About this cabin rental
Situated in Helen, this attractive cabin for $193 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Alemaigne Haus Cabin is a family built home and is located within the city limits of Helen on 1 and 1/2 acres only a couple of blocks from the Helen Water Park, and the Valhalla Resort. The new Helen to Hardman Hiking Trail is just around the corner. The cabin is a three-minute drive to downtown Helen. You'll love sitting on one of the two covered porches while listening to the sounds of a small creek in the back yard. You might see wild turkeys walking through the yard, and on occasion several deer. The Alemaigne Haus features two large bedrooms upstairs with a king size bed in the master and a queen size bed in the second bedroom, 26" LCD flat screen TV's, and a private full bath in each. The living room has a 55" LCD flat screen TV for your enjoyment and also free WI-FI service is provided. Enjoy a romantic electric log fireplace, a new reclining sofa, and beautiful bamboo hardwood floors. You'll also enjoy the sunroom with large picturesque windows with a beautiful view of the forest out back. The sunroom and all bathrooms have ceramic tile floors. There's also a sitting room with a 32" flat screen LED TV with a PlayStation 2 for the kids to enjoy. Have your morning cup of coffee at the breakfast island in the beautiful fully equipped kitchen. There's also a large full bath with a double vanity and a separate laundry room on the main level. We provide laundry detergent and fabric softner sheets. If you want the feeling of seclusion, but want to be close to all of Helen's activities, then this is the place for you. An outside camera is in place on the front and side porches facing the driveway for your protection and ours. The cabin is a mile from downtown Helen, and has paved road access. Some of our guests like walking to town, which takes approximately 15 or 20 minutes, or if you prefer to drive, it takes only three minutes and there's an all-day parking lot in town. Stay at our cabin and you'll be glad you did. We hope that you will come again and again! Privately Owned: This cabin is privately owned and managed. As owners, we want every guest to be as comfortable as possible and to enjoy their stay. We also provide maps, a travel guide, flyers of local attractions, and local restaurant menus for your convenience. We are never too far away if needed. Unlike property management companies, we take pride in our cabin, provide personal touches, and we want our guests to enjoy it as much as we do. We have a maximum stay limit of 14 nights. CANCELLATIONS – A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty, and will receive 100% refund of all payments. Cancellations that are made more than fourteen (14) days, but less than 30, prior to the arrival date will incur a 50% penalty of the advance rent payment. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made less than 14 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance rent payment. Late arrivals, early departures, or no shows do not warrant any refund of rent. We highly recommend that you purchase traveler’s insurance. Stayed here for two nights early January. Cabin was spotlessly clean and perfect for our needs. It is spacious and very nicely appointed. Hosts were easy to communicate with and accommodating.
As other reviews noted, the owners have provided an incredible amount of supplies (in kitchen, bathrooms,etc.) that many places don't...they kind of have thought of everything which is very nice. Lots of brochures for area attractions, restaurant menus, etc. The attention to detail by the owners is impressive!
The location of the cabin is very near to downtown Helen. In the warmer months we might have walked but it's only about a 2 minute drive. In spite of being so near to town, the cabin is in a very quiet wooded area and very peaceful.
I've stayed at several other VRBO properties and I think this one has been the best. Will stay here again in the future. Highly recommended !

My bestie and I wanted to go somewhere for Christmas week and we could not have picked a better place! This cabin was PERFECT! It's location is a short walk to town but far enough away that it was peaceful and quiet sitting on the deck. The house itself is VERY clean and beautifully decorated. The wood burning fireplace was a treat and we used it every night! The kitchen is fully equipped and was a pleasure to cook in. It was just me and my friend but there is plenty of room to spread out if there are more people in your group. Nice bedrooms with comfy beds and large closets. Terry and Gary have thought of everything you could possibly need and were very friendly. If you are visiting Helen GA, I highly recommend this cabin! Thank you Terry and Gary, it was a pleasure to stay here and we are looking forward to coming back!

Throughout the years we usually stay in a rental type of property for a vacation a few times a year. I have to say that this home is at the top of my list of all the rental properties I've stayed at. It was comfortable and charming, clean and complete with all the amenities and then some. We stayed during Thanksgiving, and the kitchen was so stocked that I feel like we could have cooked Thanksgiving dinner there. The nice touches to make it feel like home were extra blankets, the beautiful decor, even nightlights in the bathrooms. The beds were beyond comfortable, and they even went above and beyond to have two different types of coffee makers, along with sparing no expense for the soft toilet paper!
The ease of checking in was perfect and the owners were available, very kind, and accommodating.
Thank you for having such a beautiful home in such a beautiful setting to share! We will be back!

The cabin was even more beautiful in person than the pictures showed. The owners were amazing and very responsive. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I would definitely stay there again. It was very convenient to get to town and we even saw a deer in back of the cabin.

Terry/Gary supply everything you could possibly need for entertaining and relaxing inside as well as outside, and everything is supplied for cooking and serving.
I highly recommend.
We are looking forward to our trip to this cabin again, even though March is not the best time of year for Helen Ga. but if you want a quite relaxing time, March is perfect.

This is the second time we have stayed here. It is a very nice, very well stocked and equipped and exceedingly clean cabin. It is close to downtown and very convenient to the surrounding area. We cooked several times in the cabin and it contained a variety of supplies to use. All we had to provide was the food itself. We will definitely stay again.

WOW!! Great property, incredible views and wonderful memories
The picture of the property is what drew me to it. They do not do the house and surrounding property justice. Beautiful mountain views, a peaceful creek on the backside and no city lights! We really enjoyed it! It felt like we were staying with a family member at their home. Great feel and the owners are very helpful and accommodating. We are looking forward to our next stay at the Alemaigne Haus Cabin!! Thanks for the memories!!
