Cheap and well-located but wouldn’t stay again

Central location

Was not well cleaned, was not very well furnished and appointed, was advertised as a 1br but it is a studio. Only enough hot water for one person to take a shower, then the next person has to wait. Very loud music from the bar next door.

a clean, centrally located small apartment, great for a short stay.

great location, precise key collection instructions, and complimentary coffee!

the flat is on the ground floor, with one womdpw that opens up into a busy street. the only way to keep the noise and strangers’ stares out is to keep the window and blinds shut, and the a/c on.

Cute place in the heart of Lisbon.

Great place for the price. The location is very central and right beside the train station. I would recommend.

There are two apartments and I couldn’t contact to ask which one I was getting until I booked it. I got the bottom apartment, which does not have a window to look out. It’s on a major walkway so sometimes I would be woken up by loud people walking by at night. It wasn’t a big deal, but just a heads-up.

Poor

location was good, albeit it is needed to mention that their are 30-40 stairs from taxi (street level) to the main door

1. There was hard renovation noises during half of the day on Friday which made my afternoon very noisy and uncomfortable. It was coming from the upper floor. 2. The bathroom wasn't clean and I found many hair on the wall and near the toilet and towels.

not the unicorn that the ratings might lead you to believe.

The location was good. customer service prior to check in was good. I was motivated to get out of the flat early because it was so dark, and took advantage of the city.

There is no way this flat should be rated a “9”. Although I was in the upper flat, it was very dark, and the much-touted window view was far far smaller than it appeared in the photos and largely obscured by a strangely placed wall. It’s actually the only window, and it lets out almost directly onto a walkway, close enough that I was concerned it was secure. Someone wrote that they stayed for a month, which to me is inconceivable. The flat was poorly cleaned (stains on bed linens and towels, window shade long overdue for replacement). I had high expectations given the exceptional ratings and was definitely let down.

Very good

The location was perfect, very close to the city center, just 5 mins walk.

The bathroom smelt a bit damp, but then again we where there when the city got flooded, so not sure there was link...

Comfortable, and would recommend!

This apartment was in a great location, near Rossini bus station. For our 5 day trip, it was a great value and just what we needed for our short stay. Communication with owner was good, and unit was clean and comfortable.

We had a little bit of trouble with the front door upon arrival. The door required a significant push to open which we were unaware of. Luckily, the occupant of the other unit in the building came out to help. I would recommend the owner provide a few helpful hints to the traveler, such as this, and maybe add information in the apartment about getting bus/tram tickets, bringing toiletry supplies, for first time travelers.

If this place is free on your dates of stay, stop the search and book it now! You will not regret it. Everything met our expectations - accessibility, the view from the window, distance to most of the areas, sightseeing places, bars etc., as well as feeling of safety during the night time (on one of the evenings we walked up Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, where that area definitely didn't feel as nice and comfortable). Huge bonus was the friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts. From reaching out to you even before the arrival, to offering an airport transfer option (which we didn't use, but it's nice to have that in mind), and even allowing us to check out couple of hours later than it's normally asked, because there was a strong rain on previous day and we didn't get to do all the stuff we planned, and pushed that to our final day in Lisbon, but hadn't nowhere to put our bags. We noticed that in other areas there where a lot of bad reviews about the smell - again, in this place that wasn't a problem. Plus, we had absolutely no problems checking ourselves into the apartment, since the owner already sent us all the instructions needed before the arrival and the key was in the lock box. On our "research" we saw that for a lot of properties in Lisbon you needed to collect the keys from across the city, but luckily this wasn't the case. Thank you so much!

Location was perfect. Excellent shower and comfortable bed. I working from the apartment for most of the time that I was there and the wifi was great.

wonderful apartment perfectly located

Beautiful spacious apartment with view over Lisbon. The bed is cosy and the apartment is quiet although it’s located in central Lisbon. Everything is reachable per foot. The apartment is equipped very well and the check-in was smooth.

maybe lack of fresh air having the window right were the steps are, although excellent aircon you can smell a bit the dampness due to humidity but I guess there is nothing the owners can do to improve due to the nature of the property

Will definitely stay here again! :-)

The property owners/managers stayed in contact with us and provided instructions on how to access the property, provided the code, etc. They offered an airport transfer, which was cheaper than a taxi/Uber and very convenient. The transfer service even walked us to the property door.

Lisbon as always beautiful...

The room is located right in the centre, everywhere is close on foot.

The pictures on booking.com can be very misleading. They were misleading for me. The photos of the room itself inside are true, but the first and last photos suggest that the accommodation is in a building on the upper or top floor with a beautiful view of the hill with the castle... and this is not true. The place is on the ground floor and its window (100% taped over so you can't see anything) looks out onto a very noisy pavement (people come back there all night from the restaurants and bars of Bairro Alto). And second thing, I received the promised invoice for my stay after the intervention of HelpDesk Booking.com...

Central location , nice room with good facilities.

Central location. Good welcome by host. Good facilities. For the price you get to stay bang in the middle of town. Shopping and restaurants are all near by. Train station is next door and 2 metro stops are close by. It was very spacious and with full set of kitchen facilities and a nice table. I travelled alone so ate out all the time but for longer stay it will be great.

I stayed on ground floor, the staircase going up is separated by a frosted glass wall (I assume to let the light in and make the room brighter). And I can occasionally hear people on the street. Overall it was pretty quiet but I guess it can be a problem depends on who is staying upstairs or whether you have noisy crowds outside.

Amazing location

The location was excellent. We were right by the train station and metro. At night we had plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Perfect location, clean & friendly host

Very well located, spacious, lots of natural light coming in. The small kitchen had also everything I needed to prepare/warm up small meals. They even offered free coffee! Awesome shower, hair dryer, everything was super clean and the person who checked me in was super friendly!

The only thing I would mention is that I stayed in the ground floor, with the window facing the (sometimes) ‘busy’ street/stairs. So when I opened the window it became pretty loud. I also could hear people going up the stairs and using the shower in the upper floor, since the walls are quite thin. Luckily, during my stay I only saw people check-in there for like 2 days.

For a longer stay this is a a very nice place to stay in and nearby everything in the City center.

The room is very clean, its very close by the train station, subway, and city center. Everything you need for a longer stay is available in the room (kitchen with induction cooking plate, microwave, big refrigerator). The host is very friendly and the bed is very comfortable.

The apartment should have better isolation from outside and the room above. It's very noisy as there is a bar nearby and the people are pretty loud. You can hear the visitors from upstairs walking, talking, going to toilet etc. Als owe were a bit disappointed we didn't get the room upstairs with city views as was shown on the pictures.

Superb

Everything was OK, the room is fine. It was clean and fresh. There were some leaflets and magazines about Lisbon that you could use to look for attractions. The host was nice and explained us everything we needed to know.

The door comes out to a walking path/street that’s quite busy, so if you like to go to bed early and get easily disturbed by noise, might not be the best choice for you. However, the noise dies out at around 1-2am.
