Nestled in Carmel by the Sea, this attractive house for $219 per night is a great option for your next break. Sanctuary Vacation Rentals is proud to present “Whispering Waves”! Home sleeps up to 4 adults and 2 children age 12 and under. This single level home on a Carmel cul-de-sac makes a perfect getaway, winter or summer, in a quiet neighborhood that is within walking distance of the shops and galleries of downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and the beach. A walkway right out the front door brings you on to a boardwalk for a beautiful stroll past sand dunes to the Carmel Beach. Whispering Waves is also close to the golf courses and restaurants of Pebble Beach® and a short 10-minute drive to Monterey and Pacific Grove, 15 minutes to Carmel Valley, or a half-hour to Big Sur. Surrounded by moss-covered Monterey pines and oaks, the 1150 square feet, 2-bedroom, 2-bath home sleeps up to six, and features newly remodeled interiors, a spacious gourmet kitchen, and an enclosed patio that’s a perfect spot for families or couples to relax, barbecue, or enjoy a glass of wine. Old World style can be found throughout the beautifully decorated home as well as a variety of modern conveniences. The light-filled residence features skylights and windows in every room. Vaulted open-beam ceilings, plaster walls and dark hardwood flooring hints at California’s Mission heritage, and that sense of history is enhanced through the furnishings and carefully chosen paintings of which several were done by the owner. The kitchen, living room, bar area and dining room flow together, making this an ideal place for entertaining. The Old World style dining room table seats six, with a convenient bar area nearby, and custom built-in cabinetry adds to the ambiance. A 36-inch HDTV can be viewed from either the kitchen or living room, which features cozy upholstered seating, a queen sleeper sofa for 1 - 2 children, and a gas fireplace, the perfect spot for conversation, playing board games or reading a good book. Cable and wireless Internet are available throughout the home. Rich earth tones of sienna, red and chocolate further add to the warmth of the décor, and wrought iron chandeliers match the historic look of the home. The well-equipped kitchen includes new stainless steel appliances and tumbled stone tile counter tops and backsplash. Counter seating for two is just right for a quick snack or drink. A stacked washer and dryer are at the ready for laundry needs. Bedrooms and Bathrooms French doors lead from the primary bedroom to an enclosed back patio with outdoor table and chairs, surrounded by live oaks. Bedroom #1 amenities include a king-size bed, a 40-inch HDTV, an accent antique-style electric fireplace and en-suite bathroom, which features a shower with custom travertine tilework and a large adjustable sunflower shower head. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed and 36-inch HDTV, and an adjacent bathroom offers a combination tub/shower and travertine tile. Docks for iPods can be found in both bedrooms. A queen sleeper sofa is located in the living room. The two tiled patios are accessible through three sets of French doors, with ample outdoor seating, a deluxe gas grill, and privacy fencing. Parking space for several cars is available in front of the house. Well-behaved dogs under 30lbs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum. This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner. This vacation home is professionally managed by Sanctuary Vacation Rentals. With over 15 years of property management experience, Sanctuary strives to provide environments that nurture and inspire with all the comforts of home. This was the second time we rented a house through Sanctuary and once again could not have been happier. The house was in a wonderful location, was clean and very comfortable. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and provided us with whatever we needed. They even gave us Christmas cookies, a Poinsettia, and candy as we were there over the holidays.We would highly recommend Sanctuary Vacation rentals, and would definitely rent through them again.

Great Carmel vacation home
This is a fantastic rental. Pictures are representative of the property. Although this property allows pets, there is no evidence of it in the condition of the home and decor. Conveniently located close to downtown and to the beach. Very quiet street.
Well appointed with everything that we needed.

Spend a Perfect Month in Carmel
The owners of Whispering Waves have added all the details to their place for a comfortable stay. It is not only beautifully decorated but has bedrooms and a kitchen with everything you could need. With two patios you are able to sit in the sun or shade and in the front you can hear the ocean. There is a lane across the street that takes you on a quick walk down to the beach and a within a five minutes you can be on Ocean Avenue so the location is perfect. I had a couple of questions and was able to meet the manager, Pravinesh Singh, who was readily available to assist me with anything. It was a magical and relaxing vacation and I highly recommend this property.

Stress Evaporates at Whispering Waves
Delightful doesn't even begin to describe how lovely our stay was at this Carmel home.
My girlfriend and I escaped from Palo Alto with another couple to Whispering Waves for the weekend and we never wanted to leave.
The drive to the property was straightforward and clear. The house is right off of the main street in the town - making everything within easy walking distance.
When we arrived, much to our delight, there was wine and fresh gourmet goat cheese and crackers waiting for us!!
The rooms themselves were nicely apportioned. The living room had a wood-burning fireplace, two plush recliners, and a cozy couch.
The kitchen was fully stocked with brand new utensils, cookware, dishwasher, gas-burning stove, clean oven, gigantic refrigerator, and packets of coffee and tea ready for the next morning. Our bedroom (the master bedroom) had an electric fireplace, full bathroom, and cozy king-sized bed. The guest bedroom had a queen-sized bed and was next to another full bathroom, making things easy for a group of 4.
My favorite part about the place overall though was the skylights: Practically every room in the house had a skylight so natural light was always flooding through the house.
As far as location is concerned - everyone LOVED where the house was situated. A 5 minute walk in one direction would place you smack in the center of Ocean Avenue with coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants, art galleries, and wine tasting rooms literally surrounding you. Another 5 minute walk in the opposite direction would land you on the beach.
The morning run through the neighborhood and up to Carmel Point was fantastic. Watching the fog roll back from the sea along a green, rocky coastline from a smooth sand beach was arguably one of the most gorgeous views we'd ever seen.
If you need a break from any kind of stress at work or just want to clear your head in a cheerful place, Whispering Waves is absolutely for you. We cannot recommend it highly enough.
