The accommodation is right in the centre of Aix-en-Provence and you need approximately 10 minutes from the train station. Supermarket is around the corner and good restaurants as well. The studio has air-conditioning and a small kitchen with the essential things. There is a little porch you share with your neighbours. If you want you can sit together and share your traveling experiences. Even though you have air-conditioning, the studio is in a kinda backyard and it was never in direct sunlight, which is something I needed after such hot weather (36 °C).

The studio doesn't have a door for the bath, only a curtain. So if you book it for two you might elaborate if you that close to each other 😉 We had three power losses in less than 24 hours. I don't know if it was something that was planned because of construction or something else. We had to call the owner to get instructions how to get in the property as we didn't receive any email beforehand. The neighbors (the ones above) were a little loud and played some louder music after 10 pm.

The modern renovation of part of an old building was well done. The mattress and bedding was very comfortable.

The steep, stone, spiral staircase needed a handrail to make it safe. The door to the flat which opened onto a courtyard shared by another flat would not lock and so was insecure.

The location is very good: very close to the vieille ville, and there are private parking (it’s a closed street, so notice that you won’t find public parking there), supermarket, restaurants, bakeries, and drugstores nearby. The owner was also kind and helpful when I texted her. Besides that, the apartment is good size and has a well equipped kitchen.

The main door of the apartment doesn’t lock. And there is another apartment at the same space, which is also for rent. Although nothing happened to my things, I got worried every time I went out. Besides that, the apartment was superficial cleaned. The toilet bowl was dirty deep inside, and shower smells bad after water goes down (I guess the drain system needs some maintenance). Also is an old building, and you might find some musty odor inside. This combination resulted in a sinusitis and I had to buy some medicine to be ok.

Great location in the heart of old Aix. Tiny patio, which you share with another studio. Very clean.

it was not cleaned good, it literally had no bathroom door just a curtain so there was no privacy. it was on the ground floor so there was no light
