About this cottage rental

Located in Temecula, this lovely cottage for $275 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Namaste Farms farm stays are educational and operated under a 501c3 dedicated to the preservation of agriculture and fiber arts. You’re support is greatly appreciated. Namaste Farms Main cottage is only 1/2 a mile from the city limits, it has a rural feel and is centrally located to all wineries and most of the major equestrian facilities including Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all within 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, and if you want to peruse all of them, we can arrange a driver for you (28.00/hour) who will drive (Audi or Mercedes) and take you anywhere within Temecula/Murrieta while happily waiting for you so you can quickly go to your next destination. If you're not interested in any of the above activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. At night, can enjoy the sounds of serenity (which includes farm animal vocalizations) while roasting marshmallows at our wine barrel fire pit! This booking is for the main cottage which is upscale and comfortable. It includes a kitchenette, and charmingly rustic bathroom and galvanized steel shower. The main cottage also contains the loft (entered via a ladder) so please tell us if you prefer not to sleep in the loft we must know ahead of time so so we can make up a beautifully adorned ground floor bed. This is a bit of production, so once again, we need to know ahead of time. Also, to keep costs down for single travelers, the listed price is for the first person. Each additional person is charged a fee. To prevent additional charges upon arrival, please put the accurate number of people in the reservation. We encourage guests to feel at home and enjoy the peaceful farm environment which extends beyond the cottage. If you have more guests in your group, please check out the Hay Barn cottage in a separate listing: https://www.vrbo.com/1461531 If you like hanging out on the farm, we welcome you to explore. There is a communal area with a fire pit, grill and patio furniture to hang out while roasting marshmallows or simply sit and enjoy the musings of sheep, goats, horses, peacocks et al... We encourage guests to feel at home and enjoy the peaceful farm environment which extends beyond the cottage. We are dog friendly, but to keep our free range animals safe (and we have had them injured or killed by people not recognizing that dogs are predatory by nature), please keep your dog easily under control and on a short leash at all times. Also, because it's not possible to control your dog on a long line, dogs may NOT be tied or tethered anywhere on the property. In addition, for the sake of the antique furniture and our hand crafted door, do not leave your dog alone in the cottage unless they are crate trained and in a crate. If you need to leave your NON-barking dog here, occasionally we have a bedded stall we put your four legged friend in. Also, If you want to let your dog off leash, about 2 blocks down the dirt road (off property), there is a large scrub field where you can let your dog run free. Please keep in mind that we are not a "pretend farm" set up so that we can simply attract people to our facility. This is an actual working farm where shepherdess, Natalie Redding (Nat Geo Wild's, Shear Madness) and her working dogs, Lacey, Lad and Nesta work every day. This means there is dirt, dust, chickens, peacocks, alfalfa, sheep, bugs, and other living beings associated with nature and farm life. People who've not had the opportunity to experience the beautiful and grounding life on a working farm may not understand this. I do stress that if you're an animal lover who is excited about staying at a true working farm, your co-guests may not share your verve. Please let them know there is dirt, dust, very little concrete or pavement, and they will surely leave with dust on their shoes. That said, I'm a frequent Louboutin wearer and I regularly chassé in my stilettos; dirt ground and all. We ask that when you're booking, you please put the accurate number of guests. While the first guest stays for the per/night price there is an additional fee per person after the first. Once again, if you need more room, you can book the other cottage at https://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p7391634?utm_source=direct&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=earned:homeaway:sharecopylink:USA&utm_content=7391634

Surprised my wife with a trip to Temecula and found this lovely spot on a working farm. We both loved the atmosphere and the experience around the animals was incredible. The hosts were fantastic. Definitely recommend for an animal lover getaway or a cottage stay located close to every attraction/activity in the greater valley.

Namaste is a true escape from city or suburban life--filled with choirs of animals and birds--all day and night. We were treated with many newborn lambs trying to get their footing, friendly cats and dogs, and lots of farm animals running toward you to get fed. Totally recommend a stay in the main cottage, very sweet retreat.

The cabin was quaint, lovely and comfortable. Our twin 8 year olds boys did not want to leave. This is a great, local escape for city folks. We picked up apples to feed the mini-cow Lucy and friendly horse. We fed grain to turkeys, geese, and sheep. The owner Sean and a couple of peacocks met us upon arrival and showed us around. The kids climbed on trees and ran around getting dirty like kids used to do. We drank wine and rode horses at a nearby vinyard. Downtown Temecula had lively outdoor dining. We highly recomend a couple of days at Namaste farms. Thanks Sean!

Wonderful stay at this property. So cool watching the workings of this farm and Natalie is a gracious host. She ensured our accommodations were comfortable and inviting. She also shares fascinating information about the intricacies, details, etc. of the operations of the farm. It was a delight to stay in the cottage and interact with the animals!
