Birch tree cottage has everything you may need for a stay! Like a home from home. Even down to hot water bottles
This was not our first tome staying and hopefully wont be the last. But you certainly would need a car as although close to Westport its still a drive to town, at only 10 minutes you get the best of both worlds.

We liked everything about this house which was thoughtfully kitted out to provide every comfort - a real home from home - so many surprises inside and outside in the garden that we happily spent a lot of time there - A young family would love the games, the art pencils, the swing and the space to wander through the large garden.
Its not that I didnt like it but it was difficult to actually find the property - need Google maps, or some signage or indicator on the roadside...

The house is in the countryside at the end of a very quiet cul-de-sac...and it is very quiet. Hares wander through the garden which is done up with loving care (and there lots of fairy lights at night!) and kept immaculately. The location is about 10-12 minutes to Westport by car. The house itself is how a country house should be and how air bnb was when it started: it is a family home, not an impersonal hotel room. It is everything it should be, but if a traveller is looking for a city hotel, it is not and it should not be either, it is more than that: it is perfect in its own ways.
Shower is electric and a bit slow.

Spacious,well stocked kitchen , games etc
Poor mattresses, sheets were thread bare minute holes,we found alternative sheets still poor quality, dirty mat in bathroom generally dusty and cobwebs
