Nestled in Emerald Isle, this lovely house for $356 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Enjoy great ocean views & sound of the ocean from the 2-level deck & top floor living area. Formerly Sunset Dream. Fantastic location. Well-appointed. Clean. 4 bedrooms, 3 baths + an outdoor hot & cold shower. Sleeps 8. Plenty of room to spread out. 2 master bedrooms with king beds & ensuite baths, 1 queen bed & 2 twin beds. There are 2 entrances. One is through the carport where the 2nd refrigerator is located for your extra drinks & food provision. The other entrance is on the left side through the deck. The side entry will take you directly to the lower level where 3 of the 4 bedrooms are conveniently located to drop off your luggage. 1st bedroom has 2 twin beds, 2nd bedroom has a queen bed & the main king bedroom with ensuite bath & a private deck with ocean view are on the lower level. The hallway bathroom, shared by the queen & 2-twin bedroom, the washer & dryer are all on this level. The top floor has the 2nd king bedroom with an ensuite bath, the living room & dining room & the well-equipped kitchen. There is a ceiling fan, TV and DVD player in every bedroom. The living & dining rooms are bright & airy with plenty of seating, a 55" flat screen TV with blue ray player. The kitchen has granite counter tops, white cabinets & stainless steel appliances. It is fully equipped with a variety of small appliances including a 2-in-1 twelve-cup brewer & a Keurig single serve coffeemaker, a blender, a slow cooker to start your meal while you're out enjoying the sand & sea. There's an assortment of spices & condiments for your home-cooked meals. High speed internet & cable TV with streaming throughout. 2 beach accesses are located right across the street approximately 50 steps away. Beach chairs, a beach cart & beach toys are all available for your use. An outdoor hot & cold shower for rinsing yourself & the pups. There is a basketball hoop, volleyball court, corn hole set, a large gas grill, picnic table & a hammock to relax in. We don't guarantee gas for the grill but cylinder available for exchange if needed. Coffee pods, toilet paper, paper towel and dish pods are provided to get you through the beginning of your stay but not provided for the entire length of your stay. Indoor entertainment includes a DVD library, games & books. We are less than 3 miles to town. Emerald Isle is bike friendly with a path that runs the length of the island. The house is conveniently located near highly-rated restaurants, 2 supermarkets, shops, a public boat ramp & Bogue Inlet Pier. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING OF ANY KIND IN THE HOUSE or illegal drug use on property. OCCUPANCY IS FOR 8 PEOPLE MAX. An additional $150 will be charged for each unauthorized guest per night or will result in immediate eviction without refunds. We are dog friendly. A vacuum cleaner & a broom are provided for your convenience for dog hair clean up. 2 dogs maximum stay for free. Insurance liability restricts the following breeds of dog: German Shepherd, Pit Bull, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, Wolf hybrids & other aggressive breeds. Sorry, strictly NO CATS. We have severe allergy to cats. All towels & sheets are included in your stay with no extra charge. Beds are already made when you arrive. WE DO NOT RENT TO COLLEGE STUDENTS, FRATERNITY & THE LIKE. My family and I (Wife, Dog, and Both sets of Parents) rented Mary Ann and Scotts beach house for Thanksgiving this year. We had a wonderful time celebrating the holiday all together under the same roof in Emerald Isle. The house was perfect and had all the items we needed to celebrate our Thanksgiving. Plenty of space for everyone and convenient access to the beach (right across the street). We would highly recommend this property for your family vacation during the holiday or just a trip to Emerald Isle in general.

Had a very enjoyable time in Emerald Isle. We had guests in 3 of the 4 bedrooms and this was an economical luxury alternative to us paying for 4 hotel rooms.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beach house! It was clean and comfy. It had a well stocked kitchen with great views because of the perfect location. The owners were so sweet and helpful the entire duration of our stay and always made sure everything was going well at the house.

