About this cottage rental
Nestled in Kiawah Island, this attractive cottage for $230 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. The beautiful island of Kiawah is located 20 miles south of the historic and beautiful city of Charleston, S.C. Here is information on renting our 1,400 square foot 3 BR cottage. We rent weekly with Only SATURDAY to SATURDAY check in/out. We have availability year round and with various rates. Cottage is pet friendly but you must list pet on your rental request for approval and pay a pet deposit. Our Sparrow Pond Cottage is located at 1026 Scaup Court in Kiawah's West Beach overlooking lush maritime woods with many deer and birds to watch. The cottage location is excellent! It is on a private Cul de Sac with the beach, Sparrow Pond Pool, KI Resort Convention Center, Cougar Point Golf Course & Clubhouse restaurants a short walk away. FREE use of Sparrow Pond Community Pool and Bath house which is located on the way to beach access on Duneside Road. Only pool on the Island that is not owned by the Resort and is free to guests staying in Sparrow Pond Cottages. This 3 BR cottage sleeps maximum of eight by utilizing the queen sleeper in the family room. There are 2 full renovated Baths. The master bedroom, equipped with a queen size bed overlooks the woods and opens onto the deck and has an adjoining bath - also has Smart TV. Guest bedrooms - one has queen size bed and other twin beds. Living room has fireplace and Smart TV with U Tube Streaming Service. Family room opens to a screened porch which has a wicker seating group. Updated kitchen with granite countertops. Kitchen is fully equipped with a self-cleaning oven, microwave, refrigerator, disposal, coffee maker, toaster, etc. and all the kitchen utensils you will need. Hardwood floors throughout the home. There is a separate laundry room with washer and dryer. Outside shower is also available. There is a wrap around deck on the side and front of the cottage. Side deck has wrought iron patio table and chairs and lounge chairs making a perfect setting for meals and relaxing. Front Deck /Porch has swing from which you can hear the surf most of the time. Gate is located at entrance to front deck/porch that is lockable for your kids and pet safety. Sheltered parking for 2 vehicles beneath the unit. Maximum Parking allowed for 3 vehicles. Charcoal grill provided for downstairs use only. Gas grill on upstairs deck. The cottage has central air conditioning, and there are also ceiling fans in all the rooms. Linens and beach towels and chairs are provided. Provide for Children upon your request:,High chair, Pack and Play with sheets, bed rail. Weeks that include Holidays have special rates. Our cottage is equipped to make your stay pure pleasure. Come and enjoy your holiday in an environment of casual good taste. For your pleasure and ours, our cottage is a no smoking home. On the short walk to the beach Boardwalk 1 you will pass the swimming pool for Sparrow Pond Cottages which is Free to guests of our cottage. Only pool on the Island not owned by the Resort. To use other pools you have to be staying with the Resort. Beach activities, biking - 30 miles of paved bike paths and also can ride bikes on beach, hiking, swimming, golf, tennis, fishing, crabbing, boat rentals, kayak and canoe rentals, wildlife viewing, birding, shopping, restaurants, museums, sightseeing tours, swimming, snorkeling/diving, sailing, surfing, windsurfing, shelling, Night Heron Park - soccer fields, basketball courts, Nature Center, Kamp Kiawah for Kids, Cookouts, Ice Cream Socials, and horse back riding available at nearby Seabrook Island. We can recommend Bike Company that will deliver bikes for rental at reasonable rate Maximum occupancy per town license is 8. Maximum number of parking spaces in driveway is 3. Access to the beach with just a five minute walk to watch the sunrise each morning and pet friendly are my priorities. This property met both those requirements. Plus having friendly, helpful owners is the cherry on the top. On top of that, having volunteers on the beach where the dolphins typically strand feed to answer any questions, makes the Kiawah location go above and beyond.

We enjoyed our time on Kiawah. The house was conveniently located and gave plenty of room for our family of 5. We enjoyed working with the owners who were responsive and helpful and allowed us to make a last minute change and bring our small dog. We appreciated the communication that we could get in a little early as well. Minor improvements could be made to cleanliness of the back porch and kitchen (dishes that were in cabinets probably not cleaned by previous tenant). Dishes in general were sparse. Great space, friendly communication. We would stay again. Thank you!

Very cozy cottage in a shaded,wooded area with lots of wildlife to enjoy. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils, dishes and cookware. Comfortable beds. Lots of beach towels and extra towels. Love the beach and the bike paths. We would stay here again.

Spent a full week on Kiawah with my immediate family and it was such a lovely stay. It was our first time on the island and Cheryl’s home was perfectly located near the beach and an easy drive to the local restaurants and grocery store. Host was very communicative and we felt right at home. Looking forward to our next visit :)

It is one of the widest and largest beaches on the east coast that is worth the trip alone! The walk in the hot weather seemed longer than 7 min to the beach but we timed it and it was 7 minutes. We must be weak northerners not used to the heat. The shady paths were a bonus. The cottage was clean (especially the bathrooms) and well equipped but there was a slight moldy odor in the kitchen area upon opening cabinets. The dishes were chipped we wished we had brought paper plates. Who wants to do dishes anyway! The kids really enjoyed biking the trails but needed OFF spray by 4pm as we forgot about the ferociousness of the mosquitoes. For the very reasonable price and location the cottage is nice for a private stay especially with the dog. Great during covid so that you can social distance from others on the beach. Can't find that space on beaches up North! Thanks for sharing your home with us. I can imagine it's really lovely down in Kiawah in the fall and early spring when it isn't as hot.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay for the week. The house was clean, prepared and fully stocked with all the kitchen utensils you could ever need.
The walk to the beach is a wee bit long but very pleasant and scenic with abundance of natural beauty . The neighborhood is quite, clean and family and pet friendly. Highly recommended staying here.

