Fantástica estancia

Es un apartamento fantástico dentro de un hotel Mélia. Las llaves las facilitan en la recepción del hotel y puedes hacer uso de las instalaciones del mismo. El hotel queda un poco alejado de la ciudad pero puedes alquilar un coche, moto o desplazarte con taxi hasta la ciudad, siempre hay taxis en la puerta. ¡Recuerda hablar el precio antes con los taxistas! Estuvimos en todo momento en contacto con la empresa que gestiona el apartamento porque cualquier cosa que surge el hotel no se hace responsable. Tuvimos un problema con el agua caliente y vinieron enseguida a arreglarlo. Estuvimos una semana (de domingo a domingo) y el jueves vinieron a hacernos el apartamento, pero en él mismo tienes toallas, sábanas y productos de limpieza suficientes. La cocina cuenta con todos los utensilios necesarios para la estancia y relativamente cerca hay un supermercado. Estuvimos muy bien y esperamos poder regresar pronto.

Tal vez, por sacar alguna pega, es que el apartamento no dispone de wifi propio, depende del wifi del hotel y no funciona muy bien, sólo puedes utilizarlo en las zonas comunes.

nice apartment to stay !

Big apartment . 2 bedrooms, one with king size bed and another with two single beds. very good terrace . inside a big luxurious complex with pools, restaurants and bars.

the contact with the host was awful. long time to respond. both TVs are damaged .

We had a wonderful time and would love to return!

It wasn't clear on booking or by the address we were provided with but this a privately owned 2 bedroom apartment at the all-inclusive Melia Tortuga Resort and Spa on Ponta Preta beach. The resort is situated 30-45 mins walk or a 4 euro taxi ride from the centre of Santa Maria with its numerous restaurants, gift shops and supermarkets, bike hire, jet skis etc. There are always taxis waiting outside the hotel. The taxi price from the hotel to the airport was 20Euros. Check in and key collection is at the resort reception and we were able to use all the general hotel facilities (pools, sunbeds, exercise classes, excursion booking service, free morning coach to Santa Maria etc.) It was possible pay for meals/drinks at the resort if we wanted but given the amazing food available in Santa Maria we didn't bother (Cafe Criolo, Simple Bar & Grill, Leonardo's and Palm Beach all highly recommended). The apartment is on the 1st floor and has a spacious living room, a good sized balcony and a very well equipped kitchen. There is even a washing machine. The main double bedroom and living room have air conditioning. The bathroom has a decent shower. We stayed for a week and the apartment wasn't cleaned while we were there but there was plenty of spare linen and extra towels. The beach is incredible, the waves can be huge but there is a sheltered harbour area for swimming which has a lifeguard. The waters at Santa Maria Beach are calmer. We really enjoyed the apartment and felt it was great value for money. We would definitely book again.

There are mosquitos so windows need to be closed at night- It would have been good to have air con or a fan in the second bedroom or mosquito nets at the windows. There was spray provided in the apartment. A management company collects the rental fee for the flat. This was quite disorganised. I think they assumed I would be paying cash whilst I assumed I was paying by card. It took until just before we left for the airport for a card machine to be found and payment made. I would suggest messaging them via booking.com and organising how and when you will pay.

To sum up our holiday, this was one of the beat ones and we will surely go back!

The apartment is located in a Hotel and Spa Complex, walking distance from the long and clean sandy beach; and next to one of the pools. Since it is part of the Hotel, everything is available from pool to restaurants and bars and the prices are affordable. The apartment is very cosy for even 4 persons, although we were just two of us. The kitchen is fully fitted, in case you want to cook something, you can. Toaster, hand mixer, microwave, oven, etc... everything is available. The terrace is large.

It would have been great if there are mosquito nets on the windows and terrace door since we spent some time during the evening to get rid of them. Also, there were many ants in the apartment, even though we cleaned up the floor every day. Also, internet connection is only available at the reception, by the pool and at the beachfront restaurant.

Almost everything was perfect. Pools and beach and bars were amasing

Communication with host was very bad. Payment process was terrible and only cash. Pan and oven are very old. Termites
