We'll definitely stay here again if we come back to Kyoto. Very clean little house. 10 minute walk to the main Kyoto station. Pass many Kombini on the way. Comfortable beds. I'm a 194cm Australian man and the 'single' bed was enough for what I needed!
Air-conditioning in every room was a massive bonus.
It wasn't clear upon booking that there is a surcharge for the use of any futons, approx 2000yen/futon for the other room.
Stairs were quite narrow to get up and down with any luggage required upstairs, but not a big issue.
I know it is traditional structural accommodation but it gets very bright in the bedrooms VERY early in the morning. If you like dark sleeping conditions, this isn't the accommodation for you.
Would've loved a toaster in the accommodation.
Some of the batteries in the handheld lights and remotes were empty.

We checked in for our townhouse at the reception desk that was about a 5 minute walk from the main Kyoto station. They provided a taxi ride to our townhouse after checkin, which was wonderful since we had alot of luggage. They had some nice amenities in the lobby as well such as masks for sore feet, bath salts, etc. The property itself was beautiful with 2 "rooms" (1 very large room separated by sliding doors) and a living room space, 2 toilets, a washing machine, small garden space, 1 very nice washroom with a great bath tub, and a functional kitchen space. Location of townhouse was a safe 10 minutes walk from the main Kyoto station. The location itself was in a quieter neighborhood of Kyoto and within 5 minutes walking distance from Toji temple! They provided pajamas and slippers which were extremely comfy. Loved it, would stay again!
We had a group of 6 which was a little bit tight at times solely due to luggage. There was little room in the rooms for you to have a tidy area for your things. A duffel bag and backpack for each person would've been more comfortable rather than half our group having larger rolling suitcases.
Our 6th person had a futon in the living room area which I felt was an important detail for the property to mention since it crowds the communal space. The second room was just 3 futon-beds. I think the ideal number of people for this property is 4-5 (2 in the room with the western style beds, and 2/3 in the other connected room).
Also I was a bit confused by the location of the apartment when booking prior to coming as I thought we were staying at a different address but that may be user error since I was not familiar with Japanese-style addresses at the time.
