About this house rental

Nestled in Sedgwick, this attractive house for $295 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Locals say the summer shoulder months (June and September) are the best months of the year! In addition to both sunrises and sunsets over the water from this contemporary 2 bedroom vacation home, you have a magnificent view of the iconic Deer Isle Bridge. When you are sitting in the living room, you feel like you are on on a boat. Slide a kayak or row boat into the Reach from the private beach less than 50 feet from the deck. This home is built in “pods.” The large main space includes the kitchen, living room, dining room and a full bath. A second pod is the primary bedroom and bath and the third pod is the guest bedroom. The house sleeps 4 comfortably. Six can be accommodated if the king size sofa bed in the living room is used. Pick herbs from the vegetable garden and enjoy a lobster dinner on the deck. The location near the Deer Isle Bridge is ideal for exploring Deer Isle and the Blue Hill Peninsula. Acadia National Park is an hour drive - perfect for day trips.

The house and property on Little Deer Isle are just the perfect getaway. The layout of the house, 3 separate pods, living area, and 2 bedrooms is great for gathering or having private time. We loved the rustic yet modern construction. The furnishings are comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and worked well. The deck would have been a great gathering space had we not had a spell of rainy weather during our stay. The views from the living area and deck is beyond amazing! Sunrise was beautiful and we loved watching several sailboats make their way by. The rocky beach area was so much fun to explore during low tide. Tara is a wonderful host! Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer!

This property was more than I imagined. Was extremely secluded, was at the dead end of gravel road which was a bit washed out, but maybe that kept others from coming down the road, the furnishings were nice with a fully stocked kitchen. has a wood stove with class window. and a supply of firewood. I highly recommend this cabin for your stay, in the Bar Harbor area. The drive to Bar Harbor and Arcadia National Park was about and hour.

The perfect quiet place by the water!!! Clean, pet friendly, cannot wait to come back. Owner was super responsive. I can't tell you how nice it is to stay in a clean place. I have stayed in countless vacation home rentals, and they are not all deep cleaned. Pantry was full of every kitchen thing you could need, and close proximity to all that upper Maine has to offer. Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful!!!!

Beautiful and comfortable cabin with lots of windows. We loved the views and experienced lots of deer, bald eagles, bard owls, squirrels, turkeys (who dined in the veggie garden) and the usual myriad of shore birds. Only suggestions are for some window coverings in larger bedroom and for a key to the main cabin (key only for bedrooms). Helped to have four wheel drive for the steep drive.

As soon as you arrive, you look through the wrap around windows at the beautiful bay and Little Deer Isle bridge, and don’t forget the “Lobstah” rolls at LDI at the bottom of the bridge!

It's rare, but it has happened exactly three times in our travels. We found a place that's so special, when we return each day from our adventures, we ask, why did we leave? This is the prettiest view we've seen. Very comfortable, charming home.

Our entire family found a happy place at this rental on Little Deer Isle. Mine was on the deck where the panoramic views were spectacular all the way to the suspension bridge. The house was charming, exceptionally clean and had a wonderful touch of fresh flowers at the dining room table. The kitchen had all of the cookware, gadgets, spices, and staples that you would need to cook a proper meal. The garden out back offered the freshest veggies to incorporate into our meals. Access to kayaks and a small row boat offered some great water sports for all. Directions to the location and check-in details were spot on. The communication was exceptional and we even got advanced notice of a power outage on the peninsula but still everything worked out as planned. We would definitely come back and stay here again if we ever make it back to Coastal Maine. Thanks again Tara!
