The owner was very responsive and came round when I was at work during the day to look at the TV remote which didn't work. She came back in the evening with a new remote with new batteries and showed me how to use it to ensure it connected as the TV is quite high up on the wall. It was fine after that. The shared kitchen/sitting room facility was good for a bit of light cooking after work with pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and even a dishwasher provided, as well as cloths and washing up liquid if you prefer. It also had a breakfast bar to eat at and a TV to watch while eating.
The owner had kindly allocated me a room with integrated en-suite (rather than a bathroom on the landing) as I was travelling alone and that was much appreciated, but the room was on the ground floor onto the street and it was a bit noisy at night and disconcerting to have people walking right past the headboard when I was in bed.
