There is also a Target. BestBuy and a good selection of chain restaurants. If you are not a Costco or Sam’s Club member, there is a Meijer Supermarket at the corner of Joslyn and Brown Roads, near the Target. This house is near the M1 Concourse (3.1 miles), a new private race track with many public events open Spring – Fall. Check online at www.m1concourse.com “ Great Lakes Crossing ” is a huge, upscale outlet mall nearby. There are 185 manufacturer’s outlets, a 25-screen AMC Star Movie Theater, Legoland Discovery Center and Sea Life Michigan Aquarium , food court and restaurants. On the other side of the freeway is another Costco and a Sam’s Club . Also nearby in Clarkston is the DTE Energy Music Theater , featuring major national acts. It has a large, outdoor amphitheater with a covered pavilion and lawn seating. In the winter, there is skiing at Pine Nob. This home was as pictured, enough room for 5 of us. The bathrooms were a little small, but overall, the house was much more spacious than a hotel room. The neighborhood was fairly quite, and close to shopping, eating, etc.

We were working in the Detroit metro area for a few days and also had a wedding to attend. Our rental owner was a great communicator and the house had everything we needed. It was also on a dead end street so very little traffic. The wi-fi was great, kitchen had all we needed, two bathrooms and three clean and bright bedrooms. Thank you!

With our group of two families, this worked out great. The location was only 10 min from our other family which helped a lot. It was a nice clean home and Shelly was very helpful when there were questions.

The property was very clean, the neighborhood was quiet and the host was pleasant and helpful. I read an earlier review that stated there where no clocks but I really never noticed that since I use my phone for the time. There weren't televisions in the bedrooms but after a long day out celebrating, we just wanted a shower and clean beds. The pipe froze in the downstairs bath and in minutes Shelly had maintenance there and everything up and running. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely rebook this listing.

Unfortunately, the house left a lot to be desired! There wasn't a single working clock in the house, there was only 1 TV in the entire house (none in the Master BR), no alarm clocks in the house, and the lamp in the upstairs Master BR didn't work. Also, there were no towels, linens, or bath tissue in the upstairs Master BR, so if we needed anything, we had to go downstairs. Also, none of the towels matched in the house, and there was no new bar soap in the house, only used bar soap downstairs. Also, only used bottles of Shampoo and conditioner were in the bathrooms. Overall, the house left a lot to be desired. I would not stay there again.

It was an family emergency that brought us to the area in May, so we needed a place that was a convenient location to and from St. Joseph hospital, Pontiac. I had grown up not too far away from and already knew the area in which we were looking to stay. This home was very big, clean, located on a decently quiet street and had everything we needed, plus more. The renters were very easy to contact and work with, they also were willing to work with us and hold the property incase we needed additional night or two. Ultimately, though it was a stressful time, it was a good experience and if we ever need to be in the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to call and book with them once more.

We stayed for the weekend to visit friends and museums. The location was quite convenient to get to Detroit or its suburbs, yet in a quiet neighborhood. The house has been kept clean,cozy, and the beds are comfortable, good for a family of 4-6 as long as two could share the same bed . The manager was very responsive and tended to any questions or requests we had. Thanks, The Bijou.
