We had the most amazing stay! Nicest property we have stayed in. Thank you to the host, Fiona for answering our messages very timely and also giving us extra historical information about the property. A great base to go exploring.

Charming cottage in a beautiful location, well equipped with everything you could need during your stay. Fiona, the host, was very accommodating and so helpful before, during and after our stay. We loved our time here and have already recommended to friends & family.

The cottage was very cosy and clean and we felt very much at home there. There are fabulous walks nearby An issue we had was dealt with promptly. We were happy with our short visit and wish we could have stayed longer.

We had the pleasure to stay at the idyllic Winters cottage over the New Year. Throughout our stay Fiona, the host was really communicative providing many suggestions and assistance if needed. We were blessed with glorious weather especially during winter and with some days of snow, the property and nature surrounding it really had a charm from sunrise to sunset. The accommodation was clean and spacious with all the amenities provided. As there is a wood and coal bunker it really helped with keeping the cottage warm with the open and fire, especially for the kitchen. You can feel the charm of it being a historical family home and throughout the stay it provided a period of pure relaxation, being the truest experience of a a getaway. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The cottage offers comfortable stays, well-equipped with beautiful surroundings and friendly hosts. It's a perfect base for exploring and relaxing, with helpful communication, cozy fireplaces, and thoughtful amenities.

A comfortable, cosy and archetypal Scottish cottage steeped in history with a large, well maintained private garden, veranda and southerly panoramic view over the Earl of Airlie's estate to the hills beyond; the cottage has 2 bedrooms sleeping 4 people - 1 large twin room and 1 double room; 1 bathroom with separate shower, new kitchen/morning room with log burner and TV, sitting room with open fire and TV, and porch for storage. IT IS SITUATED IN THE HAMLET OF DYKEHEAD, A FEW METRES FROM BEAUTIFUL GLENS CLOVA AND PROSEN, ON THE EDGE OF THE CAIRNGORMS NATIONAL PARK. EQUIDISTANT BETWEEN BALMORAL CASTLE AND THE SCOTTISH CAPITAL EDINBURGH, THE COTTAGE IS ABOUT ONE AND A HALF HOUR'S DRIVE - both well worth a visit! Whatever time of year, there is something to appeal to everyone - Enjoy Burn's night suppers in January, celebrate Valentine's day at The Gin Bothy in Glamis with afternoon tea and gin prosecco, take a snowdrop tour at Scone Palace or Cambo Estate, visit the V & A museum at Dundee, enjoy outdoor theatre at Glamis Castle, the annual Scottish game fair at Scone Palace, local highland games, Edinburgh Festival and Tattoo, outdoor cinema at Scone, wild swimming and picnics in the local rivers, the annual vintage farming rally, halloween and the annual antiques fair at Scone Palace, St Andrew's day celebrations, Christmas concerts, theatre in Perth or Dundee and local farmers' markets. This welcoming cottage, surrounded by breathtaking countryside, is the perfect spot for keen walkers, golfers, cyclists, fishers and those looking to unwind at the end of the day with a glass of wine and a good book beside a roaring log fire! Rural, yet within touching distance of the coast and some of Scotland's great towns and cities - Winters Cottage is a little gem.
PLEASE NOTE, the cottage is professionally cleaned for each turnaround and towels and linen are laundered by a professional laundry company. We use antibacterial cleaning products. Extra housekeeping is available on request.
