First notice this venue Villa Koggala is on main road and best identified on Google maps via Fish Stick Restaurant. There’s an imitation nearer the lagoon that’s not correct.
Accommodation is comfortable but basic. Don’t expect luxuries. But family that run it are kind and helpful and cook excellent fresh food. Restaurant is popular with locals too. Make sure you ask them about visiting nearby Weduwa Arana Buddhist monastery by boat especially if it’s a full moon Poya Day. Beautiful serene monastery and shrine.
Little things: like water, toilet paper supplies to rooms so u didn’t need to ask for them. (Though all supplied with a smile when we asked). Small waste bins for rubbish: so u could empty into larger bin on shared rooftop.
