Situated in Stresa, this attractive condo for $197 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. The apartment of 70 sqm, newly renovated with materials and fine finishes, is located in a historic house of great charm in publications in history and architecture of Lake Maggiore and features a large living room with access to the park the villa, open kitchen and an old fireplace, two large bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The apartment has both heating both air conditioning cool / warm. In addition, the property is complete with a beautiful private terrace, furnished with a table and chairs in wrought iron, with a breathtaking view and Borromean Islands. The view enjoyed from the property is so unique and exciting to be among the most photographed views for postcards, posters and guides in the area. Cars can be parked in the designated area of the park of the villa. Near the home, within walking distance, there is a public pool for a fee, on the lake, rooftop infinity pool and beach facilities. The center of Stresa is a two minute drive and a fifteen minute walk through the scenic walk along the elegant pedestrian lake. In the surrounding areas there are many cafes and restaurants for every preference or choice of price. During the summer season, in every tourist resort of Lake Maggiore and, in particular, in Stresa, have made numerous cultural, recreational, gastronomic and entertainment (music, theater, events for children). We’ve had very relaxing stay at the Villa Dora in Stresa. Laura, the owner was very friendly and helpful in getting further information. The Villa is directly placed at the main sea road towards Stresa, which might become at little bit noisy during the weekend. But the view and the location is able to compensate. We would come again.

Diese Woche in der Villa Dora in Stresa war für alle Beteiligten ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Es hat alles gepasst, begonnen mit dem Empfang durch die sehr sympathische Gastgeberin Laura, über die wunderschöne Wohnung in einer einmaligen Villa mit traumhaften Seeblick bis hin zum perfekten Wetter und dem so schönen Stresa.
Gerne werden wir wieder hier herkommen.

Das Objekt ist von außen ein Hingucker und der Garten riesig. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse direkt auf die Isola Bella ist 5 Sterne+. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Spülmaschine sehr klein.

La villa est magnifique le logement et l’environnement parfait . La vue sur le lac et Isola Bella sont un plus , notre hôte a été bienveillante en prenant beaucoup de temps afin de nous expliquer les points d’intérêt touristiques et culinaires.

Die Villa liegt sehr schön auf einem grossen Grundstück mit Parkplatz. Das Appartement in der Villa ist sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Der Blick von der privaten Terrasse auf die Isola Bella ist atemberaubend.
Die Vermieterin Laura ist sehr nett und Hilfsbereit. Sie kann einem gute Tipps für Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten geben.
Wir würden es auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.

C'est la deuxième fois que nous séjournons dans ce petit coin de paradis et c'est toujours le même bonheur. L'accueil de Laura est toujours aussi agréable et la vue sur Isola Bella est toujours aussi fantastique. Tout a été parfait durant notre séjour.

Fabulous Apartment In A Stunning Villa
In a word - faultless.
Communication from the owner was excellent. The apartment was exactly as described, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The electric gates and sweeping driveway up to the villa certainly added to the 'wow' factor.
Villa Dora is divided into several apartments, and during our visit all the others were empty, which added to the feeling we were somewhere very special.
A 5 minute walk takes you to the ferry terminal so exploring Lake Maggiore without the car is easy.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and can't wait to stay there again.

Super freundliche Vermieterin
Laura bzw Lauras Mama haben uns sehr freundlich mit Keksen und einer Flasche Wein empfangen. Der Austausch war immer prompt und unkompliziert. Wir haben der Aufenthalt in der Villa Dora sehr genossen, der große Garten war super für die Kinder zum Toben und der Ausblick auf den See und die Inseln einfach traumhaft.