Cheryl has a lovely property in a quiet area only a couple minutes walk to the pool and twice that to the beach. It was fun to take a morning walk around the pond and see a pair of alligators nearly every day.

We had a great time at this property. Kiawah is super laid back and relaxing. The house was in great condition, the beds are super comfortable. Overall enjoyed it and would stay again.

Amazing vacation!
This was such a wonderful trip and Cheryl was so helpful with any and everything Kiawah!! The cottage was so comfortable and had everything we needed. We plan on returning next summer!!

We had a wonderful stay in Kiawah (late May) and would certainly consider returning to this house again. Big pros about this property for us were:
-fairly near to the beach (maybe a 5 minute walk and 2 minute bike ride; boardwalk 1 was nearest and like most, is a great one)
-probably the best stocked and supplied house we've rented yet in Kiawah
-ease of communication with the landlord
-the house is dated but very comfortable and we adored the three decks, especially the front portion with the swing

The beach is spectacular, expansive and hard packed so you can walk and bike for miles. Also, if you turn right after entering the beach at Boardwalk #1 and keep walking you'll soon be surrounded by only the ocean and dunes. Heaven on earth! We easily rented lounges and an umbrella. Excellent service. If you haven't experienced the fun and historical city of Charleston, you're in for a real treat. Many tours in the area. We dined a few nights in the city. Anson was the winner. Closer to the house was The Royal Tern, which impressed us. On the island we enjoyed 48 Wine Bar, walked for cocktails and appetizers at the Cougar Point Golf Course and don't miss the Atlantic Room at the Ocean Course, where the PGA was held last year. The drive there is so pretty and so Kiawah. This house is very dog friendly and well maintained. You can tell only well-behaved dogs have stayed here. Ample comfortable seating. Very good washer and dryer in its own utility room. TV and Netflix easy to use. Offers a very private screened porch. Great for watching wildlife. Cheryl, the owner, extremely nice to work with. We all returned home so relaxed and refreshed after our two week stay. Looking forward to our return!

Spring break at 1026 Scaub Court
The property was exactly as described, well furnished, comfortable, all amenities expected and close to the beach on foot. Absolutely no complaints! A lovely setting for a family getaway. My daughter and her family were nearby with a similar unit not as nice and priced higher. They were also impressed with ours by comparison.

Snow Bird stay at Kiawah
Stayed at this location for 30 days. Extremely good site for beach and moving around Kiawah... Easy to bike paths and into off island commercial area. Furniture a little dated, but several different areas to sit, watch TV, or enjoy screened-in porch.
Location has high level of foliage and trees so sunlight does not always lighten the inside of house. Ended up turning on lamps even during daytime hours. Extremely quiet neighborhood.
Only real complaint was not having a really sharp set of knives ( restaurant quality) ..
Would definitely recommend...

Lovely and spacious
Lovely and spacious detached home. Fully winterized and comfortable in December. Two outdoor lounges - one fully screened and one open-air. Very quiet area with numerous walking paths and bike trails. House had everything we needed to prepare our meals.

Our week at Kiawah was wonderful. Cheryl’s house was the perfect place for my husband and I to relax and enjoy the beauty of the island. It was clean, well kept, convenient to the beach and perfect for enjoying the beauty around us. Thank you for sharing your house with us. We hope to return.

Great Location, Lots of Usable Space
The unit is a very, very short walk to a quiet portion of the beach (Boardwalk One) and managed to fit a great deal of usable space into a good-sized but not huge home. Screened-in porch, side (private) deck, front porch, good ground-floor storage….more than enough space for some separate spaces for adults and kids. Appreciate it and we’ll be back!

My mom and I (and our two dogs) came to stay during Fall Break. We absolutely love Kiawah and this location was perfect. It wasn't far from the beach or anywhere else we wanted to go. It was a great condo that you could tell was meant for the beach. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Great family vacation place
The house was great, close to beach walking or biking. There is a pool of the sea is rough. Hurricane Ida had us off the beach one day. Too windy! Only about a mile from dolphin strand feeding viewing. Great place to stay!

Another Lovely Stay in Kiawah
This is our second time renting for Cheryl and it was another great stay. The house is so close to the beach and the pool. The house has everything you need for a great stay. We really enjoyed the front swing this trip. We enjoyed eating lunch and having evening drinks and snacks out there.

The cottage is spacious and nice and about a 6-7 minute walk to the beach. We enjoyed the deck, the pool and the outdoor shower as well.

The owner Cheryl was very helpful and responsive- this was a wonderful experience! The cottage was the perfect size for our family of 5 adults. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was clean when we arrived (and the kitchen drawers were clean and organized as mentioned in an earlier post) We rented an umbrella and chairs at the beach for the week and we also rented bicycles-that made getting to the beach and pool fast and easy. The pool was not crowded and was refreshing to dip in after spending the day in the warm ocean water. We loved everything about this vacation! We will definitely be back!

The owner Cheryl was very helpful and responsive- this was a wonderful experience! The cottage was the perfect size for our family of 5 adults. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was clean when we arrived (and the kitchen drawers were clean and organized as mentioned in an earlier post) We rented an umbrella and chairs at the beach for the week and we also rented bicycles-that made getting to the beach and pool fast and easy. The pool was not crowded and was refreshing to dip in after spending the day in the warm ocean water. We loved everything about this vacation! We will definitely be back!
