Nestled in Marathon, this attractive house for $170 per night is a great option for your next trip. This half duplex is located on the ocean side of the Keys with a private 37' dock space. Three lots away from the ocean- 600 feet to marked, deep cut channel so you will be in deep water fishing in no time.16' X 10' Above Ground Pool. Two tandem kayaks and two bicycles on site. Clean your catch on the fish cleaning table. Impact windows and doors. New air conditioners. Microwave, glass-top range, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, pots/pans, cookware, toaster, coffee maker, and most importantly a Ninja blender to make those frozen drinks! Barbecue to cook your fresh or to cook up anything you'd like. Enjoy the ocean breeze and views from the dock. Cable and Netflix included. There is plenty of parking for your boat, trailer, and vehicles. Less than 4 miles to Sombrero Beach. The beach has picnic pavilions, a children’s playground, volleyball court, restrooms, and showers. The sandy strip is perfect for sunbathing, snorkeling and fishing in the shallow water. The Marathon Airport was within a block or two. Planes, jets and helicopters fly over the unit all hours of the day and night. It seriously lessened our enjoyment and satisfaction with the unit. A major source of noise like that should be disclosed in the listing.

I don't even know where to begin. Ernie's place was amazing. It was clean, decorated nicely, and had everything we needed. I spent most days and nights on the screened lanai watching my husband fish from the dock. He caught 5 mangrove snapper (enough for dinner) and saw a few tarpon. A couple nights we had a thunderstorm come through and I've never seen a more beautiful night sky light up.
We've been coming down for 9 years and I gotta say, this is one of the best places we've stayed, bar none. Ernie was very responsive and communicated well. Thank you, Ernie, for sharing your little piece of paradise with us. We hope you'll have us again (cause we're already planning our next trip 😉).

The home was wonderful! Perfectly clean with all the possible needs thought of. The pool was so clean and refreshing after a long sunny day. We spent our evenings in linai enjoying the breeze. Could not have found a better place or hosts. Thank you for sharing your home with us - we hope to be back soon and hope 2 Peas in the Keys is available.

Sometimes its the "little" things that set a place apart from the rest. That is certainly the case here. The photos and description are spot on; the place is exactly as described. Very clean and well appointed. And a great location.
The kitchen is well equipped and it was a pleasant surprise to see things like nice usable kitchen knifes and what appeared to be almost new flatware. The screened-in patio adds significant space for relaxing.
The central location for us was also perfect allowing us to do day trips to the Everglades and Key West. And quiet!

As soon as we opened the door and stepped in we relaxed! Ernie’s vacation rental is clean, bright and beautifully decorated, just what you want and need on vacation. Everything is has been provided, he thought of everything, down to a special timed light over the grill. We were very comfortable there and hope to return for longer the next time. Definitely one of our favorite rentals.

As we prepare for a medical journey, we decided to get away for a semi-quite week in the keys. Ernie’s house fit the bill perfectly. What a lucky find. Everything was in top working order and the house was better than expected. Ernie was very responsive to any inquiries we had. If it’s in the cards we will certainly return for a longer period of time.

This place was AMAZIN!! It was very well stocked with everything you need for a getaway in the Keys. Being on a canal and having a dock for the jetski and the boat was so convenient. We loved the setup of the house. The back porch was great to just relax after a long day on the water. Felt like home. We will be coming back to visit again soon.

Great communication with owner!! Super clean and everything you need and more. We chose this one because of the kayaks and bikes! The huge screened in outdoor living space was our favorite. Each night we also enjoyed watching the tarpon swimming by the green light in the canal. Great value!!

Owner/ property manager was great. Went above and beyond for us. The place was as nice or nicer than it looks in the listing. A/C worked great. House was clean and had great lighting inside and out. Had everything needed for a great stay right down to seasoning in the cabinet. We kept our 22ft boat there, water hose and electricity for the dock. Will definitely stay here again. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

The house was VERY clean. Exactly as described. Great water access to ocean. Earnie couldnt have been a better host. He responded every time immediately and always answered my questions. I definitely recommend this property and will be back again and not soon enough!

Great location to visit the Keys-don't wait, just book it!
My husband and I loved our experience at the house! Everything was just as listed, it was very clean and comfortable, and the dock and patio are lovely. We saw a manatee off the dock one day! The neighborhood is quiet and there are lots of great restaurants and shops on Marathon. We really enjoyed Burdine's and the Island Fish Co. Stout's restaurant was only a couple blocks away; we walked there for breakfast twice and it was delish. Try the biscuits & gravy!
From here we went to a few other keys; we went to Key West for one day, it was about an hour and a half from the house. The Ernest Hemingway house museum was well worth it.
We also visited several of the nature parks and trails, including the Curry Hammock State Nature trail which was only a few minutes away; the Crane Point Hammock where we saw the old Florida East Coast Railroad train; the old-seven-mile-bridge where we walked the old train tracks (now a paved walking bridge); and Big Pine Key where we saw little tiny Key Deer and an alligator along the Fred C. Manillo wildlife trail.
Ernie, the owner, was very helpful and welcoming. Don't hesitate, just book this place!
