The Lowtide Motel

Very comfortable and clean.

I loved everything about my stay at the Lowtide. The owners, Dan and Jeannie, are absolutely amazing people. I felt at home while staying here. The rooms are so thoughtfully curated and comforting. Each room has its very own finishing touch. I will recommend this establishment every single time. I will be staying here every time I am traveling to the coast.

I liked the toaster, the double recliner, and the bathroom door made me laugh, cause it was a barn door instead of a pocket door( room#8). Previous customers left sandollers & other beach 'treasure' next to the entrance for me to look at. Very quiet & peaceful for my 4 day stay. I was visited by a crow, & fed it some unsalted mixed nuts. I'm over weight,67, and could manage the walk to the beach. The beach wasn't overcrowded. Everyone gets to park right in front of their own rooms. If you walk to the store you might hear doves . over all happy camper.

It was a nice, central stopping location on our trip around the Olympic Peninsula. It was private and a short hike to the beach.

The facility is very run-down and has not been updated nor well-maintained. Partially because of Covid and the overall look of the place, we set about cleaning with wipes and paper towels. The TV was tiny and in a place where a family could not watch it together. We didn't feel comfortable using the shower given its appearance. The craziest thing was that when I went to check in, the man and woman (who I think were married), were screaming obscenities at each other until I tapped the bell and then the woman came forward with a smile and big "how do you do"...I was shocked but also had to keep myself from laughing out loud. Thankfully, my teen son was in the car and didn't hear this interaction.