Hands down one of the best vacation rentals and experiences we've had in over a decade of VRBO experiences. Seamless and consistent communication with hosts before and during stay so we were well prepared and well taken care of throughout. We had two littles, two grandparents, two parents, and one dog, and each person (and pup) had their own space, bathrooms, and room to play/rest, while we all shared the well appointed kitchen, decks/outdoor spaces, indoor living spaces, laundry in comfort and style.
The beach access can't be beat, just a quick walk across the street to the sandy access beach path (with a boardwalk/boarded path just down the block if walking through sand is tough on older guests). Beach was beautiful with ample space to plant our family and spread out for the day. Town, grocery stores, shops, food options (including a great fish market), all needed amenities all within 10 minutes up or down the road. We never left the island and had an incredible week filled with beach time every day, rest time at home, and wonderful home cooked (and grilled) meals of fresh caught fish, seafood, steaks, and veggies.
We loved every moment of our stay and Mary Ann and Scott were perfectly gracious and supportive hosts. Perfect generational beach stay and a wonderful way to wind down our summer and get ready for the school year! Thank you Mary Ann and Scott and we hope to see you again next summer - we love EI and your lovely home!

The view of beach was great. Was very short walk to the beach. We found a number of shells and the guys had good luck fishing.
We built many sand castles and road the great waves .
We took our own chairs but there were chairs available if needed!!
The living space was awesome for our family of 7 and our dog Cody too.
The kitchen was well stocked as we ate all our meals in.
It was great that the linens and towels were included and that we had enough to trade out towels at mid week with fresh set.
The hammock was a nice added extra and we were glad to have chairs on the decks to use.
Mary Ann and Scott were great host who care and communicated to make sure all was well with our needs and stay.
The place met all our expectations and more.
We definitely hope it works out that we can return again next year!!

We chose Emerald Isle for an after Christmas family getaway. My husband, two young adult sons, our family dog, and I had everything we needed and more at Coastie's Homeport! Mary Ann and Scott were exceptionally welcoming, kind, and attentive hosts throughout our stay, and we definitely would stay again and recommend them to anyone.
This spot was perfect! We could see and hear the ocean from the decks, easily walk across the street to the beach, and were well located for exploring the NC Aquarium, Fort Macon, and everywhere from Swansboro to Cape Lookout. We also had a wonderful charter fishing experience with Capt. Jeff Cronk of nccharterfishing.com. He also does ecotours and we'd recommend him as well. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our vacation experience - it was wonderful. We can't wait to come back. Thanks Mary Ann & Scott!

We’ve stayed in a lot of houses in the EI area, but this one is now at the top of our list. The setup is great for a family with adult children, and the home was perfectly organized. It was very well stocked with all the necessities needed during our stay. The owner was able to accommodate our schedule change, and she was very easy to get in touch with. You can tell she really cares about the guests staying at her home, and she wants to make sure you enjoy your time while there. We will definitely be returning, and recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We had a wonderful time visiting Emerald Isle for the first time. The house was perfect for our family. There was plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you need to prepare meals for your family. The kitchen has plenty of flatware, plates, cups, glasses, serving pieces to provide meals for your family members.
The outdoor shower made it convenient to keep sandy feet and paws outside! There is plenty of room to spread out. Given the weather we chose to enjoy all of our meals outside on the deck. We could enjoy both sunrise and sunset from the upper deck and listen to to ocean.
The home is nicely decorated and very comfortable. All the beds were comfortable. The beach was easily accessed just across the street. The neighborhood is very walkable. Check in and check out were easy. Our host provided great suggestions of things to do and dining options. We can’t wait to return to this home on Emerald Isle.

We had a wonderful time. The house is absolutely beautiful, clean, and comfortable. It is also very well appointed - everything you could wish for in the kitchen, quality washer and dryer, comfortable beds and pillows, 2nd refrigerator, hose, outdoor shower, grill, and grassy yard. We had wonderful dinners on the top deck — great ocean views. The 2nd deck has a little view too. The beach is just a very quick walk across the street. My collie and I enjoyed late evening walks on the beach. Overall, great location, just across from the beach, and just minutes from public dock access to the sound where we dropped in our paddle boards, and close to stores and take out dinners. The owner is lovely and very accessible, check in/out was a breeze. Loved the house and our stay on Emerald Isle. We look forward to going back!!!