Fantastisch appartement met een uniek en onvergetelijk uitzicht op het Lago Maggiore en Isola Bella.
Het appartement maakt deel uit van een prachtige, voorname villa uit het begin van de vorige eeuw. Het appartement bevindt zich aan de rechter voorzijde van de villa op de begane grond en bestaat uit een gerieflijk grote slaapkamer, een handige tweede, iets kleinere slaapkamer, een ruime badkamer, een prachtige grote woonkamer met open keuken met alles erop en eraan, en een zeer groot en mooi terras met een prachtig uitzicht op het Lago Maggiore en specifiek op het sprookjesachtige Isola Bella. Met een wandeling van ongeveer twintig minuten komt u bij het vertrekpunt voor de boot naar het Isola Bella en de andere twee Borromeische eilanden - Isola dei Pescatori en Isola Madre - en naar andere plaatsen aan het meer. Met een wandeling van een half uur bent u in het centrum van Stresa. Met de auto bent u er binnen tien minuten en het parkeren is geen probleem (begin juni). Tussen de villa en de lager liggende weg (van Stresa naar Baveno) ligt een prachtig gazon met aan de zijkanten palmen en andere bomen. De trein die door Stresa loopt (naar o.a. Milano) hoor je niet want de spoorlijn bevindt zich in dit gedeelte van Stresa in een tunnel. De auto kan op het eigen terrein worden geparkeerd. Men opent het hek dat het eigen terrein afsluit van de openbare weg comfortabel met een transponder die men krijgt van de eigenaresse. De eigenaresse verwelkomde ons heel erg vriendelijk, zij reageerde ook direct als wij tijdens het verblijf een vraag hadden, en haar toeristische tips waren zeer goed. Er is veel moois te beleven hier: naast de drie genoemde eilanden en Stresa ook bij voorbeeld het park van de Villa Pallavicino, het aan een rotswand hangend klooster Santa Caterina del Sasso, en het schilderachtige plaatsje Orta aan het Lago d'Orta met de indrukwekkende Sacro Monte. Wij hebben intens genoten van het verblijf in dit sublieme appartement en kunnen het dus van harte aanbevelen.

Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with stunning 5* view of the lake from your own private terrace, perfect if you want your own space. About 25 min walk into the centre of town, but cable car and ferry stop only 10 min away. First 7 min along quiet main road, safe in single file, then it's lakefront path all the way. Washing machine very handy, locked outer gates, great shower, comfy beds. Owner Laura was extremely helpful and lovely. Loads to do, Tomassucci Travel trips very good. Taxi to airport 100euro, Alibus cheaper option. Highly recommend!

Toller Ausblick auf den Lago Maggiore und die Isola Bella
Wir haben Ende April eine Woche zu viert in Lauras Appartement verbracht und uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Kontakt zu Laura und die Schlüsselübergabe waren völlig unkompliziert. Laura ist eine sehr nette Vermieterin, die uns mit Wein und Gebäck herzlich in Empfang genommen hat. Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr gut, man hat einen tollen Ausblick auf den See. Die Ortsmitte ist fußläufig oder in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Stresa ist ein ausgesprochen hübscher Ort, von dem aus man viele tolle Ausflüge unternehmen kann (Villa Taranto in Verbania, Fahrt auf den Monte Mottarone, Orta San Giulio, Arona, Schifffahrt zum Kloster Santa Caterina, Borromäische Inseln, ...)
Die Wohnung war ausgesprochen sauber und ist auch mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Wir können einen Aufenthalt in der Villa Dora und in Stresa nur wärmstens empfehlen !

Emplacement exceptionnel
Accueil très chaleureux de Laura et quelle vue exceptionnelle sur Isola Bella et les montagnes environnantes. À part la pluie d’avril, rien à redire sur les quelques jours passés à Stresa. Nous recommandons très fortement la Villa Dora à tous.

L'agencement de l'appartement est impeccable - très propre et avec tout le confort. La vue sur Isola Bella à partir de la terrasse est sublime... on ne s'en est pas lassé, repas après repas :o)

Tolle Villa mit Wohlfühlatmospäre!
Herzliche Vermieterin die uns mit einer Flasche Wein und leckeren Keksen begrüßt hat.
Die FeWo-direkt ist sehr gut ausgestattet ( z.B. Kleine Spülmaschine und geräumiger Kühlschrank mit Tiefkühlfach ). Man hat einen tollen Blick auf die genau gegenüberliegende Isola Belle. Da die Villa ca. 50 m, leicht erhöht, von der Straße zurückgebaut ist, nimmt man den Verkehr kaum wahr. Wir waren zu dem Zeitpunkt alleine da und konnten damit absolute Ruhe genießen.
Einziger kleiner Wermutstropfen: die beiden Fernseher haben nur einen normalen Antennenanschluss und empfangen deshalb keine deutschsprachigen Programme.
Aber trotzdem volle Punktzahl für einen tollen Urlaub. Vielen Dank!

