About this house rental
Located in Sololá Department, this charming house for $300 per night is a great option for your next trip. Casa Tzampoc is nestled on a hill overlooking the 3 volcanos that created Lake Atitlan. It is situated between the Mayan villages of Santa Catarina Palopo and San Antonio Palopo and next to two of the most prestigious boutique hotels on the lake. Restaurants and fabulous shopping for local crafts are located minutes away in authentic Mayan villages and the larger town of Panajachel. The house is furnished exclusively with antique and hand made furniture, local textiles, ceramics and crafts. The kitchen is fully equipped for a gourmet cook, which can be arranged. The interior space is separated by an atrium and stairs to private bedroom and bathroom areas. There are views of the volcanos and outside areas from every room through beautiful mahogany windows and doors. The private swimming pool, nestled in the garden, is heated by solar panels and maintained every day by Nicholas, our houseman. The house is beautifully kept every morning by Suli, our maid. Check-in process was easy. Property Manager was very prompt in responding to all our queries and helped us in providing all the required information. Place was clean and well maintained. We all enjoyed our stay.

The Lake Atitlan house was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Daniel, our concierge, was very helpful and Teresa was very sweet and did a great job cleaning for us.
We were unable to drive our Van Rental up the steep hill, but, Ramiro always provided prompt, safe and courteous rides up and down whenever needed. The view was spectacular! And we enjoyed every minute of our stay!

The host Daniel is so attentive to the guest with super fast response times via WhatsApp. He literally got back to me within a couple mins regarding any request we had. The staff was so kind and kept the house clean. The staffs chefs all cooked amazing food. This house is just as beautiful as depicted in the photos.

We stayed in a lot of hotels and a lot of houses in our week trip. This was hands down the most beautiful, luxurious house we stayed at. The services were amazing as well. We had a private Chef and private masseuse come to the house. We were a little under the weather and had to cancel our private boat trip but the concierge was extremally helpful and coordinated everything over whats app. He even had the private chef cook us some chicken noodle soup which was soooo amazing. I only wish I had booked more days and had more time to experience the area.

The views from this property are breathtaking and peaceful and would have been sufficient, by themselves, to make this one of our most treasured vacations. In addition the staff were spectacular and the home is filled with beautiful Guatemalan art and textiles. Thanks for the lovely respite!!

It was a very pleasant stay. we chose to have the chef prepare our meals, they were good and timely. All staff was very polite and accommodating. I rented the house as a surprise form my mothers birthday, she loved it, was ready to extend the stay lol.

From the beginning till the end Abner and staff were very communicative and accommodating. It was my birthday and they helped to facilitate all of our excursions and trips.
My only gripe would be the bedding. At the end of our well stay my hip was hurting from the mattresses. I would suggest going new mattresses.

My husband and I and our teen son and daughter had the pleasure of staying at Casa Tzampoc for 3 nights and everything was perfect! Better than we expected. Daniel helped us have food upon arrival, Nico welcomed us and the staff at the Hotel Tzampoc next door brought us “room service”. We had a fire in the chiminea. The views are unparalleled and the sound of birds in the morning was lovely. There literally wasn’t one thing we wanted for. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back! Book it, you won’t be disappointed!!

This is the best place by far that we stayed in Guatemala and Lake Atitlan. Beautiful, spacious, quiet and excellent service. If you are a family looking to have a wonderful home base for a trip to Lake Atitlan there is nothing better.
There is the option for massages, meals prepared by a chef, and grocery shopping by the concierge service. Laundry service and cleaning service included. I hope to return to with my family!

I was very happy to stay in this place with my family. The views are amazing! You can really relax and feel calm. At night you can see the sky full of stars and breathe nature. Daniel was very helpful in verifying all the logistics from transportation to having 2 dinners and a breakfast prepared at the house (the food was amazing). Nicholas was always ensuring every need was taken care of in a timely fashion. A trip highlight at Lake Atitlan for all of us.

Our stay was magical! The views are to die for and the house beautiful. The property manager Daniel and caretaker Nicolas were awesome and so kind to us. Highly recommend hiring a chef through Daniel to cook breakfast and dinner in the house for you! The hotel restaurant next door was also delicious and will bring meals to the house. Can't wait to go back!

House was a perfect choice to visit Lake Atitlan for the first time! They offered many amenities and very responsive With our needs. After visiting the other towns, I can say the location of the property offers the best view. You can see all three volcanos from the house. Daniel, David & Nicholas were all very helpful.

We booked this property primarily for the pool, however, when we got there (literally as we walked through the door) we were told that it was under repair and there was a huge piece of black plastic over it. Not only was it ugly and a huge disappointment but we have small children so a huge safety issue. We were given a 30% discount and arrangements were made for us to use the pool at the property next door (we had to negotiate this 30%- they were offering 15%). The house is beautiful but needs significant upkeep- the outside cushions and wore out/ripped (as an example). Considering the price, this is also a huge disappointment. The house is also part of a larger complex/mini-neighborhood which can get quite loud. Lastly, there were several instances of people coming onto the property and into the house (including the owner Barry) completely unannounced to take photos or pickup items. I have never rented a property in which that has occurred without prior arrangements. The staff taking care of the house (Nico and Teresa) were wonderful but communication with the property manager (Gabriel) was quite difficult. Flavio- the new property manager- was better however, failed to mention anything about the pool being out of commission until we got to the house (it was being retiled therefore not an unforeseen event). Unfortunately, we were expecting something a bit more upscale and this fell short on several fronts.

Truly amazing views
The house is extremely well situated - reason for having that fearing access road-. Both Nicolas and Teresa (housekeepers) do their outmost posible to make the guests feel at home and welcomed. The kitchen & tools together with the pool and terrace could use some refurbishment. For the rest, the house is beautiful and the view is a true dream.

What a magical place! We enjoyed our stay greatly. The views were unreal. We were also intimidated by the driveway but what a rush once you reach the top! Having Gustavo guide us helped us feel confident. The kids didn’t want to leave!

WOW.....one word (Breathtaking)!!! That's how beautiful the house is and my family that lives in Guatemala, never had a more wonderful experience in their own country then the one we had. Stunning views, beautiful and cozy property
Great view and location. Nicolas and Teresa were fantastic help. And the cooks Manuela and her husband were amazing. The dinner they cooked was delicious.
Should advise renters about the steep and scary drive up to the house. Doesn’t make it easy to go out to town at night.
Pool not hot at all so that shouldn’t be advertised as such. Should pay more attention to the toilet paper and water consumption. We ran out of both and had to call Nicolas. Kitchen was quite dirty, had bottles with liquids inside which were unidentifiable.
We brought our pet and it had lots of fun too, since the garden and outside sitting areas are very comfortable and spacious. The fireplace was great, we used it both nights.

Great experiece!
The house was absolutely beautiful and well maintained! The view was spectacular! Everyone that helped and greeted us while we stayed at the house made us feel, both, comfortable and relaxed while we were there. Please let Gabriel know how grateful we are for his help in guiding us to the house, getting up the driveway, helping us bring the luggage in, and for giving us a tour of the residence. Also, Thank you Nocholas for helping us unload our luggage, the fantastic conversations, and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect. Again, thank you all for such a phenomenal experience en La Casa!
