About this cottage rental
Nestled in Virginia Beach, this lovely cottage for $290 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Family Beach Cottage with perennial flower garden (cutting allowed), screened porch and small open deck with plenty of seating. Two bedrooms, lovely décor. South bedroom holds a beautiful cast-iron canopy QUEEN bed custom-made for the Pink House by Levin's Brass Beds of Virginia. North room holds FULL-size bed with a SINGLE-size roll-away underneath, new mattresses and pillows. Total, the cottage should be able to sleep a family of 5 comfortably, depending on the size and needs of the individuals. Linens are provided and beds made for you for your arrival so you don't have to do anything. *Be aware that full-size bed may not fit larger guests comfortably. The house might only then fit 3. We count on your experience to know your own needs. Each room has a dresser and the second room has a small closet with portable racks for hanging wet clothes and towels. Appliance-equipped kitchen for cooking complete meals (no ice-maker or dish-washer), microwave, crock pot, and 2 types of coffee maker, handy for those traveling with special diet restrictions or busy families. Small backyard, no fence. Dining/living areas, tv, high-speed internet, Netflix and cable, central air, fireplace for off-season. Games, books, and drawing items for use. Grocery store and coin laundry just 1/2 mile away towards the north. Permit parking only (we provide Guest Pass. Fee only if you lose it.) Flowers almost all year 'round. It changes by the Owner's whim or Mother Nature's mood swings. Most of cleaning fee is included in the rent, (small minimum fee added to guarantee maid income). Cozy 100% cotton linens provided with one fee per stay, beds will be made for arrival, one bath and one beach towel per guest. Kitchen linens provided. Some toilet paper and soap as well (We supply enough for most but do not guarantee supply for stay, especially since we now have to portion it out as a valuable commodity. We are trying to supply our guests with the best available). This cottage is like having an aunt with a beach house. Please enjoy yourselves and say hello to the neighbors. It's the Virginia thing to do! *CLEANING: Since the Covid-19 shut-down, we have been cleaning and painting at the cottage. Our housekeeper has asthma so we do not make a habit of using harsh chemicals in the house unless absolutely needed. In addition to our normal system of using mild cleansers, we are finishing all guest preparation by wiping down 'touchy' surfaces like handles and light switches with alcohol disinfectant as we walk out the door and lock it behind us. Sheets, towels, and pillowcases will be washed. Blankets and coverlets will be run through a hot dryer, just for sanitation (they don't typically need to be washed after every use). We have removed most of the rugs in the house to make it easier to clean. Chairs were switched out to hard surfaces that are easier to wipe down. Be aware that there is no dishwasher in the house. If you feel uncomfortable using the supplied housewares, please bring paper plates, etc. We are doing our best to provide you with a safe and comfortable environment during your stay. Please keep us in mind as well, and as much as we would like to host you, please do not come unless you are symptom free. Selma the house-keeper cares for the elderly in her other job. It is very important she stays healthy. We are grateful for your co-operation.

Stay was very comfortable and convienent to the heart of Virginia Beach. Within walking distance to about anything needed for a stay. Restuarants, Bars, Shopping, etc. The plant growth shown in the front of the house is the same as in the back which made us uncomfortable with what could be in hiding. There was no yard in which to step outside with your pet for them to relieve themselves. Not really pet friendly

This cozy little house is conveniently located near the beach and arts district. It is perfectly laid out and beautifully decorated- we had everything we needed. The garden is lovely and there was a vase of fresh flowers in our bedroom. Denise, the owner, was super helpful and worked it so we could check in early. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at the Pink House while attending a family wedding. The cottage is located within short walking distance to the beach, coffee shops, and restaurants. We arrived to fresh flower arrangements from the beautiful gardens on the property! The cottage was immaculately clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. Denise responded quickly and was thorough with all the information we needed for our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Visiting Virginia Beach for the Neptune Festival, we felt so lucky to have found this little gem! The house was perfect! It had everything the two of us needed and was within walking distance of the festival as well as the awesome Vibe District where we spent time exploring. The house and Denise make you feel like family- all the little personal touches and information in the binders really makes this a one of a kind stay. Our favorite of all time by far. We wish we could have stayed longer just to spend more time in the house. Thank you Denise! We hope to return and book again! So much love this little perfect place.