Perfekter Urlaub
Wir habe eine Woche in den Osterferien in der Villa Dora verbracht. Die Lage fanden wir hervorragend. Stresa ist zu Fuss gut zu erreichen, der Gondel und die Schiffe zu den Inseln fahren praktisch vor der Haustür los. Von der Terasse hat man einen tollen Blick auf Isola Bella, vor allem nachts wenn es schön beleuchtet ist. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und unkompliziert. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!!!

Je ne peux que recommander cette location. Vous serez dans un appartement récemment rénové , bien équipé qui fait face au lac Majeur. Le matin, vous prendrez votre petit déjeuner sur la terrasse (à gauche sur la photo) en contemplant les îles bornées. Expérience fabuleuse. Strea est distant de 2 km il faut donc une voiture. Vous accéderez au parc en ouvrant la grille, comme des seigneurs et vous stationnerez votre voiture sur les côtés de ce palais. À ne manquer à aucun prix . Ma plus belle location en Europe depuis 15 ans! De plus la maman de Laura qui nous a accueilli est charmante et pleine de bons conseils. Michel. Montréal, Canada

Sejour exceptionnel
Très gentil accueil de la propriétaire, emplacement magnifique avec vue sur les îles, parking fermé, grand jardin, les chambres étant sur l arrière, c est calme. Appartement propre, pratique, spacieux. Le seul bémol est que pour aller a Stresa il est préférable de prendre sa voiture car il n y a aucun trottoir. Mais je vous recommande cette location.

Séjour parfait dans un cadre de rêve !
Un accueil sympathique et chaleureux avec une hôtesse qui parle un français parfait, une location spacieuse moderne et bien équipée dans un palais, un panorama fantastique depuis la terrasse privative sur les îles Borromées avec une lumière différente chaque jour, un lieu calme et reposant : bref le cocktail des vacances était parfait pour notre famille de 5 personnes. Une adresse à retenir...

Semaine princière!
Location en tous points conforme à nos attentes: l'appartement, situé dans une aile de la magnifique villa, est moderne, bien équipé, confortable, très bien entretenu, lumineux... Et puis, on ne se lasse pas de la vue sur le lac, pile en face de l'isola bella... La villa est située sur une route très passante, entre baveno et stresa. Familles avec enfants, voiture obligatoire pour se déplacer, car une partie de la route est un peu dangereuse. Sinon, laura est d'une grande gentillesse et parle un excellent français! Elle nous a utilement renseignés et nous a accueillis avec une bouteille de vin local et des "margheritine", spécialité locale (c'est malin, on est accros maintenant). Deux petites observations: -il faudrait fixer un rideau sur la porte vitrée de la chambre parentale, pour gagner en intimité.
-la bouilloire fait un peu "jouet"... Mais ce sont là des détails, et nous sommes repartis ravis de notre séjour.

Magnifique appartement situation idéale
Nous avons passé une semaine superbe avec nos trois enfants. La vue sur le palais des Borrommées est extraordinaire. Laura nous a donné beaucoup de conseils justes pour visiter la région. L'appartement est situé dans un très belle villa, meublé à neuf et tout équipé. Une très très bonne adresse à recommander pour une plongée en Italie.

The Villa is a fantastic location for nice holidays at the Lago. With direct view to the Isola Bella and and short walk to Stresa, the Villa Dora is ideally located. The apartement in the charming historic building was in perfect condition and equipped with everything you need. Laura and her famliy made our stay in Stresa a beautiful experience we can everyone recommend the appartement for Holidays at the Lago Maggiore.
