also saw a bunch of turtles and dolphins. We also went on the Sandy Toes swimming with the pigs adventure, which was a blast. Highly recommend. One day we went to Jaws beach and walked around the Clifton Heritage Park. We stopped at a local bar there and had a great time. We also went to Atlantis for a day, which was fun. You could easily spend a couple days there and have plenty to do. It was a cool place to see.
One thing I would recommend is renting a car. We decided last minute to do that and I'm really glad we did. We probably put 300 miles on that thing exploring the island. I thought it would be difficult to drive on the left side of the road, but I got used to it pretty quickly. Plus we went to 4-5 restaurants, and this made travel easy. Recommend Compass Point and Oh Andros as our top 2 for the week. Seeing the Fish Fry is a must.
Overall, this place is just perfect. Very thankful for the opportunity to stay here and would highly recommend!

Paradise and Privacy
What a wonderful home this is! Waters Edge is clean, comfortable, and has a spectacular view of the water. The owner, Mark, was extremely responsive during the preparation for our trip (I asked a TON of questions), Joe the taxi driver was reliable and pleasant, and Summer the nurse who came to the house for our required Covid tests was sweet and accommodating! We met the property manager, Marsha, on our first night and she was very helpful as well. The pool was a little chilly so we didn’t go in it much but with the gorgeous breeze (more like gusts of wind!) you were never hot outside and could just bask in the sunshine all day! We never even turned on the AC in the house because with all the doors and windows open, the sea air was all we needed. Truly a remarkable home! Highly highly recommend! Make sure you stop at a grocery store or have groceries delivered when you first arrive in Nassau. We had Joe take us to a grocery store and liquor store on our way back from the airport, and looking back, I wish we would have had everything delivered. Also, make sure you get essentials, like laundry detergent, all purpose cleaner, garbage bags, dishwashing liquid, etc because we made the mistake of not getting all of those things on our first stop to the store, so we had to go back out the next day - not a big deal, but worth noting! Sooooo much better than being at a hotel! You can’t beat the amazing privacy at Waters Edge.

40th Birthday Celebration
We had an awesome experience from the time we booked our trip and throughout our stay. Mark was a fabulous host, answering questions and communicating along the way.
Marsha was wonderful to help with any questions and a few things we needed once we arrived. Joe the amazing taxi driver/tour guide and overall just friendly, nice and went the extra mile on everything we needed. The recommendations to utilizes Summer's services for PCR testing were quick and flawless, she was also so friendly.
We enjoyed this stunning property and all the amenities! The view was gorgeous! The property and items from the pool, dingy to go to the reefs, all the accessories at the house to help make things more enjoyable. The kitchen had a lot of necessities that we were looking for, therefore we went to the grocery and stayed in for almost all meals. The guide book for the villa was helpful to give us direction on places to shop, recommended excursions and restaurants. We enjoyed the games that were available to play.

Mark the owner was very responsive and recommended a taxi driver Joe to us who was brilliant and always turned up punctually and was a great help to us.
