Nicely located in town. I had a twin room that looked more modern well-maintained. The beds were very comfortable for me and with two bathrooms and showers, wait times were minimal. A well equipped kitchen on site and easy to find. Would recommend.
Like most hostels, cigarette smoking is difficult to manage. When people leave doors and windows open when they smoke, the smoke drafts into the building. Smoking is abhorrent to me. But even with a sign on the door, smokers don’t think how their actions impact other people’s health. The only thing the hostel could do is not allow smoking on the balcony and ask people to walk to the sidewalk. But I might be a rare person to ask this as so many people smoke. Also, this is a comment to the guests. Clean up after yourself in the kitchen. When you place pots in the frig with your food, there is one less pot for others to use. Be considerate of other sets.

It was convenient, inexpensive, and comfortable. Great kitchen facilities.
It was hot and another guest was very insistent about me not using my fan or having the window open.

Large room, large kitchen and common area. Hostel generally reasonably clean. Sturdy bunk beds. Large lockers and towels included in price.
Extremely rude manager. There is obviously a language barrier but unfortunately her total contempt for guests transcends any communication barrier. I have never felt so unwelcome in a place before, which immediately soured the mood of my visit. There is only one small dimly-lit bathroom for each sex. The bed was uncomfortable and I could feel the springs in the very old and worn mattress. The large rooom I was in has no fans or A/C so requires the window facing the street to remain open for the space to be cool. This street is quite busy and has loud traffic noise until about 00:30.
Better off spending a little more and staying in a guest house where you are actually welcomed, cared for and have a comfortable bed to sleep on.