Everything is exactly as pictured, but the photos of balcony views and entire main floor don't do justice! We loved our stay here at Sunset Dreams West! We had a total of 2 couples and 3 dogs that stayed for the week and were incredibly grateful for Mary Ann & Scott. They are incredibly responsive and caring to make sure we truly enjoyed our stay at their vacation home! It totally makes a difference when renting through a vacation property such as this. There are a lot of stairs throughout the home, in case that is a problem for future renters, but we would completely recommend and stay here again! The beach access is right across the street with two options of a ramp or sanded pathway. The beach is gorgeous and although we didn't exactly have the weather I specifically had hoped for, it was awesome to not be in such a crowded area. You are about 2 miles away from the main spots of town where restaurants, shops and groceries, are but there's a great pathway the entire route for walking or bikes to and from. It was our first time Emerald Isle & most certainly will be back again!

We absolutely loved this house in Emerald Isle! It is spacious, beautiful decor, and the location is perfect. There are two master bedrooms which worked perfectly for our group. And the full-sized fridge on the ground level is genius! We didn’t have to carry a large cooler to the beach because we were so close to the house. The outside area was well designed with the shower (with hot water) for rinsing off our sandy feet, a picnic table, BBQ grill, and plenty of conveniently placed beach chairs and a cart. The house was fully stocked with all of the essentials along with many extra convenience items.
We were excited to bring our two very spoiled dogs, but the house was so clean I wouldn’t have guessed it was dog-friendly (thank you, Elena and the cleaning crew!). The owners were absolutely wonderful to work with! Mary Ann made sure everything was taken care of prior to arrival and then checked in a few times to ensure everything was going well during our stay. It was more like communicating with a life-long friend instead of simply renting their beautiful house.
You could not ask for a better location; we had a lengthy list of ‘touristy’ things we wanted to do and everything was less than 30 minutes from the beach house. This house is in the perfect location, beautiful views, extremely quiet neighborhood, great owners, and convenient access to what felt like a private beach. We highly recommend this property and have already started planning our trip for next year!

This is a very comfortable house in a nice portion of Emerald Isle. The house is one row in from the beach, but it's a very short walk to the beautiful beach and you can see much of the ocean from the third-floor balcony. The EI commercial district is about 2 miles away and there are nice bike routes in either direction.
The house was well-appointed with kitchen gear, towels/linens, and electronics (tv and wifi, mainly), and the management/owners were easy to deal with and responsive. We would happily stay here again.

We love this beach house and have stayed here frequently. It is the perfect combination of accessible beach location, comfortable home, well stocked kitchen and amenities to include being able to bring our dog. :) It is one of our favorites in EI and we highly recommend it!

This 2nd Row property on Ocean Drive is a true gem. Hands down our favorite features were the 3rd floor deck overlooking the ocean and the beautiful sandy path literally steps away to the beach. Mary Ann and Scott have provided so many thoughtful touches to this property that will make your stay feel like home. There is a charming beach and nautical decor throughout every room and the open design of the 3rd floor with the kitchen and dining and living area provide great views to the ocean and colorful skies at sunrise and sunset. Just one example of their thoughtfulness is that every area outside and every room inside has great lighting and each light switch is labeled as to what it turns off and on and this was very helpful when we first arrived and throughout our stay. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need and has a sitting bar area and we enjoyed cooking throughout our extended stay and just having our meals in the dining room and on the 3rd floor deck. The extra full size refrigerator in 1st floor entry room is a great convenience and was much appreciated.

Great Thanksgiving getaway!
We spent our Thanksgiving here and had a great stay! The house is beautiful and very clean. The kitchen was well-appointed and had plenty of counter space for our holiday feast prep. The bedrooms are all a nice size, and the mattresses are super comfy - a rare find! The decks are great, and you can clearly see and hear the ocean from them. There are two super close beach accesses right across the street.
We had great communication with the owners, Mary Ann and Scott. We will definitely look to stay here again! We've been coming to EI for 20 years and have stayed in many homes. This one definitely sits near the top of them!
