We were located right in the middle of the old city. Just two blocks up was all the shopping and restaurants you could ask for, within walking distance of most of the main attractions. Staff were around if you had any issues. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good. We really enjoyed all the little shops, stores and eataries right outside our door!
Just be aware that if you have mobility issues, the rooms are up one or two flights of stairs. Not an issue otherwise!

Couple of minutes walk from Teatro Massimo, 6 minute walk from airport bus stop. Plenty of places to eat and drink close by.
It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in room, I was conscious of not wanting to disturb the other guests when I used the kettle in the shared breakfast room.