The little pink house is cozy and super charming. I took my mom and six-year-old daughter for a beach vacation and it was the perfect size for all three of us. My daughter dubbed it “the fairy cottage” and she’s not wrong! Very clean, and comfortable with a lovely garden. It is by far the cutest house in the neighborhood, with lots of pretty and artistic details inside and out. It was only 4 blocks to the ocean, and a close very easy drive over to the quieter Sandbridge area, and the even closer aquarium. Parking was always easy to get right in front of the house. The host was friendly and communicative via text. Highly recommend!

My family (and dogs) had a wonderful stay at the pink beach house. While our trip was a short one, to enjoy the Oceana NAS airshow, this beach house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The property is in a safe location (where I felt safe to walk my dogs around the streets alone) and in close distance to conveniences such as the beach (maybe 4 blocks), grocery shopping (2 min drive), Oceana NAS (15 min drive), Norfolk Tides game (20 min drive), and the highway (5 minute drive). The property was as described and loaded with creature comforts to make your stay that much more comfortable. The property owner was very responsive and was kind enough to leave us a treat basket for us and our dogs that did not disappoint! My family would definitely recommend this property for families and their dogs!

Myself and colleagues stayed here for 5 nights Aug 2023. We were in town for a training and wanted to have comforts of home. It is SO cute. She sent a very detailed doc before our stay that told us everything the kitchen had for our use and tons of property info. It was very helpful in planning what groceries we could buy. Very cozy and not decorated like a lot of rentals that are exclusively decorated from hobby lobby ;) Very convenient to grocery store, beach, and restaurants. Lovely porch and garden provides some privacy from the street.

We had the most wonderful time at this sweet home. My mom, sister, and I came for a girls' weekend, and we couldn't have imagined a better place. It's beautifully decorated, and Denise had thought of everything. We loved reading about the history of the home, and her recommendation book was super helpful. There were oohs and aahs every day as we discovered something new. Breakfast out in the back garden was the perfect way to start every day. We can't wait to book a trip back next year!

Adorable little house that is only a couple minute walk from the beach and boardwalk! Anything you could need is right there— the location is really excellent. The owner is super kind and quick to respond to any issues you may have, and even gave us some suggestions for things to do when the weather during our stay wasn’t great. The house is definitely cozy, but that suited our little party just fine. Such a beautiful home, would absolutely recommend!

This was our second time staying at the little pink house with our first visit being in 2021and we were quickly reminded how much we love this place! In fact, I will at some point bring my parents with me on a subsequent visit bc I know they will love it as much as us! The house continues to be well cared for and is in as good of shape as it was in 2021! This is also one of the cleanest houses we have ever rented. And the homeowner is delightful!

And to be 3 short blocks walking to the beach and boardwalk is fantastic and so convenient! My husband, sister-in-law and I had a delightful stay at this charming, comfortable, classic little beach cottage. Only a few walkable blocks to the beach and the boardwalk made it easy to park the car and let it sit for our entire stay. Definitely a rare gem of a place. We loved our stay. The house was beautiful comfortable and cozy. It was also very clean. The house is in a central location and very easy to get to the attractions as well as restaurants in the area. We would definitely like to stay here again, if we are in the area!

This was a lovely cottage! The photos don’t do it justice. It was well appointed with a book about the area that was helpful in finding restaurants and things to do. Primary bed was super comfortable. Plenty of kitchen equipment to cook a meal. The owner left a basket of snacks which was appreciated. You need to stay here!

Wow, just wow! My husband and I so enjoyed staying at the Little Pink Cottage as our home base for three days. Tucked into the quiet Old Beach neighborhood yet only three blocks from the beach is the coziest place we’ve ever rented. Most important to us are cleanliness and comfortable bedding. Our expectations were exceeded on both fronts. We didn’t need to do much cooking but know that you could likely prepare a gourmet meal with all of the pots, pans, dishes, and utensils provided. Going left from the cottage, we walked to the Harris Teeter (with a Starbucks) grocery store in about seven minutes. (You could drive it in less than a minute.) We walked to the beach each morning in about the same amount of time. Denise is a wonderful host and it was a delight to actually meet her and her husband in person as they prepare the gardens for the upcoming season. I wish we could be there when they will be in full bloom. We are grateful to Denise for pointing us to the Red Wing Park and the Japanese garden there. That’s a really special place, especially with the cherry trees blooming. Thank you, Denise for providing us with such a lovely place to stay. I wish we had planned to stay longer. If you’re ever in Charlottesville, looks us up; we’d love to hear from you!

This property is in a perfect location. The beach/boardwalk was a very easy walk, and there were plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Everything else we wanted to try was a short drive. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed. The property has a lot of personality and history, which made staying here extra fun.
