Exceptional

Just back home after 12 night stay at this property as a group of 3. It was our first stay with Placida Mar and definitely not the last one. The bungalow is well kept, clean and has everything you could possibly need on your holidays. The kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfortable (with linen and towels provided) and there is more than enough space to accommodate 4 people. It’s the last bungalow in the row, so the outside area is bigger than the rest. There is a patio with a large table, chairs and retractable awning above them for the sunny days. There are also 4 loungers for private use. There are a few shared pool areas in the complex which we found empty most of the time. The whole complex has just been treated for insects so we didn’t have any unexpected ‘guests’ inside or out during our stay. The hospitality we have received from the owners was the cherry on top of our holiday- hands down 5* service. They made us feel welcome, provided airport transfers and tips where to eat and what to do. Patricia and Simone- thanks again for the great stay we’ve had and hopefully see you again very soon!

We fully enjoyed our stay at Santa Barbara by Placida Mar In Playa del Ingles and hope to return.

Everything about the bungalow was excellent, it was clean, comfortable and in a great position.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

would not hesitate to rebook.

great location for seeing my family who live opposite.

a little basic in crockery, could do with a few more items, eg: bowls for nibbles a better selection of glasses and maybe some storage boxes. Also the smaller bedroom needs a blind at the window, the light shines in all night.

nope not again!

location is great and outside space is nice

upon arriving the TV didn't work and the host had to come work it out for 20 mins, only German tv channels and a handful of Spanish ones. then AC didn't work, he comes says turn the power off for 1 hour after I told the error code means it needs gas, he says thats what the technician told him to do, next day he says I can bring a fan, then finally the tech comes and fixes it, puts gas, water boiler didn't work and made the power go off, ants everyday no mater how much I sprayed , small spiders everywhere that of course I killed. i expect to go somewhere and not see the host everyday for the first 4 days. the beds are uncomfortable, lastly I asked to stay 1 extra hour but he said no after all that he says no.. will not stay again here!

Very good

The bungalow is an end terrace which was nice - your not too close to the pool that you can hear everything. Lovely private garden and plenty of sun/shade areas with sun loungers and table/chairs. Inside was very clean (we also had a mid-holiday clean with fresh sheets, towels & TP). Everything you need in the kitchen to make a cooked meal. There's an iron and small ironing board if needed and also a hair dryer in the bathroom.

The couple of negatives would be the AC which didn't seem to be very cool (low of 16c) possible needs re-gassing but we found it was cool enough with the windows open. Also not really a negative but you may hear the fridge/freezer making a loud noise - just give the doors a good squeeze shut and it'll stop. Finally - the neighbours dog barks quite a lot, unfortunately there's not much you can about that.

Exceptional

Communication was 1st class and clear. Patrizia was waiting for us at the gate and showed us the bungalow and its features. She made us feel really welcome. As did Simone. We had a small problem with the safe, but one phone call and Simone came and fixed the issue, quickly and without fuss. The bungalow itself is as you see in the pictures. It's clean and has great WiFi. Nice patio and sunbeds to lay out on in the garden. 5 mins walk from Yumbo and supermarkets. Really good bungalow for the price, even better if there are 4 sharing, as has 2 bedrooms.

Nothing not to like, all good.

great week in the hot winter sun in a fantastic bungalow

excellent bungalow,location near to Yumbo,yet quiet secure complex with pools.Everything you need in the kitchen,towels provided,if you needed clean ones they were delivered within hours,Simon and Patrizia were friendly and were so welcoming,we had a return airport transfer with them also,2 bottles of Prosecco and some water in the fridge for us when we arrived,Simon offered to take us the the supermarket to get our food,the service from them was excellent.

Perfect pre Christmas sunny break

The hosts were very accommodating and when we had a problem with the WIFI they came to fix it straight away. Plenty of restaurants/bars nearby and the beach is 10 to 15 minutes walk. we took advantage of the airport transfer which was a good price and and a smooth quick transit . The bungalow had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay , all in all very good value for money and we would definitely stay again .

Wonderful holiday home, very central

The host, Patrizia, was lovely, and although there was a slight language barrier (Italian/English) Patrizia communicated well with us on arrival & departure at the bungalow. We loved the bungalow & felt very at home there! It is very spacious, with a large kitchen/lounge & 2 bedrooms. The sofa was very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped, including a large fridge/freezer. The outside terrace was a fabulous sun trap, with table, chairs & sunshade, and the wrap around garden gave sun or shade for anytime of day! The complex itself is well kept (maintenance is being made on the 5 pools, we understand) and quiet, with access from either the main gate or via a gate very close to the bungalow, which was a great convenience for us for easy access to either the Yumbo Center or beach. This bungalow is the ideal accommodation for either a short holiday or winter break - the addition of air conditioning & a washing machine would make it perfect!

The bed was a bit hard for my liking, but that is a personal thing. The pillows were very good though. The open 'chimney' vent above the shower made the bathroom chilly for the first few days - however, I'm sure that during the hot seasons this vent is welcome! On arrival it was quite cold at night and as there is only a small portable heater it was difficult to get warm. However, the weather improved and heating was not needed after the first few days! (As there is no aircon, heat or cold may be an issue at certain times of the year?!) The outside loungers were very dirty (as were those at the pools) and unusable in their current condition, but only require cleaning!
