This was our second visit to Canon Lane and I am sure that we'll be back before too long. The rooms are well presented with everything you'd need for a comfortable stay - the building itself is a lovely Georgian property and, in a previous life, was an Archdeanry. In a peaceful setting, with great views of the Cathedral or gardens, it's the perfect place to stay. Communication with our hosts prior to our arrival was excellent - we were given all the information we needed for parking and to gain entry into the building and our room. The location is excellent - it's just a short walk to the Cathedral, Theatre and other attractions.
I can't think of anything.

Lovely old building nice to feel in the heart of cathedral area. Very sumptuous and comfortable everything considered well. Lock box entry all safe and secure. So I didn’t meet any staff but have stayed here before and I really like it. Good feel to it.
Nothing not to like!

Location and large room.
Terrible and rude experience with booking staff. We were travelling in the area by train and needed to drop our bags off. We overheard someone tell the cleaner “under no circumstances let us in our room before 3pm and that we were cheeky and a right pain”. We hadn’t even asked for a check in.

"Character property. Very spacious with high ceilings and large dual aspect windows. Our double room had amazing views of the cathedral..
Superb location in the city centre with a choice of restaurants..."
