It was a very relaxed place to hang out on the hammocks or escape the heat in air conditioned rooms. The staff and volunteers were so friendly and were always willing to offer advice and had plenty of activities to do if you were up for them. 10/10.

I loved staying at Mapache! The crew working here is amazing. They make a different breakfast every morning, organize activities and take you to the good places on the island. Everything is very chill and low key. Would highly recommend and would love to come back some day!

Great location, close to the town and the beach
The tipis are comfortable
Toilets blocking, property across the road plays loud music until 2am, kitchen plates are old and badly scraped from over use, need replacing.

Breakfast was tasty and varied and staff were very friendly. Good location in centre of town.
Was assigned a teepee next to the generator which made it hard to sleep at night, along with the fan and the noises of motorcycles throughout the night. Bring earplugs. Toilets were often clogged or didn’t flush properly, and toilets didn’t have paper overnight. No hot water in the showers at all.
